What if it's actually possible to agree on everything you've just said and still believe that models are useful? That is another key feature of Tier 2 thinking: it is very flexible and able to accept paradox. It's fine to disagree about whether there should be 2 or 4 different tiers, but you still have to know what the different tiers and stages are supposed to represent to understand the model anyway. The way you choose to model these things can also boil down to what is more aesthetically pleasing in a visual format (colours, tiers, stages etc.).

You've actually given a perfect description of how Yellow sees the limitations of models, but with an additional sprinkle of pessimism. Of course they're all extremely limited and made up, but they're also useful. You don't throw the map in the garbage just because it doesn't accurately represent the colour of the terrain.

which is what distinguishes it from Turquoise. It's still Tier 2 though. Yellow also recognizes the limits of language and models to some extent, but not in the way that Turquoise does. You only truly see the relativity of reality when you transcend your own mind.

HAHAHA what great timing hahahaha You don't want a smaller government; you want a better government. There is no such thing as an individual: your entire existence is a product of a huge interplay of complex systems within a collective that was created over 10000 years of societal evolution. Libertarianism is a stage orange over-reaction to stage blue tyranny. If libertarians followed their ideals to their logical conclusion, it would give stage red a free ticket to take of the world once again. You will always pick take stage blue safety over stage red violence any day of the week. Our current version of government protects you from the horrors of tribal warfare and medieval-style oppression, and it's the very basis of your "individual" rights in the first place. There is stage red oppression, and then there is stage orange oppression. Who will save the people who are given the short end of the stick in the socioeconomical game? That is what the government opens up for in stage green. It seeks to eliminate injustices that arise from structural flaws in capitalism and the human propensity towards greed. If there is no government that can keep in check the primal survival instincts of the individuals in the system, then there are truly no such thing as individual freedom. Your freedom is directly proportional to your oppurtunity to survive, and that is why the government exists. -

The answer to all your concerns is on the very bottom of the picture you posted: Where do you think racism, nationalism, fascism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia lands on the scale of low vs high consciousness, low vs high development, fear vs love, selfishness vs selflessness, dogma vs objectivity, ignorance vs education? -
Tier 2 doesn't react to previous stages with confusion, hatred, or fear, but with understanding, encouragement and love. Turquoise ventures into the "being" domain, but Yellow still resides in the intellectual domain, so of course it has to utilize models, philosophy and language. However, Yellow isn't attached or biased to one particular model, as they're recognized as relative constructs, not absolute truths. The downsides of Yellow is its ignorance of the depth of consciousness and love.

"Everything" isn't really a good description of the properties of reality. If you were to describe something that is all-powerful, all-knowing, infinitely intelligent and creative, eternal, infinite and One, what better description is there than the word "God"? It's because these traditions are limited and incomplete. It's not an "alternative" word. It's a superior word in terms of describing reality. If you wanted to describe the nature of time, you wouldn't call general relativity an "alternative" model to classical mechanics. It's a superior model. -

God. -

If God is the source of all creation, then what can he create that is not "of" himself? What is it that exists opposite to God that separates God from his creation? You're conflating classic monotheism with non-duality. God isn't a being that exists separately from his creation. He IS the creation. He is one, undivided being, expressing himself through infinite creativity and imagination. -

Who created the one before the next? It inevitably leads to an infinite regression, which is limitless. This "limitlessness" IS God. -

Limited things are imaginary confines within a limitless whole which is God. -

Be very careful in your investigation and try to see if have ever experienced a "non-experience". You're saying there is a discontinuity between going to sleep and waking up (which is true), but can you ever point to a true non-experience? Do you see the contradiction? You can only ever point to something within your own your experience, and therefore you can never point to a non-experience. Whatever you think you're pointing to that you believe is the non-experience of dreamless sleep, do you see how that is currently occuring within your own experience? -

Unless he is genuinely curious and you're not pestering him with it, the odds of him even listening to what you're going to say is zero to none. You can't really argue people out of a stage of development. -

To not trust your senses would be senseless, but you shouldn't trust your visual senses blindly... -

All my friends from high school smoke weed everyday and just play video games, and when I was asked to rank Jordan Peterson on a scale from 1 to 10, they all gasped out of shock when I gave him a 7, expecting me to give him a solid 10. They're basically all in the entry phases of green but mostly stuck on cleaning up their blue and orange, mostly as a result of being drug fiends and getting their life advice and political views from rationalist reaction youtubers. There is this one dude I haven't talked to in a couple of years that I suspect might be closing in on yellow or even turquoise if he is lucky. If not, then he is most likely still a greenish pseudo-philosopher drug addict (low resolution Terrence McKenna clone) like we both were last time we met. You can't really change them by arguing your point of view. They have to evolve on their own. It's up to you whether you think they're worth your time or if you should rather find someone else to be around that don't atleast drag you down.

Does hunger depend on the mindset? No matter the mindset, the activity you're doing is still what it is.

Look at what I said more carefully. I said becoming the "number one" champion. To become the number one champion in mixed martial arts, you have to defeat every opponent that crosses your path. That is analogous to stage red imperialism. The only example you mentioned that could come close to that is becoming the best athlete. You may notice that the bulk of the examples you mentioned can be explained by other motivations than becoming number one, things like purpose in the case of stage blue, and becoming the best version of yourself at stage orange etc. The theme that defines the Red "number one" is complete and unrelenting domination and submission of ALL opposition, not as a means but as an end. Not that it's impossible for people in higher stages to participate in these things, but the activity itself is still Red. Things like hunger is actually stage beige.
-
The whole idea about fighting to become the number one champion is Red at the bottom of it all.
-
If you've followed his character arc for the last couple of years, it's easy to see how his recent development is a result of ego backlash. Does psychedelics -> goes into green, embraces feminity -> regresses down to blue, represses his feminity.

Oh well, this topic derailed into a heavy metal appreciation thread. Who would've thought?

Yes of course. No, but seriously. He is a gangster rapper. Nobody cares about what he has to say. For those that do, nobody cares about them.
