Didn't do the challenge yet, but I will, just would like to say that effects do occur. Yes, and they are marvelous and wonderful to look at be perceived. Doesn't make them real and not empty and void of substance that really matters to what is.

The point is, some perceptions are illusory and some are true. Some perceptions happen because the mind distorts reality through projections and ego and what not and when the mind becomes like a plain mirror, then it reflects reality perfectly without any distortions. That's enlightenment. That's illumination.

Imagine for a moment, dear friends, that you are Conciousness, and that you have only this one awareness - that you are at peace, and that you are.

Ok. Never thought of it that way. Can't see how some perceptions are true and some illusory. Who or what determines it's validity. I would say all perceptions are false and true simultaneously real and unreal, but ALL not some. A perception is just that, a perception. It's like saying falsehood can be true sometimes and truth can be false. Anyway, no need to keep this going as nothing here really changed my faulty perception. Don't even mention enlightenment to me because I don't know what that is so I have no reference point to say what is or isn't enlightened.

What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is.

That could happen, yes. But the experience of infinity is still a valid one regardless. That is the true taste of nonduality. Everything else is empty talk and self deception.

Here that revelation of nonduality occurred simultaneously with the recognition of the "self construct/ego", being completely unreal.

When there isn't a real observer, who would be attempting to validate or self deceive?

It's that damn illusion again lol

Some perceptions are distorted through projections of the mind. Those inheritly fall under the category of false perceptions. For example, people see what they want to see rather than what is true. A self serving perception of reality rather than the naked truth without any filters.

If you say so.

Stare at this photo until you get a shift in perception. A tiny demo of what's it's like to go from a small ego to infinite conciousness.

The man has a red shirt sitting down, the woman is bent over behind him kissing, hugging and laughing 🫸🏼🫷🏼

@Salvijus

Post more! It is easy to confuse a direct experience of No-Thing as True Self and delving deeper in What "I Am Is" with an intellectual understanding. It's the difference between telling someone to shut the fuck up and sit and look and go through the process of deriving it themselves then someone saying there's nothing to drive and you're already there because that could be a big trap.

It reminds me of that scene in the movie matrix, when Morpheus was showing neo The matrix and neo was distracted by the woman in the red dress. And Morpheus turned and looked at Neo and said "are you listening neo or are you looking at the woman in the red dress?"

Last night I had a dream that I was sitting and looking trying to see what I am for a very long time like an optical illusion, like the optical illusion dragon that Leo shared on his blog.

I'm out of gas, haha. Not particularly inspired to add anything at the moment. But thank you for the positive response. And yea, I could see from the beginning we have a similar understanding of the nuances and the traps of this topic. That's pretty cool. A breath of fresh air for me:)

All these dynamics that I've pointed out are traps that I still fall into which is why I phrased it and titled it in such an evocative way.
