Embarrasing Health Issues Megathread

5 posts in this topic

Was thinking of making this topic for a long time, but unironically I was too embarrassed to :$.

What are some of your embarrassing health issue you experience, or just weird things that your body does that you'd rather not happen (but it does anyway).

I'll start first: often times after I pee, I dribble myself, and I get a bit wet in my underwear. :(

When I meditate, during yoga, pilates or when I sometimes just relax, I get spontaneous muscles twitches especially in the neck and jaw area.

In the evening alone I can open up to it, jut sit and be still, and let the body do its thing. But in everyday life I need to hold a bit of tension in the body so people don't look at me weird

You can go for the "kundalini" and "spontaneous kriya", the spiritual stuff as explanation. But there is also normal physical life where it's simply strange, uncomfortable nervous system stuff and I rather not have it.

Here are smart words that present my apparent identity but don't mean anything. At all.

Good thread. Out of my health issues, I have one that is a bit embarrassing to me, and that is that I occasionally struggle with bad breath! Two family members have occasionally pointed it out, my friend said she hasn’t smelled it though luckily. I am aware of it sometimes because sometimes I can feel my mouth gets dry and I can feel it’s not the freshest

I did my own research and I think one medication I took as a child for a long time could contribute because I found a study that said it can damage teeth, plus I took anti biotics as I child which can cause fungal infections in the mouth.

Im doing research into it, I’ve tried some things like oral probiotics, I’m not fully sure if it  helps but I’m trying (besides from consuming mint and drinking enough water etc)

I'm super addicted to Nutella

My mind says no, but my body says yes everyday.

And then I go researching about subtle health issues like HM toxicity from accumulation over time. How laughable!

To me that just sounds like simple muscle tension. Like if I sit for long or don’t exercise I will feel more tense than if I move around. I also have issues with my spine which contributes. A life of bad posture could put our bodies in non optimal positions and cause us to be locked into un-alignment so when we sit still we don’t sit in the right way for example , or when we move in yoga etc we move in the wrong way
