(Video Version Below) What does it mean to be alive? Enough food, water, shelter, clothing and security to be have even the slightest consciousness? With that definition, someone could be well chained, worked to death and starved, and still be considered alive. But are those people living? Actually technically and figuratively they are not as the definition of living is pursuit and embodying activities of a lifestyle. Those poor Jews were alive but not living. Does the average person seek to be alive or seek to be living? Do you genuinely seek to be living or alive? What are you currently focusing the most attention on? Working to have a stable life, going the “safe” routes in life or perhaps you’re living on the edge and really enjoying life? Take a moment to realize your mindset is a glorified and easy version of someone in a concentration camp. Now you may think well this isn’t a bad thing that I want to survive is it? No, unless it is destroying your life into living out of fear and instead of joy. Think of it this way, would you rather have 50 years of hell fighting to survive or 20 years of pure absolute joy? What were you choosing all these years? Yes, your cozy mediocre work may not be starvation and slave labor but are you really maxing out your potential for life. How many lives do you live that you can be boiling in mediocrity instead of creating something you actually care about. Those in concentration camps literally can’t fully pursue their ambitions and dreams, what's your bullshit excuse? This is the 21st century, a time of massive opportunity and resources! Now your life's not gonna change overnight but you can start by doing little things you secretly wanted to but made up bullshit excuses not to do aka fear. Things such as ride a rollercoaster, take an art class, try out a club, read a book, go on a retreat, hitchhike 30 miles. These things will be the first dominos in chasing a life you want. Things that may seem hard but you know that besides your fears they’re actually quite easy to do. Essentially you must suffer a bit to live, or not suffer a bit and suffer forever in “safety”

Not a movie but Avatar the Last Airbender was very spiritual. -
@Xpansion I'm just saying you'd be suprise who you meet. The conscious don't tend to be outspoken about their consciousness. Even the unconscious have secret desires to be conscious. If you can tap into that, you can make a friend out of anyone.

The conscious blend in with the unconscious

Yes everytime I obsess about my insecurities of not making enough money or failing to meet my goals or not enough progress, I get discouraged and avoid work. However if I just enjoy things for what they are, I can do so much. Also a very strong mindset you can use is "How can I turn x into money?" x=anything and everything. Their is always a way. Spend some time learning to think of ways to innovate, invent and create methods, ideas never done. Example: Have extra plastic water bottles? Perhaps smelt them down and create a useful item. Anything can be innovated and made into money.

So one night while I was sleeping, My awareness expanded in the middle of my sleep. Then their was this void and slowly my ego started hurting. The void didn't have any color but I remember it as blackish. At least it felt blackish. Intuitively I knew this was too real to be a simple dream yet I also knew this wasn't the real world. I then realized I was able to zoom myself of the void but once I was out, I couldn't return. The next day I was talking to a friend and he said it sounded alot like a substance(I forget which) which was used as anesthesia on patients. Then another one of my friend mentioned ego loss when he was on anesthesia. Does anyone have more info on this?

@aurum Thats exactly what Im trying to say!

@Frogfucius Oh I thought you mean't internal work as inquiry on yourself. Yes meditation helps but socializing mainly comes from action. And frankly the action action mentality at least for socializing does work with people who have a weak foundation. This is speaking from direct experience. It will take ages to destroy that little demon, even the most adept extroverts have it in small doses once in awhile. If this was compared to learning how to ride a bike, you would tell the kid to stand there til he gets over his fear of riding a bike. That doesn't teach him how to ride a bike. Instead he should ride the bike, fuck up, and build confidence.
-
@Frogfucius I don't think you've been in this situation at all, you're going to lead him into more drama then nessecary(Which he'll have to deal with plenty of). Socializing doesn't really work like that. If you work on shyness internally, you're just adding fuel to the fire. It is not something you logic your way out. It is not something you think about or contemplate, it is something you do. The more you think , the more you build up anxiety. The problem from shyness is fear and inexperience is it not? Fear from what? Thinking fucking up socializing will harm your ego. The other half of the issue of shyness is no experience on the "How to" Both of these internal issues can (only) be solved by socializing.
-
If you really want to, throw yourself into the fire. Shyness is really one of the things humans should overcome, introvert or extrovert. It doesn't matter if you want to be a hermit or not. How to do it? Force yourself to socialize. You will fuck up countlessly. Now some tips: Let Go, Don't ever ponder if you did well, how you fucked up, how you will improve, how you are gonna approach them. Socializing is onhand experience not something you can logic your way out of. Most of all, enjoy people as they all have stories, feelings, a world of their own- NOT the idea of having friends, or ironically enjoying people(Enjoying the idea of enjoying people is not the same as enjoying people!) Have fun! Afterall what is life about?

@Santhiphap I found one of the key ways I got rid of much of my addiction was treating life like a videogame with its own rules and rewards. It will be slower in rewards and progress however the rewards will be much stronger. Few people choose to invest time into the ultimate videogame.

Alot of Enlightenment is hidden in Media. For example Avatar the Last Airbender. -
Everyone can be convinced if you know how to get to them. Insecurities are like a wound. Truth is like Alchohol on it. Apply as needed. Also sometimes its not what is true, or what you think is true, but what they believe is true or a very possibily true situation. Like for example, Start slowly talking about what they want to do with their life. Then assuming they have an insecurity of being a failure say something indirect like "I don't want to be another failure but I'm so addicted to videogames". Then go deeper and deeper into the subject slowly. Now I don't know your friends so twist the example to your needs.

(Video Version below if you prefer) Ok lets start with the difference between drugs and food. What is it? None, Zero. Think about it, What is a drug? Anything you consume that has chemical affects on you. Does food fit that category? Hell yes. Even what kinds of of food you eat affect your chemical balances. Mcdonalds= Shitty Motivation and decaying body. Fruits and Vegetables= Lively, energetic. Now what about Drug effects and Emotions? The same exact thing. Emotions are sourced from something right? It's food(drugs). They both even have triggers to activate certain effects. Other emotions, enviroment, diet, mindset etc. Trigger to activate Weed anxiety- Feeling threatened Trigger to activate Fear- Feeling threatened. Now how do humans make decisions? Emotions. Where do Emotions come from? Triggers. Where does the source of that come from? Drugs! Best of all, we produce our own drugs from well other drugs. So not only are we a Drug Taking Machine, but also a Drug Making Machine!

What is a drug? Anything consumed that affects the body- Weed- Edible and heavily affects the system. Poppys are edible as well. Poppys and Weed are natural food. Even natural foods may produce toxins- Potatoes can be very toxic under certain natural conditions. Hell some foods are more toxic then "drugs" themselves, infact they're a concoction of it. Mcdonalds, Soda, Slim Jims etc. They may not have a strong effect on your brain, but your body takes a toll. No scratch that, they do have an effect immediately, nasuea. Most drugs are not toxic. Don't you realize that your food natural or not are in fact drugs??? What is food? A bunch of chemicals or/and allow productions of chemicals. Yes there are dangerous drugs, but there is no need to make a distinction between Food and Drug as they are in fact the same thing. Food is just drugs consumed for energy needs or/and vitamin needs. Convention drugs are used for recreation, spritual searching, and healing. Food is just a general subcategory of Drugs. It really doesn't have a defined definition since some foods don't even have have energy- zero calorie soda, tapicoca pearls(Not technically edible I believe), preservatives, salt.(Yes they are food since we do eat/drink them do we not?). -
I love the clickbaity title as a Youtuber. Wow never thought I would one day consider making clickbaity titles an art.

Psychedelics are drugs? -
Their is a certain rush of creativity and daydreaming to the utter max. Vibrant Daydreaming and action taken without much effort. You can work through distractions and lack of sleep almost effortly.

One trap I recently fell in is controlling everything to "improve yourself." In this case, less control is more control. You create problems out of thin air. Like for example, I noticed that since I nitpicked what or what not to do on camera, I wasn't able to be in a more flow state. When I didn't nitpick, I did really well. So when you do fuckup, You want to take even more control of the situation+ feeling unconfident. It is a domino effect. Let the mind do its job, It doesn't need you, It never did. Then you despise situations that you fucked up on and avoid it making you even less confident and wanting to take more control.

Build a few universities based on becoming the absolute best person. A university that doesn't focus on memorization for tests but to teach people how to become the absolute best person they can and succeed in their field. Bring personal development to the average teen. Build a nice "Disney World" of Culture, Knowledge, Success, Personal Development Enlightenment

@Time Traveler Sometimes, sometimes not. Too be any leader requires alot of self governance. It is just taking control of any organization or struture. So in exercises, Take control of something, create something, maintain it, comannd it, learn from it.

@MarkusR I think thats a personal problem if you're living under Leo's views. He's just there as a guide, but you should take charge of your life. And no, at his level of thinking, even if I think his views are dumb, it would at the very least, open new thought tracks, and who knows, it may lead to next big thing.
