Concentration pratice frustration. Any advice?

So I been doing concentration pratice from Leo's video in 20 days give or take. I have been off and on many times since it is a really fucking difficult pratice. 

I do it for 5 min, but no matter what my mind wanders away, despite being disciplined and always bring my focus back on my object of choice. I have done the finger palm and listen to tic tok sounds (Not Tik Tok). 

This practice is really frustrating. I have been hardstuck for 5 min for several days. My mind wanders within 1-2 min.  

 

Any advice on how to break the plateau? 

How long did it take for you guys to reach 20 min of laser focus concentration without a single thought wandering? How did you do it? 

Are you supposed to be laser focused for the entire duration without a single thought wandering? 

Am i being a perfectionist?

Try to talk to yourself and make yourself a deal that you will do something good after. When you sit down say mind if you focus and dont wander when this is done I will do something fun. When the mind starts wandering sternly say to yourself that you made yourself a deal to be quiet. And just look at the energy behind your eyes.

You actually have to do the thing you promised yourself after too. Become a partner with yourself and work together.

Remember you are a construct like your mother is a construct in your mind. If you promise something and dont do it 'you' will get just as angry as if you promise something to someone else that you will do something, and you dont do it for them.

When you get going you will start to see many images form out of the blackness. First you will see energy forming in a circle then the circle will get bright then the images will start to come and they will be hyper realistic. Some will look even more realistic than reality. Once you see the images meditating will start to be cool. It should take less than 10 minutes to start seeing random 3d movies.

You are looking for patterns in the blackness energy. Like you are in a dark in the forest looking for something to look at.

Once you get good you wont have to verbally remind yourself to not wander you can do it without words as you are now in partnership with yourself.

When you introduce language the subconscious mind will loose focus as a human is like if a quantum computer and a binary computer were merged together. The quantum computer has no idea what the binary computer is doing and cant understand it.

That's not the goal, that's not how you do meditation!

This approach only brings frustration as its in the nature of the mind to wander.

Well how do you explain how zen monks are able to tame their monkey mind after years of pratice? How do you explain how people are able to achive no-mind state after intense 30-60 days meditation retreat. that last longer then few min. 

I really want to achive no mind state one day, if only a day. 

Also in Leo's video said this concentration pratice is like meditation on streiods on an industrial level.

Pure observation dissolves the mind. You dont fight the mind, you let it sink in your light of consciousness.

Have you tried self-enquiry?

It's also intense approach of dissolving the mind into it's source by seeking the source of the thoughts.

I didn't watch the Leo's vid but I'd suggest to watch those videos I've shared for you, it's gold information regarding what true meditation is.

For me personally art, self-enquiry, meditation and yoga during course of years allowed me to gain some mastery over the mind (not God level mastery) in an extend that I can achieve still of the mind in any time I want by just sheer will power.
