Can You Become Successful With Conscious Content

9 posts in this topic

@Leo Gura I enjoyed your post on the traps of content creation. One question: What are your thoughts on living out a purpose based on conscious content? Is it possible to make enough of a living in this day and age with the algorithm, producing conscious, self-development, health, growth, life purpose etc. content?

What are your thoughts and advice?

It's very challenging. But creative ways exist.

You will probably need more materialistic strategies before you are doing the high consciousness stuff.

I couldn't start Actualized.org from scratch without previous capital and more popular content.

Running a very niche business is doable but requires a specialized strategy, like selling expensive courses and seminars, or coaching.

You need to be realistic about finances. Your finances must add up.

Jeff Bezos couldn't build rockets until he first built Amazon selling books. You can't start life building rockets. You have to work up to that.

I’m making travel videos, I’m trying to include useful information and of course make it cinematically beautiful, tell authentic stories but also mix some trends here and there. I figure yoI have to adapt some to what’s popular but it’s also ok to add your own spin some to be different and how you want.

Leo I basically have found a reasonably sustainable way to build up to where I’d like to be with my travel videos. I  work online so I can do digital nomad stuff. Realistically I’d like to make more niche travel content and go to weird places and chase some really interesting stories but I do have to work and do have to be in places with decent internet 5 days a week. So I figure leaning a bit into more popular destinations where I can work from and finding unique and beautiful things, even if they have been explored there’s always stuff going on and interesting stories to lean into. For example I’m going to Thailand next month which has a lot of tourists but there’s also some drama about the place being overrun by tourists so I figure I can do some research and do a documentary on how over tourism is displacing locals and try to find a unique way of showing g the place taking into account the challenges it faces. The whole “paradise lost” thing is really hard to do unless you have a lot of cash to go off the beaten path or are willing to sacrifice your safety like going to dangerous places but there’s creative ways I think to do materialistic stuff and build up to more passion based projects

Yes, indeed. Do that.

Just don't get stuck in materialism forever like most creators do.

@Leo Gura When you say more materialistic strategies do you mean changing the content to appeal to the larger lower audience?

Like is coaching guys through porn addiction and helping them find more holistic development and coaching people on how to fix their bad habits/install new ones, considered materialistic or higher consciousness?

@stephenkettley It doesn't much matter as long as it works and generates income.

Find any business niche that doesn't directly harm others.
