Notice resentment is simply a desire to get even. Someone does something to you and you want her to pay back. This can be in the form of suffering, asking you for forgiveness, favors, etcetera. Simply let go of the desire to get even.

You owe me nothing. Nothing at all.

Then you can live in Peace and without seeing others as means to an end.
