Trump is a Clown

The US is apparently in the “we won the war / we’re winning the war / we’ll win the war” trilogy, which would be impressive if it weren’t all being claimed at the same time. It’s also not a war. it’s an “operation", because apparently changing the word is supposed to change reality. The US needs allies, except it doesn’t. The enemy’s capabilities were totally destroyed… which is why they need to keep being destroyed. And the end goal? Regime change, maybe, into someone who could actually be worse. Great plan.

Then there’s the greatest hits album of contradictions:

The “amazing economy” president somehow coinciding with people feeling like everything got more expensive.
The “no war” president kicking off… more war.
The “drain the swamp” president turning the swamp into what looks like a family business with a loyalty program.
The “crypto president” somehow tied to stuff that ends up feeling like everyone got rugged.
The “full transparency” promise running straight into the kind of topics that never seem to get fully addressed.
And the “cheap oil” promise while prices decide to do the exact opposite.

At some point it just turns into a mess of contradictions. Like every statement only has to last for the moment it’s said, and then it gets replaced by the next one.

You don’t even need to argue policy details anymore. Just put the quotes next to each other and let them do the work. They contradict themselves better than anyone else could.

If nothing else, its consistent in one way: whatever the message is today, it doesnt have to match yesterday, and it definitely won’t matter tomorrow.
