Thoughts on the carnivore diet these days?

I think I’m going back on the carnivore diet for awhile because of auto immune issues and chronic pain

 

I’ve been on the carnivore diet before. Hate how restrictive it is. I love food and travelling and it’s very hard with this dumb diet.

What happened to all the carnivore proponents of this forum?

 

They all died from malnutrition?

Why not simply delete foods that trigger auto-immune diseases. 

I wouldn't like do carnivore for the same reason i wouldn't be vegan it's too restrictive; i want continu eat my steak fries salade beer cigarettes

Because for some people it’s basically all foods that trigger inflammation.

I’m not sure i will try carnivore diet again and see if the pain goes away. It certainly does help but if it’s worth it to life so restrictive and who knows what health issues it could cause.

For example Jordan Peterson and his daughter do the carnivore diet because of auto immune diseases. But they are a crazy bunch.

@PurpleTree You can try carnivore and if it works progressively add foods to spot which of them cause the immune problems.

I've been practising this diet lately. And by lately I mean for 2 and a half decades. It's called "Eat whatever I want" diet, perhaps you've heard of it

Doesn’t work for auto immune and inflammation unfortunately.

Yea that’s called reintroduction phase but it’s not that easy because with some symptoms it takes longer. And there are also other influences like weather etc.

Well I don't think eating meat only is going to help you with those issues. If anything, it's just going to create other problems due to various deficiencies. Same as veganism. Eat everything and figure out other possible causes

@PurpleTree Sad that Michael left the forum, he would likely have some answers. 

Well you are stuck with auto immune disease for the rest of your life, so wouldnt it be worthed to try out everything under the sun? 

I read that sugars and refined carbs are almost always the enemy, you could cut those out as a start.

Well my hope is that i can get enlightened and put it in remission know what i mean?

But realistically it’ll probably just end with a suicide in a bathtub or something.
