I don't think you understand how grave of a situation our country is in.

Trump and MAGA of course wants to end all of the mainstream media and punish any journalist or any government official who speaks out against him. How much of free speech and freedom of the press can he destroy even despite what the 1st amendment of the Constitution says and the fact that the vast majority of Americans still believe in free speech and freedom of the press?

I am worried not just out of care for non-white people in my country. It's because if something truly barbaric were to happen, then that could set a terrible precedent for enacting other kinds of rules that could threaten Jewish people like me.

How many of you feel like the end is nigh? I now feel like I am going to be arrested and imprisoned by the gestapo in Nazi Regime or thrown into the Gulag in Russia just because the fascists in power now can.

So, you think that what I am saying is nonsense?

If this clownery only lasts for 4 years. but what if he never really leaves office and MAGA rules our country for the rest of our lives because of their terrifying newfound power? How will I be able to even work on my life purpose if I get arrested and thrown into prison by the police under Trump's authority for no good reason?

Why? Just because you take at them at their word or believe what Trump’s vision for the country will be at face value? For all we know, the true depth of project 2025 could be even darker and more devastating than even what the Heritage Foundation is even letting on.

How can I not be miserable when at least a third of the country, even including people like me, could eventually be persecuted beyond what we can even begin to imagine by the tyranny of Trump, MAGA, and corporate-fascism just because they can? I am now so paranoid that I really think that I may need to buy a lethal weapon and armor to protect myself.

I ge that, but aren’t the effects of Trumpism going last until we’ve all passed away? I don’t want to die as a miserable old man having lived through an apocalyptic era.

So, why should we be hopeful about anything now, considering that we are now all doomed to misery for probably the rest of our lives?

Well, I honestly feel like reality has been slipping away from me since last week. I am having a lot of trouble understanding what could or could not happen. Not to mention that there's now nothing positive to look forward to anymore.

Well, Leo, Aurum, and others on here have been constantly ringing the alarm about all this and I have a really bad feeling about all of this. I hope I really am overreacting.

Well, I actually don't see how they would be successful with carrying out mass deportations. Experts on this matter say that the government won't even have enough manpower and resources to carry that out. Plus, it would cause a serious economic recession by severely crippling the entire country's workforce. If they end no-fault divorce, enact a complete federal ban on abortions without exception, ban contraceptives, end marriage equality, condemn single mothers while promoting only "traditional families" then will that cause a massive uprising amongst young people, women, and the LGBTQ+ community in this country? I am also very worried about all of the other things on that radical right-wing wish list.

Well, of course we should all expect a serious spike in racial and xenophobic crimes throughout the country. I also pray that we have mass protests and riots all over the country under Trump's watch again. So, if you think that what I am saying is very unlikely to happen, then if more than 50% of Americans no longer give a damn about democracy anymore what else besides no more free and fair elections could happen?

Wait, are you guys saying that most Americans no longer care about democracy, freedoms, or rights anymore?! The majority of Americans actually now want a dictator to rule the country like Hitler, Putin, or Viktor Orban?!

Has there been any point in World History where the mass broke free from the kind of propaganda machine that deceives people?

Then, why can't some charisma leader like Obama lead an extremely powerful movement to fight like hell for our country's democracy?! What exactly does that take to make that happen like with the American Revolution or the Abolition movement or the Civil Rights movement?

What if Trump, MAGA, and all of their right-wing billionaire friends find a way or ways to steal my money?

Leo was absolutely spot-on when he said in his blog that the internet brain-rot political ideology would likely kill the Democratic Party as we know it along with many other related factors: Had it not been for those factors, then Harris/Walz and the Democratic party would've won. If this problem doesn't get solved before it's too late, then the Democratic party and progressives are never going to win back control of the White House or Congress.

God damn it! Who told you that we are right now in a recession and that we are going to enter into a depression very soon? Whoever told you that either doesn't know what the fuck they are talking about or has been deceiving you such as Joe Rogan, Alex Jones, Fox News, or Elon Musk's extreme brain-rotting X platform. Come back to us next year, 2 years, 3 years, or 4 years from now if or when we really end up in a recession or real widespread economic crisis of some kind.
