  1. Hi guys! I didn't pay it much attention in the past, but now it's something very dominant in my life. The time I experience the most powerful emotions is when I watch/experience/think about these fictional worlds. Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Disney and Pixar movies, dozens of books and videogame campaigns. Those amazing adventures, full of emotion and life. Sacrificing your life for a higher purpose, doing good for others... Very beautiful things, but, at the same time, very sad. Thoughts like "I wish I lived in those special worlds", "I wish I did something meaningful", "I wish I was surrounded py people like those from these worlds". It's enough for me to listen to a LOTR soundtrack and I get very emotional and, at the same time, feel a huge void inside me. So the experience is kind of "negative" for me. It's like nothing I do in my "everyday life" even compares to those strong emotional impulses. Could you please guys share your points of view on this? I would really appreciate a view from a side on this one. Thanks!
  2. @Viking Yep. There's a possibility that there is a table. There is an infinite number of possibilities. And they are all valid. And yes, you can't prove there is no table. How can you prove the non-existence of something? To prove that something doesn't exist implies the existence of that thing in the first place.
  3. @Moreira Enlightened ones realise that what people call "desires" are false desires. Your true desires are all you currently are and have. If you have cancer - it's your wish right now to have cancer, if you are fat and ugly - it's your wish to be so, if you wish a lot of money and success - it's your wish to wish a lot of money and success. Then he put his hand on their eyes, saying, As your faith is, let it be done to you. Matthew 9:29
  4. I've been reading some Osho recently and he says: "Not a single buddha has remained in the forest. If he stays in the forest then buddhahood has not yet happened - because the moment bliss happens, simultaneously the longing to share it happens." Comparing this idea with the saying "Happiness only real when shared", it makes sense to me. I hope it does to you too!
  5. @Leo Gura Leo, thank you very much for everything you've done ! I wish you a lot of well-being and love in your life! For the last two or three weeks a thought couldn't escape my mind. I've stumbled across a teacher with a very broad perspective on life. I remember how you like it when "everything comes together", "the big picture thing", "the pieces come together", "lots of perspectives" and I'm getting the same feeling when I read his work. So, for the last weeks I've been thinking "I've got to write Leo about this, he's got to know". I think mentioning this guy is the best thank you I could ever give you. His name is Валерий Синельников (Valeri Sinelnikov) and the book I would suggest you to read is named "Возлюби болезнь свою" (Love your disease) [it's an introduction to his work]. I hope you remember how to read in russian, as I strongly suggest to read the original, not the translation. I'm sure you're going to enjoy the shit out of it and will crave, like a little bitch, for more. I love you, Leo!
  6. @Soulbass Beautiful example, thank you! The power of our consciousness is purely amazing. It really feels like we were gods once, but something happened and we forgot our true nature, foolishly dove in the "ego swamp". Or is it the other way around? Are we just children who're learning their path of becoming a god? Or is it happening in the both ways simultaneously? (#mindfuck)
  7. @faith First of all, remind yourself that it's totally normal. Because - hey, it's happening! All the fears come from the victim position. Remember that you are the Master of your life. And now, when you have doubts/fears - you've just forgot it. It's perfectly alright! Just remind yourself that you've created the situation you're in. And try to ask yourself: How have I created this situation? Why do I need this situation? What does this situation try to teach me? All the answers are there, trust me. After you've found your answers, thank your mind. It's just trying to help you. If you haven't found your answers, thank it anyways - it's alright, just try again, you will succeed. Nothing is hidden from you. You've just forgot how to take ownership of your life. Peace!
  8. It doesn't matter. There's really no need to create expectations of "what it has to be like?". It has to be exactly the way it is. But certain doubts have you, padawan. Advice seek you. (sorry couldn't help ) I think that your questions arise from a place of not being sure of something related to meditation. Try to ask yourself the following questions: a) Why do I need to know how is the experience of the meditative state? b) Where are my doubts coming from? c) Why do I need those doubts? What are they trying to tell me ? d) How have I created this question? All the answers are inside you. You're far more intelligent than you think! Peace!
  9. There's no person there anymore after enlightenment. And... SPOILER!... there never was. (if you know what I mean ) Thoughts like "Is he still enlightened after a motor bike accident?" and "Can brain damage make a person unenlightened?" come from a place of not understanding of what the concept of enlightenment points to. There's no "he" and "person". Those are labels you create/were taught. It's time to realize there's something more than labels to life.
  10. @Empty It's not a bad thing that you're moralizing. It's just that your unconscious mind thinks that moralizing is the best behaviour for you for now. It just doesn't know better. Can you see that there's no point fighting yourself here? Begin to have discussions with your unconscious mind. Start asking yourself these three questions: 1. YOUR NAME/GOD/LIFE/UNIVERSE, how have I created my moralizing? 2. YOUR NAME/GOD/LIFE/UNIVERSE, why do I need my moralizing? 3. YOUR NAME/GOD/LIFE/UNIVERSE, what can I do instead of moralizing? You see, by just TRYING HARD TO STOP moralizing, you're not giving yourself an alternative behaviour. You create an unnecessary conflict with yourself. What is really happening is just a misunderstanding between you and your unconscious mind. It's not your enemy, it's your biggest friend. Bring unity. In fact, there's no such thing as "you" and "your unconscious mind". It's all one thing. We fragment "you" with a purpose of bringing understanding. Which is nothing wrong with, until you are unconscious of it.
  11. Only if you think so. The idea is - you created, either consciously or unconsciously, suffering for yourself. There's no intrinsic suffering in Life. Life is a dance. Life is a song. Human beings were given this beautiful gift by the Universe - the mind. But, as Sadhguru so on point says it, have we read the user's manual? Peace!
  12. You reminded me of something I've read from Osho. He claimed that most of the people who become enlightened before they're 35 leave their body. He justifies that as follows: before the age of 35 your bike goes uphill, after the age of 35 - downhill. If you stop pedalling before you're 35, you're bike is not going to go by itself much longer. If you stop pedalling after you're 35, your bike, by inertion, will continue pedalling a lot of time ahead. He says that, in most of the cases, the body of a human being who is younger than 35 cannot handle the magnitude of such an event as enlightenment. P.S. I guess Leo has to postpone his enlightenment for at least 3 years, if he doesn't want to die. Oh, wait...
  13. @Leo Gura That's exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you. "I haven't given enough" This resonates with me really deep. Let's start my "giving" adventure!
  14. @LaucherJunge I don't know.. I think it's because life doesn't generally make me happy. I'd say I'm in some form of a mild depression. I think practicing gratitude and love would help in my situation. Maybe those powerful emotions are telling me that it's possible to feel this beauty in my everyday life. Maybe they show me my potential.
  15. @Shin I mean, I don't have craving to watch a movie/play a video game. Not at all. Actually, I haven't played video games for a couple of years now. And movies, maybe I would watch one or two per week. Actually, sometimes it can be quite emotioanlly painful for me to watch a movie I love, think of a videogame ending, because I know that after that, for a couple of hours/days I'll feel empty. What bothers me is this strong emotional impulse. Why do I have the strongest emotions namely in this scenario? Or, maybe you're right and it's my ego defending right now. Idk..
  16. @Shin Yes, I know they can't. And I don't think I do expect them to fulfill me. I think it's more the case that I expect reality to be as one of those worlds and it's not. @blazed Probably I wouldn't. But definitely a part of me wishes I could. Also... maybe reality doesn't have to be the way it is? I don't know... I just think this void and those emotions are trying to tell me something about me. I just don't know how to interpret it.
  17. @Leo Gura Leo, have you ever wondered, how come the ego came into existence? I mean, not in me, you, but at all? All the way back through human history? Were you ever interested in this question and/or has it resolved for you? It might sound really weird, but I mean, maybe our world wasn't always about "kill to eat". Sometimes I think of "ego" as of something bigger than we usually speak of. All the time I see suffering and "death" in the world (not just human), it's like my mind tells me it's all somehow related. Like something in the past has happened and, like a contagious disease, spread throughout the world. P.S. I'm aware it's all happening just in my mindville. I was just interested in your opinion. Peace!
  18. @Cameron Good job, man! I love your attitude! Peace and love!
  19. @Joseph Maynor @Will Bigger Thanks guys for advice, I really appreciate that! But I didn't speak of those things as being part of Reality. I'm well aware that it's mind stuff. All I'm saying is that this model is making much more sense than the scientific/materialistic one. It explains the reality/map/mindworld much more better, making it much more practical and OPEN. I'm conscious about the fact that this model is just a tool and I'm doing all my best not to become this tool. I hope you understand what I'm talking about. Thanks again to everyone for your feedback!
  20. What if there's not such thing as "imagination"? (in the classic sense of the word). I mean, in a situation when you're asked: "Man... imagine how that guy is feeling right now..." you, through "compassion", can feel the other person. But what if you're not "imagining" it, but you are feeling it. You are that guy in that moment and living "his reality". It might be some usual perspective for some of you guys, because it makes perfect sense if you are everything, as Leo says in lots of his videos. But watching the last 2 of Leo's videos made me go further. "Imagine" you being stabbed with a knife in the guts 5 times. And what if it's not "just in your brain"? What if you're just tapping in some other universe? (which there are infinite number of) The more your "imagination" is developed, the more your images will "feel" real. So let's suppose it's not the imagination, "making stuff up" that you're developing. Let's suppose what you're doing is dissolving the barrier of being able to connect to the other universes. Just think about it! Why you are able to imagine ANYTHING ? Maybe because ANY universe exists? (a.k.a. there is an infinite amount of universes, each and one of them strangelooping one into the other). But then the question arises: "Why does it feel (for most of us) that "our universe" is the most "real"? I mean, why this barrier between "our" and the other universes exists? What I'm really asking is that "How come the ego was created?". And this always makes me think about the bible. It's like "a sin" occured, and the ego plague started spreading across us. "The devil" started possessing us. Actually, I'm currently developing a "radical" model of the world (it really might sound crazy for some of you guys), but it makes SO MUCH SENSE for me, and my intuition is, like, boiling when I run this model through my mind. I'm going to share it with you guys, in lots of detail, later, when I fit the pieces better, but let me give you, at least, a couple of claims to consider: "All the diseases come from your mind" (You literally create cancer for yourself) "Coincidences and accidents exist only because you believe they exist" (A plane crash is not just a mere coincidence) "A disease is actually a good thing: it's a sign that tells you that you have to change something in your life and you can teach yourself to interpret any of those" (I would really recommend you to read Valeriy Sinelnikov's book "Love Your Disease" if you're interested in this particular point) "Lies exist only because you believe they do" (There's no text that contains "False Information") "Anything that happens in your life, even getting into an "accident", is programmed in your unconscious " (You get into a car accident because you created this situation in your life, not just "by accident") "You have problems because you want to have them" (You're not happy because you don't want to be so) "Incurable diseases exist, (as you might expect) only because you believe they (Cancer is easily curable) "Palmistry is a valid tool to "read your life" "Paranormal phenomena exist" (There are actually people who can walk on water, levitate and travel in time) "At some point in time, our ancestors didn't need to eat to sustain life" Thanks for your attention! I hope you found it interesting and I would really love to hear your opinions about all this stuff!
  21. @ADD Yes! That's exactly what I mean! "The unconscious mind"! By putting "you" into the sentence, I mean that you CAN change the program written in your unconscious mind! I'm not saying you are to BLAME. I'm saying you are RESPONSIBLE. Those are 2 totally different things. TOTALLY. Blame/shame includes a negative feeling/energy. Responsibility is just neutral realization. By blaming you enhance the autodestructive process, by responsibility you take take control of your life!
  22. @Leo Gura Yep, I agree! I just didn't mention it, but I'm aware (or, at least I'm trying to be ) that it's just a paradigm. I just get a much more deeper understanding of the "world". It feels like satisfying my intellectual hunger . Pieces start to come together. @Richard Alpert Of course you can! That's exactly how it happens . But you've misunderstood me. You think there's a "you" who goes to fuck someone and getting an STD. You think that it's plain simple: You fuck someone infected and you get the infection. But why it has so happened that you've gotten into this situation? Why you didn't wear a condom? Because you're dumb/by accident/you forgot? And why that has happened? You see, you think A causes B, unconsciously assuming that there's nothing before A. Go deeper. And why it is YOU that is hanging out with somebody with super bad fly, but not somebody else? "Well, just because it is"... Don't you see the problem here? Your emotions don't allow you to think clearly. Kids form a lot of their "you" from their surroundings (in most of the cases, from their parents). You're unconsciously materialistic. You ASSUME that if stuff is out of your perception - it doesn't exist. And if I tell you that parents, with their negative energy, cause children's ilnesses you won't even open your mind to that possibility. And if you ask me "How then genetic diseases happen?" you'll unconsciously assume that sperm doesn't carry negative energy, because you assume, again, that it's IMPOSSIBLE for it to exist. That's the problem with rationalism. People tell themselves that "I ONLY believe something when there's sufficient evidence for it", not being conscious of the fact that by living this paradigm, everything else outside of evidence is impossible and the nature of evidence itself is created by that same paradigm. Most people have got it ass backwards. They think "I believe X because it's true", not realizing its "X is true because I believe it". Just drop all your beliefs and you'll get amazed how much your mind will open. And again, I'm not saying "DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING". I'm just saying "Be conscious of your beliefs/assumptions". Don't be their slave. Let them work for you. I like the way Sadhguru phrases it: "Don’t give too many names for your problems. Your problem is just this - your body and your mind are not taking instructions from you, that's all."
  23. @Mahmoud Bishr Kebbeh nothing in life is not about non-duality stuff . Peace!
