Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

You could probably track something like Hawkins' Map of Consciousness onto proneness to disease with a very strong correlation. And you could peg various neurophysiological markers on each level (weighted with chronicity).


Intrinsic joy is revealed in the marriage of meaning and being.

Disagree. Food will get you down sooner or later. You absolutely should track what you eat.

You can eat in a way that you need 4 hours of sleep or you can eat in a way to get healthy and stay healthy. The food you eat has a lot of influence over your life. Like a lot. How angry you will be, how attentive you will be for example.

For stuff to make a big difference, you really have to eat well so that you don't fall asleep when you meditate. If you want to live a "normal" life and by that I mean suffering, then a lot of things are fine, until you become aware of worsening health. I think it's not normal. A lot of the food we eat has not existed 100-200 years ago. Meaning there are nuances of mixing components, preservatives which have unknown effects on our health with a lot of plastics exposure.

Now, food anxiety is another issue needing to be addressed.
