I have to learn how to produce high quality AI pictures of clients and also some kind of real life socialization component to stand on top of the marketplace. I do dating photography as one of my businesses.

What do you mean AI pictures of clients?

What specific ways do you use AI for dating photography?

You do editing with AI instead of traditional Adobe way?

Right now I do actual photoshoots with light retouching with Photoshoot/lightroom/Faceapp. It's been shown to me though that people can replicate full photoshoots with just living room face pictures at a fraction of the cost and similar if not better results so I have to do my own tests and be able to produce the cutting edge AI pictures to remain industry leading.

I thought it would come up as fake but unless you go overboard I know a guy who got a GF off of fully AI pictures and over multiple dates with different women didn't come up as a topic of conversation.

Hasn't effected my job much - it has assisted with offloading menial admin tasks (meeting minutes, compiling, budget reports).

But in terms of estimating and project management / contract administration? No effect. AI can't deal with any sort of plan reading or takeoffs. It has no intuition for estimating because it cannot integrate the process of building and the logistics needed with the plans and written specifications. Even when extracting data it makes HUGE errors that could cost our business tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands, in losses. Our typical bids are between 400k for a small job up to 6mill.

It can do some basic plan work, but will never replace my work while AI remains an LLM. And there are no universal standards for plans. So every set is COMPLETELY different. And most plansets are incomplete and rely on design and construct. It simply cannot fill in the gaps.

Project management / contracts admin - it can help with interpretation of the legalities when problems arise and we need to lean on the head contact. Really good to feed it a contract and ask for clarification/context.

There is legit way too much going on in construction for it to have much of an 'on the ground' effect. It's all people skills, coordination, logistics, material orders, shop drawings and multi-variable shit that goes into building a hospital.

You want something done in construction? Pick up the phone. LLMs have zero impact there. Only good for documenting. And even then I have to revise and check. I can touch type out something faster than I can have AI compile and then me fine tooth review it.

Meeting minutes for online teams meetings, it has been excellent though.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

@Natasha Tori Maru Yeah, all that makes sense in the construction industry.

I think it will stay as LLM for a long time to come, so you should be safe.

I think there aren't many industries that LLMs affect that much, except for maybe software and couple others. And even there, it affects mostly positively for experienced people.

Aside to your work, do you use it for your personal life in some way? It's pretty useful when you are learning new things for example.

One interesting usage that I've found was the following kind of questions:

Quote

"Based on everything you know about me, what are the 2-3 recurring patterns you see across my behavior — not just what I've identified myself, but what the data suggests?"

"Based on everything you know about me, where do you see the biggest gap between my self-understanding and my actual behavior?"

"Based on everything you know about me, what am I most likely avoiding right now that I haven't named yet?"

etc.

And since it has memory form all your past conversations, it might give you some answer that changes your perspective or gives you new insights.

As I'm thinking more about it, I can't come up with another industry that might be affected with LLM's much, other than computer programming and maybe education system.

A lot of graphic design and marketing jobs have already and will keep being lost due to AI being able to replicate template very effectively at this point.

This guy explains all his past work as put into an AI model and now his company could just produce stuff that's 80% as good instantly. That was a year ago so god knows how much more powerful the models have gotten by now.
