Thoughts on 2C-B?

My friend has access to some 2C-B and I am considering trying it. Do any of you have experience with 2C-B? Do you have any thoughts or advice on how to use the trip effectively?

I know Leo had an old video where he described experiencing physical death on it. Most other people seem to report fairly superficial experiences, though, at least compared to other psychedelics. I have also heard that it can have quite a heavy body load.

Eh, it's alright. If that's all you have access to, it's still better than nothing. Though if it's sourced from darknet markets and especially in pressed form, it's difficult to assess the purity. Phenethylamines in general carry a more notable body load due to vasoconstriction, while rarely providing anything special that can't be had from tryptamines. Not entirely worthless by any means, but never my first choice. 2C-B is one of the most forgiving in that regard as well as tolerance-wise. I did have my first complete awakening to Solipsism on 2C-B, but that was with 120mg, which regular people shouldn't push. Otherwise it's pretty decent as a sort of training wheels psychedelic, but then again so can 4-HO-MET and the like.

That’s a very strong dose. What is it like at that high of a dose?

Yes, these are pills so I won’t be able to test them. That being said, other people have taken them already and described the expected effects of 2c-b.

I’m a bit worried about this as I have been having problems with vasoconstriction from nicotine use recently. I’ll have to cut that out before I try it.

I’m hoping that since I already have experience with other psychedelics (mostly acid, also psilocybin, Changa and 5-MeO) and have a long-time interest in metaphysical inquiry, it might prove to be a more profound experience for me. We’ll have to see, if I ever take it…

As powerful as some of the classics like LSD or 5-MeO's at that dose. Lesson is if you take enough of almost any psychoactive, it could launch you into God-consciousness all the same. Whether you'll survive the ordeal is a separate matter. Posted my old trip report, check it out if interested:

Not ideal, at this point you just have to see how trustworthy the source is. 30-35mg is a good starting dose for someone experienced with other psychedelics.

Cut it out regardless, but for vasoconstriction specifically it's good practice to have something like clonidine around, plus benzos/antipsychotics as emergency trip killers. 2C-B is pretty light though, the real trouble starts at 2C-E, DOx, and NBMOes.

Possible. I've seen everything from people accidentally snorting 200mg and simply drowning in a sea of visuals, which is child's play next to my 120mg or even Leo's 20mg. Depends on quality of one's consciousness, but also there's a pretty definite ceiling via receptor affinity levels and such.

A friend told me that 2C-E is a guaranteed bad trip. Looking it up now, though, it doesn’t seem to be the case…

Thanks for the advice and sharing your interesting trip report. I don’t think I’ll be able to get hold of clonidine but I might be able to find an equivalent alternative.

The tablets are supposed to be 25mg. I’ll probably start with one and see how it goes. It’s interesting you say that as other people who have taken it told me that one and a half tablets gave the best experience.

It's quite intense, with a steep dose-response curve. A few extra mg can make the difference between fun & games and existential terror. I have a good amount saved, it's still one of the better substances out there; pity it's a rarity these days. 
'Real trouble' simply means body load and vasoconstriction specifically. On 30mg I had to puke and was overheating. The DOx are even harsher and just last way too long, days for some people, never more than 20h for me, but past even 10 any trip gets annoying and lukewarm. Psychedelic amphetamines as a class are rather pointless overall, save for a few exceptions like MDMA; either do psychedelics or amphetamines, not their retarded child.

More like it just has a darker vibe to it, it's to 2C-B what DPT is to DMT. But some prefer that, myself included. For fat egos and generally immature people it sure feels like a bad trip though.

In the EU at least there's plenty of online pharmacies that sell prescription meds that are OTC or just stolen in, let's say, less developed member states. RC benzos aren't as easy to come by these days as they used to, but can still be found on the clearnet.

Sounds about right, 20mg is often rather light even for amateurs; Leo just has an abnormal sensitivity to all psychs.

Well, at best it will just be an unpleasant background nuisance. Mind over matter doesn't fly here. Even being unable to control auditory hallucinations while in absolute God-realization is possible (in general, on any substance), Consciousness is weird like that. But if the trip goes sideways the body load will surely add fuel to the fire, creating a vicious circle. Puking on that 30mg 2C-E and similarly with a bunch of DXM just wasted the trip and gave me a headache, no other negative effects per se. If you take too much the body might auto-reject it. Then again, oftentimes it's immediately after puking that people start rolling hard as fuck on MDMA. But the mechanisms there are different. 

I haven't experienced vasoconstriction in a long time due to a variety of factors — switching ROA to IM, barely doing any phenethylamines, and getting/producing higher quality substances, among others.

@LambdaDelta do you also experience VC with mescaline? I'm not at all interested in phenethylamines as a class bc they don't seem very deep but mescaline is the exception , it's the psychedelic I most want to try (but I don't want to kill any cacti in the process).

You may be disappointed when you finally get to try it. Or not, everyone is different. For me mescaline and proscaline were so unremarkable I barely even remember anything about the experience. To the best of my recollection, there wasn't much of VC, they're on the lighter side of PEA body load. You can find synthetic mescaline sulfate btw. I only bought a gram of each, perhaps that's why it was so mediocre. But if a substance requires shoving hundreds of mgs down your throat to have a significant effect, that usually means it's simply not a very good one, with very few exceptions. Most likely there'll exist some close analogue that's an order of magnitude more potent. To wit, both 2C-B and 2C-E are part of the "magical half-dozen" of PEAs, together with mescaline, as per Shulgin.
