  1. @Scholar No, that is not a strawman. I asked a specific example in a specific situation that could be considered from a broader perspective. The answer is that there is literally no negative impact of me owning a dreamcatcher to anyone. Its all made up concepts that have an imaginary impact on illusory egoic identities. I am not dismissing green values. I am simply looking at it from a yellow perspective.
  2. @Scholar Yes, group dynamics and historical discrimination makes it a complicated and nuanced subject. With that said, I am still more than my skin color nor do I identify with others simply because they have the same skin color. You make some good points to consider but so do I. I think the main point I wanted to express is that it is more complex and nuanced than people would like to admit.
  3. @Serotoninluv If I buy a Native American dreamcatcher and treat is as sacred, what exactly is my impact and to whom?
  4. @Conscious life When you transcend the mind, its still there. It just then becomes the servant rather than the master. Placebos and beliefs still tend to manifest themselves in reality.
  5. @Keyhole Those are unfortunate stories about groups of people that have nothing to do with me as an individual, what I like as an individual and what I participate in as an individual. I refuse to participate in other people's grouping of me in with others because of the color of my skin.
  6. @remember Thats a reasonable argument to consider. I think the item's "sacredness" to that culture is a consideration in this point.
  7. So, in other words, if my individual skin color is a particular color that others deem is the wrong color, I am limited in what I can like and participate in. An individual is judged according to what "group" he/she belongs to. Isnt that literally the exact definition of racism? Sounds to me like this is "acceptable" racism as opposed to "unacceptable" racism. There is no argument as to how I personally have oppressed anybody. Just like MLK, I believe that a person should be judged as an individual rather than the color of their skin.
  8. @CaptainBobbyOlsen Really? How exactly has these conspiracies affected you personally? How was today different for you in particular because of a conspiracy? None of that matters. You are wasting your time and energy on distractions. Your life is literally no different from them being either true or false. I had one person trying to convince me that the government was controlling peoples minds through fluoride in the water....as they were drinking tap water with fluoride in it lol
  9. @tenta I agree. It is this kind of nonsense that might get us a second term of Trump.
  10. @Moreira I totally agree. In my occult practice, I utilize other culture's sacred things and symbols but I treat them as sacred and with honor. Not only do I not see a problem with that, I embrace it.
  11. @Psychonaut I have used MDMA for awhile now for spiritual growth and it has been valuable for me. MDMA is to explore relationships so should be done with another person or people. I do it once a month with my significant other at home with music, candles, etc and we just sit and talk. It makes a long term relationship have the continuous closeness of when an awesome relationship is brand new. It is toxic but studies have shown there is no difference between someone who doesnt do it and someone who only does it once a month. Just limit your frequency.
  12. @Conscious life No, placebos prove that belief and attitude can have a massive influence. One can explore this way past just placebos.
  13. @Kidorikko Yoga and Tantra are both paths to enlightenment but they handle experiences and the physical realm different. According to Tantra, one can explore intensely beautiful experiences and thrive in the physical realm without being attached. Its not the "thing" that people many times become attached to that is the problem, its the attachment itself. Anything and everything is permissible as long as non-attachment is maintained. If you want to know more about Tantric philosophy, I would suggest a book - Desire: The Tantric Path to Awakening
  14. @capriciousduck If you are not sure, It might be best if you dont go there....at least at this time. People think that its all love and light but that is not the whole story. As Leo pointed out in his last video, one has to go through dark and difficult nihilism to reach the other side.
  15. @ivankiss Welcome to the new world If you want to learn more, John Kreiter has a book about out of body experiences. If you have a natural talent and want to start learning magick to manipulate your reality, I would suggest starting with Sorcerer's Secrets by Jason Miller.
  16. @Yonkon A cult leader will never encourage you to question or research on your own.
  17. @Bryanbrax John Kreiter has a good book called out of body experiences that breaks it down real well. if you want to learn to work with magick/energy, I would suggest Sorcerers secrets by Jason Miller. Sounds like you have some natural talents Dont let doubts caused by unsubstantiated religious dogma keep you from exploring your spirituality. If you are going to explore this and you are concerned about doing something "bad", just keep your vibration up. I dont think that anything that vibrates with love and beauty can truly be called "bad". If you are going to work with magick and spirits, just remember that spirits are just like people - some are nice, some not so nice and most are somewhere in between. Dont believe the dogma that if a spirit isnt an angel, it is "bad".
  18. @Bryanbrax The belief that there is something "wrong" or "bad" with witchcraft/sorcery/magic is just Christian dogma. In many non-Christian areas of the world, they see no problem with a lot of that. Dont believe something in an old book just because someone told you to believe it!
  19. @The Don Sounds like you are in the dark night stage. If you read Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha by Daniel Ingram, he explains it and how Buddhism teaches how to get out of it to the other side to equanimity. Its an important stage that has to be passed through on the way to enlightenment. Im pretty well versed in the subject so if you have any questions, Id be happy to help. I went through this stage a few years ago. https://alohadharma.com/the-map/the-dark-night/
  20. @Gnostic Christian Ive read the bible, front to back, no less than seven times when I was younger (only 10% of Christians have read it completely). I read most of CS Lewis' books - Mere Christianity three times, in an attempt to find some reason that Christianity/the bible should be believed at all. The best argument that I could find was CS Lewis' argument for objective morality. Then I realized that ANY religion could use the exact same argument and say it is proof of THEIR god. Then I finally realized there is no reason to believe objective morality exists, other than most of us wish it did. It eventually became clear that Christianity was just another religion, like Mormonism, Scientology, Islam, etc, etc and there was no reason to take it seriously. Im not going to believe something just because a book or another person claim it to be true so I left Christianity behind. One of the best things Ive ever done. A Christian will say that Christianity is "true" for the exact same reasons that a Mormon believes Mormonism is "true" - because they were told to believe that. I think chances are high that you had Christian parents and live in a predominately Christian area of the world....coincidence? I consider indoctrination of dogma to be very limiting.
  21. @Gnostic Christian My thinking is based on evidence. Here is an article discussing the evidence of ritual blood sacrifice to Yawah - https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/ancient-cultures/ancient-israel/ritual-sacrifice-in-ancient-israel/ I can present more evidence if you like.
  22. @Gnostic Christian Apparently, Abraham was willing to stab his son to death and burn his body in blood sacrifice. Question 1: If your neighbor told you that God told him to take his little son Timmy to a nearby hill, stab him and burn his body for God, would you praise him for being a holy man or would you call the cops? Question 2: Assuming you would call the cops, do you also think that Abraham was just as bad/crazy? Why do Christians praise Abraham but denounce people who kill their children because they say God told them to? I dont think they fully thought that through
  23. @Danioover9000 You are right. I should refrain from responding to religious dogma. I will try better!
  24. @Gnostic Christian Anyone that thinks they know the name of God or its attributes doesnt yet know God. There is only ONE, and that includes in it the "evil" and the "bad". There are many traditions that have a word/name that points to the ineffable ONE but they are just words.
  25. Do you reject Yawah as your God and the father of Jesus? God might have changed his mind, according to Christians, but he definitely wanted blood before realizing he no longer needed blood sacrifice. We can definitely find evidence of God saying he wanted blood, assuming one believes the bible to be completely true. Ironically, the Bible makes no mention of Satan wanting blood. BTW, nondualists typically dont believe in "sin". That is a Abramahic religion invention usually defined as doing something that another human claims makes god have negative emotions like anger, spite, rage, resentment, jealousy, etc. The person that claims they know what "sin" is gets that information from their own head or hearsay. Exodus 29:10-14 "Then you shall bring the bull before the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull. "You shall slaughter the bull before the LORD at the doorway of the tent of meeting. "You shall take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; and you shall pour out all the blood at the base of the altar. Hebrews 13:11-13 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate. So, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. Numbers 6:10-11 'Then on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the doorway of the tent of meeting. 'The priest shall offer one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, and make atonement for him concerning his sin because of the dead person. And that same day he shall consecrate his head, Numbers 6:14 'He shall present his offering to the LORD: one male lamb a year old without defect for a burnt offering and one ewe-lamb a year old without defect for a sin offering and one ram without defect for a peace offering, Numbers 15:27 'Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a one year old female goat for a sin offering. Numbers 28:15 'And one male goat for a sin offering to the LORD; it shall be offered with its drink offering in addition to the continual burnt offering. Numbers 28:30 also one male goat to make atonement for you. Numbers 29:5-6 'Offer one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you, besides the burnt offering of the new moon and its grain offering, and the continual burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offerings, according to their ordinance, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD. etc, etc, etc....
