Understanding islam scientifically.

4 posts in this topic

I wanted to understand islam from a scientific, and historical perspective. I've come to the realization that the revelation of muhammed was an induced brain state from meditation. Which a lot of muslims have shared in the past when they talked about seeing God or such things.

Feel free to share your discoveries on the topic as well.

Islam is a belief system meant to pacify the region. To get order out of chaos the easiest way to do it is to give people a simple ideology and explanation for their lives and punish them when they deviate from that.

Are you familiar with the bahai faith? It's a religion that believes that God's truth was delivered to mankind along different eras depending on the needs of the time to ultimately I guess lead to the ascension of mankind and peace on earth. Sounds about right to me, all major religions share the same general message with a different theme depending on when they came to be.

"The Retreats: As he approached 40, Muhammad became increasingly troubled by the social inequality and idol worship in Meccan society. He began spending long periods in solitude, meditating in the Cave of Hira on Mount Jabal al-Nour."

I'm not too familiar Muhammad's story but apparently he literally prayed to God for a way to unite his people and was given insight on how to do so.

Great.

People dont understand Islam nowadays because they take certains verses, that say for example kill the non-believers and say its evil.

But back in Pre-Islamic Arabia Non-Believers were not Atheists they were the Idol Worshippers and the verses of killing them happened right in the middle of wars were the Muslims were attacked, persecuted and tortured by the Idol-Worshippers who  feared their traditions and their financial interests (the Sale of Idols in Mecca).

If one carefully reads the surahs, one finds out in what barbaric times Muhammed lived, like Slavery being a common thing, sending feminine Slaves into prostitution and so on. So Islam was revealed to him in order to abolish slavery (slowly) to abolish Idol-Worship) or the Worship of Rulers like the Pharao of whom all of them are heavily criticized in Islam. It teaches the human to fast (which was very hard in the dry and hot arabian desert) in order to gain spiritual insights and in order to understand what people without food have to go through.

It taught the people not to accumulate wealht, as wealth has no value, but to donate it to the poor. It taught the people to do good deed like helping orphans and the poor, freeing the slaves and so on.

It was a time were God was a statue and that Statue could have been sold and given sacrifices to and he established the Oneness of God in all of existence (not as hypocritical Christians think, that there is a muslim God and a Christian God).

So the countless references of Hell are merely a way to frighten the Non-Believer (the Idol Worshippers) and to bring them to change their character and do good deeds with the fear of heel as a bad perspective for them

All the prophets taught Love, Connection, Oneness. All the religions that came after the prophets altered the teachings and overtime became crafted by the ideas and beliefs of man and priests that could only digest partial teachings, thus over-time became more and more distorted and far from the original words of the prophets / greats themselves.

If you get 100 people in a circle and whisper them a simple passage, by the time its reached the 100th person within a span of few minutes its already changed significantly, now imagine how much has been changed, altered and manipulated whether deliberate or misunderstanding in the span of thousands and thousands of years.

So the only way we can truly connect to the original teachings and seek God/Source / Truth / Liberation from within, then you hear and see the true words because all greats speak the same language and similar teachings, its those who misunderstanding who distort the message and teachings.

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance ~ of a unified mystery...
