fear after krya yoga

3 posts in this topic

Hi guys,

Hope this right place to post. I've been meditating for a while and last month started practicing krya yoga. My practice is quite simple just Nadi and Ujjayi breathing as in Santama book folowed by concentration, on top I nearly learned full Kechari mudra, but just struggling to fully insert my tongue into nasal cavity.

Anyways what I wanted to share, is that this practice is so powerfull, I've never experienced such strong things before. So recently I kept having this very strong tension between my eybrows while meditating, and randomly throughout the day. This tension keeps spreading around my head, and during concentration it feels like its spreads outside of me and takes me up. Furthermore, after practice usually I go straight to bed and recently I started to have this feeling of huge wast space when I close my eyes, this space has like star tunnel and its so wasr feels like its taking me away, but fear of letting go of my body holds me back, its nice joyus feeling, but I feel fear in parallel.

Any tips what the hell is those feellings, this internal space? It feels so wast like looking at the sky with millions of starts, but i'm inside lying in the bed and the fear, how do I get over thst fear? I feel that part of my is afraid as if its gonna die.

Face the fear head on.

That's the ego's fight or flight response kicking in. It's not easy letting go.

Next time you feel that fear take a leap of faith and surrender to it. Even if you said "OK fear. If you're going to kill me, kill me now". Is it really going to kill you? If anything, part of the ego will die away. Are you ready for that?

In Zen this is known as Having a Red-Hot iron ball stuck in your throat. Do you swallow it? or do you spit it out? You decide.

When the secret is revealed to you, you will know that you are not other than God, but that you yourself are the object of your quest.

Do you mean you started noticing and seeing conscious movements in the black screen when you close your eyes?
