  1. This rings very true for me. There really is a quality in your teachings that I haven't encountered anywhere. So in the spirit of healthy discussion to me it seems like you are imposing your goal on everybody else and then judging them as lacking. I mean the 4 Quadrants for instance are a model for how to navigate the world so of course they aren't reality itself. So in my opinion the measure is how well can you navigate the world with that model. As far as I am aware you never claimed that God Realization will show you how to navigate this world at all.
  2. I'm doing keto so basically all my protein is coming from animal products.
  3. @Michael569 Thanks for the advice, I think I'll just go with protein from food because the cost is simply to high for the brands you suggested and I've been looking for weeks for just unsweetened whey protein powder with those additional concerns you mentioned I don"t think it's worth it.
  4. @Michael569 What's wrong with myprotein? and what do you recommend instead?
  5. I'm glad I followed you, thanks for this post!
  6. What is the alternative though? At this point it is pretty clear that a huge chunk of conservatives don't share any values with the mainstream. Even the most basic values like maybe not establishing a theocracy seems to be an absurd notion to some conservatives. If somebody truly and honestly wishes to have a government that is built on fundamentalist christianity, don"t they have a right to live that if enough people agree?
  7. As the child of immigrants who is very pro government spending for social security, this provided a more systemic look than I had previously. The TLDW: 1. Giving people money when they have children disproportionally targets immigrants to such a degree that they don't have to work, thus they don't need to interact with the wider culture. 2. Housing subsidies for larger families groups immigrant families together. These two factors result in ghettos and gang violence.
  8. Sounds fun! How exactly do you want the app to notice that the meditator is falling asleep? I think that will be the trickiest part apart from that you should be able to find tutorials that you can almost copy and paste.
  9. Nitpicking some minor points and ignoring the whole is a big one for me. Needing to be right and needing others to know that you are right. But I think that falls under debating.
  10. That is why I'm kinda struggling with this one. Because mixed in are some things that are kinda sus. I mean the claims about satanistic cult that sacrifices babies and shit. Or her claiming that some stranger picked her up from school without the teachers asking any questions.
  11. Intellectually I get that and I agree but I'm just being honest where I'm at right now.
  12. I once only ate bananas for two weeks and felt great. I had more energy than normal and was also in a better mood. Although I heard that eating only fruits can be dangerous but don't quote me on that.
  13. @OeaohooAlright thanks my man! @Razard86 I just want to be extra careful because the whole reason I'm doing this to eliminate suffering and not create more. @Nilsi I already have that book but as far as I am aware it deals mostly with the process of getting Kundalini to rise and not how to make sure that things don't go sideways.
  14. Yea, I'm probably not going to force that. I don't really want to destabilize, I'd prefer a much smoother and gradual advance. But how is that possible? I didn't have a Kundalini awakening yet. Funny you would say that I play the piano as a hobby and found itas grounding as meditation.
  15. @Oeaohoo Thanks for the honest and straight forward answer, I expected as much. The reason I asked in the first place was because through meditation I am now experiencing a build up of energy in my head, which becomes much more relaxed when I guide it from the top of my scull down my spine. I also experience a warm sensation along my spine when I meditate and thought I could use that for further growth.
  16. @Oeaohoo How much preparation would you recommend for someone who is interested in kundalini yoga?
  17. I recently finished the first level of Holosync and currently writing a detailed journal about my experience. If there are things that are missing and/or unclear please post them here. I would like to keep the journal itself only for the journal itself.
  18. Please do not post in this thread. If you have questions or feedback please post it in this thread : Awakening Prologue I started my Holosync journey in February 2022, and before I started, I was searching all across the internet for detailed experiences and reviews of Holosync. This kinda surprised me because there were plenty of people VERY hyped about Holosync. So I want to change that and document all the things that happen to me. But before we get into Holosync itself, I think it's pretty important for you to know from where I started. I started meditating around 2016 with Shinzen Young's system, which I found through Leo. However, my main issue in life is doing anything consistently, so I would meditate regularly for about 3-5 months and then quit. This essentially made all growth really slow and frustrating. Through the years, I increased my meditation time from 10 minutes to 1 hour, and now I'm in Stage 4 in Culadasa's TMI system. Okay, so now let's move on to what Holosync is and why I would recommend Holosync specifically over the stuff you get from youtube. ( I'm not being paid to say any of this, I swear ) When we sit down to meditate, our brain produces certain brainwaves due to specific mental operations. The better we are at these mental operations, the deeper we go. The bad news is that it takes a lot of effort to get our minds consistently into a state of deep meditation. What Holosync does differently is that it tricks the brain into that state by playing specific sounds there is no effort required apart from consistently sitting down and playing the sounds. There are 13 levels in total, each training your brain to go deeper into meditation. There are three reasons why I would recommend Holosync: 1. You may or may not find stuff that is just as good on youtube, but the drawbacks are that you spend a lot of time finding ones that work. 2. Holosync isn't cheap ( yes, I see that as a plus), which means you will be even more motivated to use it. 3. The Holosync support material, like the book, is incredible. So does Holosync work, and if yes, how? Yup, it works amazingly. Here is a rough timeline of what happened when. Within the first 3 days, I noticed that I was way less irritated. Within a couple of weeks, I noticed that although I wasn't consistent with my other manual meditation practice, I was still making solid progress. I was calmer, happier, and more relaxed for the next 2 and a half months when shit hit the fan in the 3rd month. I had mood swings like I never did before. I was crying one hour and then was blissful the next. I would become teary-eyed at random things I found beautiful or motivating. What I want to specifically highlight is that I was finally able to cry. I never cry (I have cried like 3 times in the past 10 years) because I was raised not to, this led to an enormous amount of emotional repression. In the last month, everything smoothed out although I was still kinda emotional, I still became teary-eyed frequently if I saw beautiful things. The things I got out of Awakening Prologue are: -less worry and more motivation to be creative -more access to my emotions -more awareness and calm -better manual meditation
  19. You can get the book titled "How to read a book" by Mortimer J. Adler. Basically, our education in how to read ended in middle school. This book gives you tools and methods to understand complicated books.
  20. Although I can't relate to your experience directly because Leo's content came at the exact right time for me ( I jumped in at the Mindfulness era because I wanted to learn how to meditate), I have also always wondered whether disclaimers are useful at all because the exact people who need them are the most likely to ignore them. Additionally, I often felt like Leo would frame certain topics in the most blunt and psychologically rattling way possible. But now I've kinda realized that Leo is kinda in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation because he can't individually address each of our own personal issues in a video. I mean his vids are already 2-3 hours long. So no matter what he says there will always be a group who will misunderstand his teachings or fall into depression and isolation. The question is not if it happens but how to limit the number.
  21. I think that is just a matter of perspective. The nature of this forum and the way Leo interacts on here can make it seem like Leo sees himself as 'one of the guys' but it makes sense if you see that Leo considers himself a teacher and people on here his students. From that point of view the way he communicates is not that different from how for instance peter communicates.
  22. I've seen bits and pieces where Leo responds to rejection of psychedelics from spiritual teachers but is there a video where he addresses that in detail?
  23. I just stumbled across Holosync and wanted to try it out, but I'm not sure how compatible it is with my current meditation practice. Can somebody who has experience with it explain what you do during Holosync sessions apart from listening to the sound? Can I do it while I also try to focus on my breath?
