Bro I live in freaking Texas and haven't listened a lick of anti-Western propaganda once in my life. You really think I'm sympathizing with child rapists and war criminals? Hey guess what... war criminals and rapists are RAMPANT in western democracies as well! George W. Bush isn't a freaking war criminal to you? Child rapist Matt Gaetz is still allowed to have a strong influence in America's strongest party. Get the freak outta here with that crap man. Unarmed black Men are shot every day in America, happened yesterday in Michigan. Women who were raped can no longer get an abortion on Texas and Oklahoma. Brown people are demonized as worse threats to the nation than climate change or a global pandemic. These are facts and you're acting like I've listened to a damn thing Russia has said.

I've hated Putin and Russia since this war began and all of the atrocities that have been committed to the Ukraine people. But, I'll admit that I've been reactionary. Atrocities are committed everywhere in all kinds of forms, even in the west. Putin and Russia are certainly no saints and are acting from a low consciousness agenda, but I have made an effort to understand them better.

I think western society is collapsing as populism rises thanks to social media. Strict censorship in what the masses share with each other is what's going to propel certain countries like China as the world leaders. The west doesn't have a clue, as they bicker amongst each other and crime, mental health issues increase and population decreases.

As a 90s song once goes, "Been around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding" Pretty accurate.

Right now, things are looking pretty bleak as we're on the cusp of irreversible catastrophic climate change caused by our own actions. We could be looking at a mass extinction event, mass immigration into places like Canada, Russia, Antarctica, and devastating destruction to our beautiful planet. I don't think humans will go extinct any time soon but I think we will regress as a civilization as the physical environment becomes harsher to prosper in. Pre-COVID, I was a little more optimistic with our collective ability to come together and end the acceleration of climate change. But COVID gave us just a tiny taste, a small trial run of an apocalyptic event, and I'd say it's proven our inability to work together rationally.

Think of how Hitler managed to persuade otherwise normal, rational people into committing one of the most horrific genocidal events in human history. Humans are easily misguided and misled when you appeal to their lizard brain fears, and those who know how to take advantage of that simple fact will continue to exploit it for the sake of grifting, profits, and power. It's easier than ever to brainwash the masses into some insane ideology with the reach of social media and biased "news" outlets. Really, these right wing conspiracy nuts are now part of the biggest cult ever assembled. And as history has proven countless times, cults are not fit for long term survival.

Majority of people don't care about spirituality. They just wanna eat and fuck until they die.

More deaths were caused by halting the J & J vaccine than caused by the vaccine itself. It's ridiculous

Sweet justice. Enjoy prison, murderous bastard.

Whataburger is where it's at. But that's the Texan in me showing.

America is well on its way to having multiple parties in government. You know, like nearly every other functional country on the planet?

Only way to beat trolls is to ignore them. Am I missing something or does this forum really not have an ignore feature? This forum experience would be way better for me if I could put the trolls on an ignore list.

Heart disease isn't contagious, nor is the flu as deadly as COVID, Jesus fucking Christ. It's amazing alt right idiots like this are even allowed here. I've debunked all of your Whataboutisms and now you're backed into the "Well I'm not dying, so I don't care!' You're as selfish and childish as they come.

Did you even click on the link? It also calls out Belarus as having a high excess mortality rate: "Among former republics of the Soviet Union, only Belarus suffered substantial excess mortality in the first wave, after introducing almost no constraints on daily life. The second wave affected almost every country in the region. Russia now has one of the world’s largest excess-mortality gaps. It recorded about 370,000 more deaths than expected between April and December, compared with an official covid-19 toll of only 56,000." You're proven wrong again and again. I could understand if this was March 2020 and you're saying this stuff, but we're well over a year into this and you're spouting stupid nonsense. Learn about the freaking virus already and how it spreads, FFS. Educate yourself, there's no excuse to be this ignorant. Sorry if I'm coming across as rude. I just have little patience for people who speak against the science at this point in the pandemic.

From the link above I posted: "Countries in northern Europe have generally experienced much lower mortality rates. Some Nordic nations have experienced almost no excess deaths at all. The exception is Sweden, which imposed some of the continent’s least restrictive social-distancing measures during the first wave."
-
Care to tell us what countries are doing fine with no resteictions? You do realize that there is an excess mortality gap in nearly, every country since the pandemic started, right? And you do realize that developing countries and crooked countries (Russia, North Korea) are heavily underreporting their cases, right? https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/coronavirus-excess-deaths-tracker Hell, at one point North Dakota was the per capita COVID hotspot of the world, and they didn't have any restrictions. And that's a sparsely populated chunk of land.

The "But the suicides!" was a major talking point against lockdowns and preventive measures, but that unsurprisingly turned out to be bunk. Suicides actually decreased in 2020. https://www.axios.com/suicide-decreased-in-2020-pandemmic-mental-health-26196eaf-a245-4d21-85eb-eeb864a24449.html

Overall, I see your point and I do mostly agree. We do have to be smarter about who/what to believe. The issue is that these days, people pollute this way of thinking and eschew all the way to the toxic extremes that we see with the mass conspiracy theories. Once upon of time it was actually fun to be a conspiracy theorist. Now with so many normies doing it, it's just tiring. Majority of people need guidance, because when you leave them to their own devices, they'll go down an even darker path than if they just listened to the experts. And there certainly are misguiding and toxic experts whom are easily latched onto.
-
This is naive and foolish. Experts are who should be listened to/considered most of all. Not the common, average joe who has no idea about any given field they're discussing in. One reason why humans have advanced society to the point it is now is through cooperation and letting the experts do their thing. You don't need to understand and be a professional at everything and at the same time teach others about how every possible thing functions so that our acquired knowledged can be passed on and evolved. We need specialized crafts in areas of science, historians, medicine, engineers etc. in order to function as a large, modern society. It's not ignorant to yield to and trust the experts. In fact, it's the smartest thing you can do. The experts are paid professionals and dedicate their lives to something specific. This allows you free time to do whatever else you want to do.

Following advice from medical experts and scientists is not cult like. In fact, doing the OPPOSITE (what you're doing) is most likely to lead to cult behavior. We don't need to be scientists to use cell phones and other technology. We don't know exactly how they're made or what all is involved. Likewise, we don't need to be scientists to get vaccines.

But let's be real. An out and proud, anti-Christian gay black man is what's really triggering these conservatives. https://twitter.com/LilNasX/status/1376245938226798594 I mean a freaking governor criticizing him, really? For what? Twerking on Satan in a music video? Why do Americans still see the devil as like... Some magical anti-God who can rival God's powers and overtake him if he gets enough followers? Why do we still have this magical thinking? Satan isn't some horned beast and God isn't some bearded sky man. All this to say that I enjoy an attack on the conservative's view on God taking center stage. More of this, please. Hypocritically, it's okay when metalheads glorify this foolish idea of the devil. But when it's a gay black rapper, nuh-uh, no sir. Attack on everything that is holy.
