What if Christian sees Buddhist?

14 posts in this topic

What if a Christian or Christian atheist sees Buddhist, and states that letting go is impossible: words are rephrased, meanings changed, activities not seen explained as if Christian sin was there? In Spain sometimes I feel as if some people lost the contact with the ground - my words are stated back to notice me that it's impossible of letting go; people participiate in some kind of fighting with me, about things I never asked for, even really walking away and stopping all the contact might not work: it's somehow explainable. They seem thinking Buddhist has to cope many problems in Zen, almost superhuman - where for me it seems, Zen is stronger and stronger with any problem, even this one; I do the Zen letting go earlier, even if it makes me seem already an autist.

They are opposite religions. Christians see satan as God and God as Satan and reversed for buddhism or any eastern religion really. Christians see the dark side as evil when its their creator. I think Chrisitianity is a puppet religion of the Jews.

Mara is an equivalent to Satan in buddhism. And lower realm spirits (demons) are are called pisachas, rakshasas, pretas in buddhism.

Mara is actually high diety in buddhism, but still its just as evil as florist or icecream worker, eg realm of samsara

That's a misleading description. To be a deity of stupidity, delusion and madness is not honorific.

This was a great reunion, and Jesus, the Master of old, consented to
become the pupil once more, in order to transcend what he had
accomplished in times gone by. Only the true masters know that
they will always remain pupils, Brothers, never forget this. No real
humility will ever engender humiliation.

"Thus Jesus heard and studied, with Lamas, the texts left by
"Gautama".

In a nutshell, Jesus went to India and the great priest lamas helped him remember the truth from the teachings passed down by Buddha.

Both Christians and Buddhists have no idea... Osho told the story of both far more accurately.

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance of separative... unity...

Dear sir, let me unfold a little more to thy contentment...In the Pali Canon of Theravāda Buddhism, Māra is not a "fallen angel," a Satan analogue, or a primordial evil deity. He is a powerful, long-lived deva who rules the highest plane of the sensual realm

For cheetcodes spreadsheet look up:

Māra Saṃyutta (SN 4)

Christian Atheist: a person apologizing you for conquistadores and inquisition; being cynical if you are *believer* but not christian, reminding that you are not proper christian if you do not belong to catholic church, perhaps thinking that religions outside christianity are crazy people. Ethics definitely equals to christianity.

It has been said that atheists of different churces can be seen clearly different.

Positive case of christian atheist is this: they have been convinced in christian ethics and that godlike creature would indeed be like christ, for example rather than satan.

In my home country I am not exactly "non-christian" - I am a Viking and Vikings indeed see a deep truth in Word of Christ; but indeed I am exactly a Buddhist. But for people who just think Bible is a good prophecy: there should be another word, not "christian".

@tvaeliJesus isnt Christian. Christianity and him dying on the cross for your sins was made up after they murdered him. Now Christians carry the tool they used to kill him around their neck as a mockery of him.
