  1. You can think about it all you want, but when shit goes down, shits for real.
  2. @roopepa But have you tried meditating?
  3. True spirituality will never be mainstream. Death doesn't sell.
  4. When I realized what you just realized and stopped pursuing enlightenment and stopped meditating, it became even stronger. When you say "to hell with it – this wasn't what I was looking for" to all of spirituality, that is when you completely let go, and that is when the truth starts to shine through by itself without any effort. The effort then becomes to actively try to hold on to yourself and reconstruct a sense of illusion, and that's what I've been doing for about 1.5 year now. I don't know if that is exactly how it is for you, but that's how it is for me at least, and in one way it sucks, but in another way it's very sweet. However, if you choose to hold on, it's going to be very painful and it may seem futile, but over time you'll get used to it.
  5. The end of that video blew my mind.
  6. Why is lack of self-talk a problem? I kinda like it.
  7. This topic is a ticking time bomb ?
  8. Hahahaha it's the "do-nothing" method. You can never do it properly, because it cannot be done ? This is serious advice btw. The do-nothing method is about accepting the fact that you're helplessly "doing" all the time and that that's totally fine. In any meditation technique, can you just accept that you're completely garbage at it and that it's completely OK? If you can get there, the job is done and the technique does itself.
  9. If your focus is outwards on other people or things and not inwards towards yourself and your own ideas, you will tend to focus on what already is and not what could be (essentially the N/S dichotomy in MBTI).
  10. Of course you will feel like shit if you go for 2 months and then suddenly fap 3-5 times in a short span of time. You need to find a golden middle way because this is obviously not healthy. I've been at both extremes of the spectrum, and I have no energy issues from fapping once every 2-3 days (that's the optimal frequency for me). I also feel way calmer mentally and much smoother physically than when I did 6 months nofap. Fapping isn't negative at all.
  11. Triquetra (Celtic Knot) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triquetra
  12. Once you see that meaning is something you construct, there is nothing that stops you from constructing the best meaning you can.
  13. It's a symptomatic solution, like giving anxiolytics to a patient having a panic attack. The symptom is a certain emotional state (sexual urges, panic attack), and the solution is the alleviation of that state (porn, medication). It's not an ideal solution (there are potential side effects and it doesn't fix the root causes), but it's still a valid preventative measure.
  14. Do physically healthy things and don't be afraid of your emotions.
  15. You need passion, and that's pretty much it.
  16. If you feel tired when meditating, it simply means you didn't sleep enough or that you're meditating on a full stomach. Get enough sleep and meditate 2-3hrs after a meal. You should also not meditate for longer periods at night as it will make you less tired.
  17. 1960s is not comparable to early 1800s though. Back in those days, things like Women's rights, environmentalism and anti-capitalism basically didn't exist. Again, romanticism misses that crucial social, meta-systematic and collectivist component which distinguishes Green from Orange, which is why I did the analysis on the level of facets.
  18. Sure. It's natural for the higher stages to include aspects of the lower stages, but Green additionally has some more refined aspects like sensitivity, compassion, social awareness, which all ties into collectivism. What are hippies protesting against and on what grounds? Is protesting really care-free?
