interpersonal "rudeness"

7 posts in this topic

i'm naturally a reserved person. i like it and it's who i am. saying people "must" be loud is a projected norm, it's not some innate thing of the universe.

i remember working in a voluntary body. Some very hot lady (and yes, their "kind" tends to be scum) who was a fellow volunteer kept on pestering me "why don't you speak much?" I then said, as i'd lost my tether, "i am who I am. and are you that limited that you must have everybody conform to you and whatever random whims you have in your brain? you have more looks than nous."

She complained that i was "rude". I supposed i was, and intended to be.

However, I deem it "rude" to let minor shit like that bother somebody. It is true imho that people who push this "loud and chirpy" vibe do so out of conditioning, and not because it's truly inherent. Few things in humanity are truly intrinsic. Personally, I'd only be bothered by something others do if it really affects me. I'd let off minor "things I didn['t like" of others. We all have quirks and minor shit.

I feel we should teach interpersonal skills in schools. and get graded for such as an actual exam. This could actually lessen social tensions. We don't have to like or feel comfortable around others. but generally this is due to internal prejudices and whims and things that aren't inherently harmful. We an either tolerate or not associate with others who don't make us feel comfortable, or otherwise don't engage to our liking. Because somebody does or says something we subjectively dislike, it doesn't make that person "bad" or "not as good". We can filter things and people out and move on. it's a shame most hottites don't get that.

@ShermaningeorgiaYour random outbursts and attacks show you are schizophrenically arguing with yourself in your head while being quiet.

If you werent someone saying 'why dont you speak so much?' wouldnt be seen as an attack on your character.

Why not say, 'Im just chilling.'

Are you mad that someone spoke to you? No one is complaining about you being reserved.

Imagine 'Why dont you talk so much?' As a genuine question. And you respond as if the person was attacking you.

Maybe the person just wanted to know if you didnt like them and now you randomly insult them for no reason.

That is rude.

Don't say that.

It’s justified. My point stands. People can manage around others better.

Aren’t you the Nazi who preaches kindness but then says some don’t deserve good medical treatment? I guess my church taught integrity.
