Sam Harris observes: "At the level of your experience, you are not a body of cells, organelles, and atoms; you are consciousness and its ever-changing contents". Seen in this way, consciousness is a subjectively experienced, ever-present field in which things (the contents of consciousness) come and go.

The prevailing scientific view is that consciousness is a function of the brain, and therefore cannot exist without it. However, some theories propose that consciousness may exist independently of the brain, potentially as a fundamental property of the universe. These theories are often explored in the context of near-death experiences and other phenomena that suggest conscious awareness may persist beyond physical death

Consciousness is infinite and all there is. Science is retarded.

Problem solved.

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

Even if consciousness functions through an interface like the brain, it would be an essential property of the universe, or of reality. Reality would create brains through which consciousness would be structured in a certain way. If there is consciousness, as we see, there is infinite consciousness. This doesn't mean that there is only consciousness, but that consciousness emerges in reality infinitely. Even odds numbers are also infinite and are not the entirety of reality.
