Thoughts on Ketamine Assisted Therapy

What are your thoughts and experiences with Ketamine Assisted Therapy? I found a few clinics in New York City.

 

There are two options. First option is to get just the 6 Intravenous infusions. Which is cheaper ($3k). Second option is to have integration sessions with a psychotherapist after the infusions. Which is more expensive of course.

 

i really want to try this therapy given that years of talk therapy, exposure therapy, and SSRIs have not worked well for my depression, anxiety, and childhood trauma.

 

The issue is that this is a very expensive treatment and I have to spend a good portion of my savings for this. On the other hand, I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety for quite a long time.

My gut feeling is mdma assisted therapy would be better for childhood trauma.

Unfortunately, there is no legal mdma assisted therapy available at the moment.

Yes, worth the investment. It’ll help open your mind to new perspectives. Don’t expect this to be a vacation or escape, though. It is arduous work.
