Book of Mormon says Christianity (The bible) is Satan

10 posts in this topic

Some mormons came to my house and gave me a book of mormon to talk about since I want to talk about God and learn about God I am reading the book.

In this book it is clearly stating that the bible and Christianity is the 'great and abominable church' which contradicts the entire religion of Mormonism as its supposed to be read beside the bible. Here is the passage

And it came to pass that I, Nephi beheld that they did prosper in the land; and I beheld a 'book' and it was carried forth among them.

Knowest thou the meaning of the book?

I said unto him; I know not.

And he said : Behold it proceedeth out of the mouth of a Jew. The book that thou beholdest is a record of the Jews which contains the covenants of the Lord...

And after they go forth by the hand of the twelve apostles of the lamb, from the jews unto the gentiles, thou seest the formation of that great and abominable church, which is most abominable above all churches for behold they have taken away from the gospel of the Lamb many parts which are plain and most precious and also many covenants of the Lord have they taken away. And all this have they dont that they might pervert the right ways of the Lord, that they might blind the eyes and harden the hearts of children and men.

Wherefore, thou seest that after the book hath gone forth through the hands of the great and abominable church, that there are many plain and precious things taken away from the book, which is the book of the Lamb of God.

And after these plain and precious things were taken away it goeth forth unto all the nation of the Gentiles; and after it goeth forth unto all the nations of Gentiles, yea, even across the many waters which thou hast seen with the Gentiles which have gone forth out of captivity, thou seest - because of the many plain and precious things which have been taken out of the book, which were plain unto the understanding of the children of men, according to the plainness which is in the Lamb of God -- because of these things which were taken away out of the gospel of the Lamb, an exceedingly great many do stumble, yea, insomuch that Satan hath great power over them.

The book, the bible, the religion, Christianity. It is saying in the book of Mormon that the bible is the book of Satan because they edited it. The book makes Jesus seem like an impossible standard becaue they take his normal parts out and this makes people lose hope and Satan takes them.

Mormons are idiots who believe that golden plates written in reformed Egyptian language, a language that no philologists or linguists have confirmed the existence of, was found in Upstate New York of all places. And not in, I don't know... Egypt.

Their prophet was a certified charlatan and con-artist who married children. They believe that in America there existed ancient civilizations called the Nephites and Lamanites, who waged war while riding around in golden chariots. The existence of either civilizations, n'or the chariots, has been confirmed by archaeologists.

And the final nail in the coffin is the ancient papyrus for which their prophet claimed to be the "book of Abraham". This papyrus was translated by various scholars, and it had literally nothing to do with Abraham.

@Husseinisdoingfine It said it was hebrew words written in egyptian because it was easier to write the words in Egyptian on plates, Hebrew would have been too long. There are other tablets that were written on such as the emerald tablets. It said when Jerusalem fell the city turned into 2 tribes the nephites and the lamanites and they both went to America and one group killed the other. This happened 1000 years before the naztec and mayans according to the book.

These are some quotes on what the book of mormon says about Christianity and the bible

1 Nephi 13:4-9: Describes its characteristics, including a love of wealth and persecution of the saints.

1 Nephi 13:26-29: Mentions how this church removed "plain and precious" parts from the scriptures.

1 Nephi 14:3: Refers to the "pit" dug by this church to lead souls to hell.

1 Nephi 14:10: Calls it the "mother of abominations" and the "whore of all the earth," and states there are only two churches: the church of the Lamb of God and the church of the devil.

1 Nephi 14:12: Mentions the church of the Lamb of God being few in number "because of the wickedness and abominations of the whore who sat upon many waters."

1 Nephi 14:13: Describes this church gathering multitudes to fight against the Lamb of God.

1 Nephi 14:15-17: Foretells that God's wrath will be poured out upon it, leading to its destruction.

1 Nephi 22:13-14: States that the great and abominable church will be destroyed and its members will fight among themselves.

Other books also reference the concept:

2 Nephi 28:18: Mentions the fall of "Babylon" and the "great and abominable church."

Mormon 8:36: The prophet Moroni sees a future church that loves money and "abominations," echoing the earlier descriptions.

If you want a religion to check out I highly recommend Hare Krishna's. They secretly have a massive key to God. They're in love.

Check out the different srimad bagavatam cantos (the study versions of the bagavad gita). They're directly laced with mystical power. When I look at those pages it's like they're moving in front of my eyes. I actually can't read more of them yet...comfortably.

@Hojo yeah bro, the srimad bagavatam cantos are more powerful. They have blessings or some shit. Some kind of mystical power. They're different to the bagavad gita, they explain it more. Reading the bagavad gita as a non-scholar is kinda like reading the bible as a non scholar. You won't get much of it. Maybe 10% absolute max.

@theoneandnoneDo you think any religious text hold spiritual truths in them?
