  1. @Scholar You're thinking backwards. No ego ever wants other egos to suffer, because; Others suffering means the possibility of one's suffering, since it shows how weak the individual is. Others suffering decreases the ability of one's joy, because when others suffer, they tend to spread suffering, and vice-versa when they are happy. Joy multiplies through abundance. When everyone is happy, their energy radiates and grows outside. Happiness is contagious. All of that is known and obvious to the ego, and it's all embedded and programmed deep in our psyches. However, we're in a phase of getting to know ourselves as egos, and it's confusing for everyone. That's the only true reason behind all of humanity problems. Ta-da!
  2. @Scholar The ego is a genius design. It's good for all through good for the individual. Because individual is one, and one is all. The ego is always trying to get better and attain more, without it realising that it's doing a service for others as well and for reality in general. That's how reality creates actively. Creation happens through illusion, and Truth provides the energy.
  3. @Scholar That's just insane! Why would anyone want to kill others? Wars do not start because people just want to kill others, but actually quite the opposite. Wars usually happen because people want to protect themselves and their loved ones. Nobody wants to kill others unless they are threatening to them or to their loved ones. If we're all one team, who is the winning team? Anyway, assuming that the leader is crazy and wants to kill people. Do you think that conscious followers will still follow a psychopath?
  4. This is ironic because sometimes the desire to break free is the chains that hold us back from finding freedom.
  5. @AlphaAbundance If you're the thoughts, then how are you aware of them? You are looking to find the subject that is you. Are thoughts the subject or an object that is being noticed by the subject? Any answer you land on is an object observed by you. Who is this you?
  6. Talk about good politics! Haha! ? I agree. Consciousness is the solution ?
  7. @winterknight Thank you. No need for that, because I live in a third world country in the middle-east.
  8. Whoa! I don't think that deserves a banning decision.
  9. @Scholar It matters because we can't avoid politics. But we can become more and more conscious of our political views and values.
  10. @winterknight Thank you! I don't know of any psychoanalysts in my area. But I have my brother and we're very open about ourselves to each other. It's helping both of us. We're going out tonight for a walk. Anything that you can suggest to me to talk about with him from your experiences with psychoanalysis? Thanks in advance.
  11. @winterknight Is psychoanalysis the same as shadow work plus working it out with someone professional? If not, then could you please elaborate on the differences?
  12. @Anton_Pierre Good luck! I hope it will be of great help to you on your journey. Actually, since it happened, then it was definitely necessary.
  13. @Shaun If you study biology, you will see how reality functions. Things are always moving towards a better creation. Remember that from millions of sperms, only one was strong enough to face the obstacles on its way and come to life. Hard times make stronger people/better reality.
  14. I assure you that I am having my own experience you are not alone.
  15. @Shaun Perhaps the two are one Survival comes from making the world a better place and that's how you can live to entertain yourself and others if you like since others are you too.
  16. @Umar_uk Of course you know better than anyone else. You are the closest to yourself.
  17. @Shaun Don't worry. That's how it seems at first. But the road to heaven is full of hells. You are in a transitional phase, and the path is not over yet. You will find ways to rediscover joy, only this time it will be orders of magnitude better. Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
  18. Or, you could find a way to make it a paradise, a place where you can find peace and enjoy life
  19. @Umar_uk From your reply, I assume that you want me to continue the discussion. Leo can get triggered, of course. He's just a human being like the rest of us. I don't think Leo is a fraud, I think he's trying to make the world a better place. Obviously, that's just my opinion and you don't agree with me. That's fine though, that's how growth happens. If Leo is wise, then he will consider your perspective. I believe he will, and you will see some changes. He does not necessarily have to say it though. Nobody likes their self-image (ego) to be threatened, and nobody likes to admit they're wrong in front of others. That's okay, the ego has to survive to fulfill its purpose. Leo has to keep his image as a teacher too, so that should be considered as well. If he says that he's ignorant and deluded, then that will make him an untrustworthy source for information. Anyway, if I have the truth, why would I care about the "lies"?
  20. @Shaun Maybe it's time for making big changes in your life. Maybe it's time for a fresh start. Maybe it's time to leave the past behind. Examine the thoughts that initiate the unwanted feelings, take a closer look at them. You have all the answers.
  21. @Umar_uk Invalid criticism was when you criticised him for a good neutral advice. That shows how biased the criticism is. Again, I'm not saying Leo is perfect. I'm just saying he's a good person. I'm not sure, but it seems to me like you are so triggered by Leo's opinions of you. Notice that by doing that you're subtly giving him power over your life. So in a sense, you are subtly putting him on a pedestal. If I'd care for other people's opinions, then I'd be doomed. If I care so much about one person's opinion, then that means their opinions are important to me. The question is: why would they be? In my experience, if you want best results, consider other people's opinions interesting, not critical. I will respect your request and stop "preaching" to you unless you tell me to continue the discussion. I was just trying to help. I apologise.
  22. Well, obviously we can't live without desire. I mean sure we can have some moments of no desire, but it's not the case in 99.99% of the time, so it doesn't matter. I see that you are very wise. Try to be more practical with the wisdom you have.
  23. Be very careful here. You make unconditional love look very conditional. Interest in the absolute sense is unconditional. So, what you're saying here does not make sense. You can't avoid politics, but you can be aware/unaware of it. You are deeply involved in politics, and that is obvious from this thread that you have posted. You are creating arguments to support your claims by using language and you market them, what is all that but politics? The problem though is that you are conflating the relative with the absolute. You are subtly using stage Blue/Green politics and trying to push them and advance them against stage Yellow politics that is being advocated by Leo. You are simply a conservative, but you aren't aware of that.
  24. @Shaun Enjoy yourself during this phase. It won't last long. Get comfortable, eat something you love, drink something you love, say whatever you feel like saying, take care of your health, go out in nature, watch a movie, get out of the thinking mode and enter the 'experiencing' mode, stop taking the thoughts seriously, listen to the music you love, journal about how you feel and be very very very specific. Basically ask yourself: what do I really want to do right now? And then go do it, whatever it might be. (hint: no answer means meditation, aka doing nothing). It always seems hopeless until it's over, and it always ends. Cheer up you beautiful creature!
