Why is mastery by george leonard said to be the greatest self improvement book

You can love a challenge right now. You don’t need to trap yourself with more limiting beliefs.

The noobs that usually can stick with it and stop being noobs are the ones that are in it for the love of the game.

You think brut discipline will get you there? Lol

No it’s the norm and also the smart attitude to have.

By all means don’t let me stop you from being negatively motivated.

its not the norm. very few does this . the research on how this happens is not knows

for example

99% of those who are into coding , hate coding

and there are lucky few like linus torvaldus who love coding

the research on this mechanism is not there yet. it is still in infant stage

george leonard wrote mastery when he was into akido for 20 years.  when a noobie enters a martial art , everything is painful.  advice like " love it" , " enjoy the training" are horseshit advice

Robert greene also has a book called mastery

Here I was talking about mastery by george leonard

I've read that one. Highly recommended. It lead to me starting to work on my dream video game project. He recommends examining your life and finding your flow and doubling down on activities that feel effortless to you. It's helped me so far. I read it when I was really depressed and not sure what to do with my life.
