The 5 infinities coming to humanity

I've been thinking and researching about this concept for a while without being able to articulate it but this concept came to me recently.

I believe there are 5 infinities coming to humanity in the next decades as long as we don't blow up eachother beforehand.

1) Infinity of money

The most fun one. Although AI has not yet fulfilled it's financial promise there are already plenty of intitutions working on financial agents that will basically solve the concept of money through financial markets and even sales agents and eventually physical robots that fulfill labor jobs and end up providing the basis of the economy. For those of you that will now say that this will lead to a dystopian future, I don't believe so. That's one of the outcomes but you could say that outcome lacks alignment in terms of game theory and if someone made a smart contract that owned financial AI agents and automatically redistributed funds accross 8 billion unique wallets for each human that would be the most financially sound business model possible and would end up beating out other use cases for financial agents that other companies are gonna sell and pitch for your investments. 

 

Proof of personhood is a concept in crypto being worked on right now to create unique wallets for each human so that bots can't overun the internet basically and human identities are protected across the web. No longer will anyone on earth be a non identifiable data point.

They're not very successful so far but you can imagine that as they work on iteration the ones a year from now let alone 5 and 10 years will be pretty insane and completely overhaul the fabric of our current global economic system. 

There are mainly scenarios that turn out dystopian and oligarchal but I believe in the game theory that favors populism and the end of class divide and the enforcement of unalienable human rights through blockchain.

 

2 ) Infinity of Energy

 One of the biggest crisis facing humanity is climate change through the use of fossil fuels. There are massive advancements made in terms of renewable energy which the biggest of which being nuclear energy and the ever illusive nuclear fusion. There are major breakthroughs happening every few years in that regard and commercial fusion is predicted to come on the market as early as 2030.

Companies like Helion Energy are planning to release their first pilot in 2028. 

More bearish estimates have this revolution coming closer towards 2035-2050 and that's possible especially with the current blugening of the US scientific apparatus and the cooling of US and china collaboration but the good news is that this is practically possible and is mostly held back not by technological limitations no longer but moreso by geopolitical realities of our current era. 

For those not familiar with fusion power it's basically in a nutshell infinite free green energy on the scale that humanity has never seen before.

 

3) Infinity of life

This might be the most drastic but there are also multiple world class institutions currently working on and making good advances on ending aging and even reversing it. One of which being Harvard school of medicine through the lab of Dr. David Sinclair as well as Altos Labs and multiple other labs. 

 

 

4) Infinity of physical space 

The first human is predicted to land on Mars in the 2030s or early 2040s and although it might not be exactly a luxury vacation at the present moment if you choose to accept or at least temporary imagine the premise that humans are soon to be biologically immortal the we can easily make the case that humanity will surely spread throughout the Solar system and soon enough universe. 

 

There are 2 trillions in the observable universe and many times more than that overall so you can easily say the case that God made the universe to be completely infinite and humanity will be gifted the opportunity to explore it once we make peace on earth and get our technology beyond light year travel. 

 

5) Infinity of virtual space

 The most easily imaginable and in a way already is the case today but I think you can easily picture it once you think of virtual reality and augmented reality fully taking hold in our society. Pokemon Go was a basic example of what an augmented reality phenomenon will look like and billions of dollars have been put in virtual reality each year for over a decade now and the most recent versions are starting to become something aching to infinity virtual worlds. The main current limitation is the bulky and uncomfortable headset but if you've read thus far and started thinking about the other technologies I've mentioned then pratical VR shouldn't be too crazy for you to imagine. It will soon come in the form of quite comfortable VR headsets that are closer to the AR glasses currently on the market and eventually will become pretty seemless through contact lenses and eventually full on brain-computer interfaces and full 5 senses(and new senses?) immersion. 

 

I think many people here will have objections here but I wanna at least start the discussion off in terms of timelines and possibility. So people tend to overestimate progress in the short term and underestimate it in the long term. It was not that long that if you told someone about humans flying through the sky through metal tubes all over the world you would've been called stupid and crazy. I'm not a fan of the current wave of doomerism spreading on the internet and in our society as I'm a firm believer that the future is looking quite optimistic as long as we solve the very real serious problems that are facing humanity. We humans are incredibly powerful and soon will perhaps be infinitely powerful as long as we unite and reach towards these 5 infinites and beyond.

The first one is interesting and I can now see your vision and why you’re so optimistic. The rest of them are kind of no-brainers, but the first one would really set us up for a utopic future if it'd indeed come to fruition, basically an extreme version of the trickle-down effect promised so many times by capitalism, but this time actually carried out by AI run companies in the most ultimate and final way possible, since that would be the most logical conclusion of game theory. At the same time, a proof-of-personhood decentralized blockchain system would serve to differentiate human identities from bots, while still keeping our identities relatively anonymous. You could say this puts us at the complete mercy of AI whims, but since that kind of future is probably unavoidable anyway, that critique is void. So yeah, I can see it as a possibility
