Shamanic breathing last 3 minutes

When I practice holistic breathing while lying on the floor, breathing in and out through my mouth, I experience extreme jitters in my face and the back of my head after about 3 minutes. These symptoms are intense enough that I can't continue, even though the practice is supposed to last for about 30 minutes. Has anyone else experienced this or knows what might be causing it?

Also I am experiencing a being hot around my body.

I get it can be intense, I also experienced these things and couldn’t continue. Things got better when I did it with a person that was guiding me and a small group. 
it can also be that you breathe too fast or not deep enough. It can take some time to find the right amount of depth and your rhythm… anyway it’s about letting go, even these uncomfortable feelings

I've done it many times and I haven't experience much discomfort even when I do it for 1-2 hours straight.

You can maybe look into some Kundalini symptoms, maybe it's related to that, an energetic thing.

But it also can be a physiological.

Can't you increase very slowly? +30 seconds or +1 minute per sesson, maybe you've to just get used to the feeling?
