  1. We are everything. Not only unconditional love. There are many facets. Someone define unconditional love for me please
  2. @PsiloPutty perhaps the enlightened monk just really prefers the monastic lifestyle, and chooses to stay for that reason. He may have to hide the truth from fellow monks, but he's fluent enough in Christian speak to get by. ? He may also try to show them some nuggets of truth as well. And of course true, original Christianity is nothing like catholic Christianity, so once he finds truth he probably is able to study his bible and appreciate the allegories of truth in it instead of seeing the dogma. He sticks with the religion because he has found a whole new respect for it even after all these years.
  3. I would assume that the reading of books would not be to find truth in the words, but to open your mind and understanding to find truth for yourself. It's possible that just participating in the forums is a good alternative to reading the books, although you have to have a really open mind and only let things you learn on here open your mind and don't take everything to heart.
  4. Explore that. Do you do dream journaling or any kind of lucid dreaming practice?
  5. @FeathersandPennies I like that idea of a spiral, perhaps one that started with a single dot (if you will) and has been expanding infinitely outwards with each new perspective. Until you realize it's not a dot, because upon closer inspection you see it goes infinitely inward as well. @pluto Sorry phone bug
  6. @pluto I agree, the ego should not be controlled but i suspect that a large portion of those in self development are attempting that. Im guilty of it myself. I suspect this happens when we are children, as we become "self aware". Could possibly be what is referred to as the age of accountability in Christian doctrine.
  7. @pluto @starsofclay Lol ok, so yes and yes. My point is, we are all trying to escape or control our "individual" egos, when in fact it's all one big ego. That one Ego is literally all there is. It is Truth, just as much as it is Truth that it doesn't even exist.
  8. @starsofclay@pluto also, would you say that the ALL THAT IS is the other's ego? In other words, WE are The ego?
  9. @Arkandeus@ Sounds like what I do in a lucid dream. Everything seems so surreal.
  10. @Heaven there isn't much about enlightenment but lots of great stuff about spirituality and aliens. Here's some of the programs they offer, and also have lots of documentaries

  12. I agree. At least it makes it more fun ?
  13. I have been listening to beethoven's symphonies nonstop lately. Always calms me down and soothes anxiety. It is amazing to listen to while meditating, just let the music wash over you and learn to listen. Will quiet the mind very fast. Or use it as a prelude to meditation.
  14. By believing in it. Otherwise, realizing it is yet another hallucination keeps it away.
  15. You are in hell today. What you should be asking is how to get out.
  16. @Ali123 I'd say you are purging. Like @Dodosaid, you heart is probably opening and you are purging. It could be latent desires, or the need to experience these things before you let them go for good. Best way to know is to do some journaling and ask yourself. The meditation increases your awareness and focus on this reality, which will carry over into dreaming. It may come and go as you get better and stronger. Eventually you can gain enough dream awareness to realize you are in fact dreaming, and have increased spontaneous lucid dreams.
  17. Meditation teaches you to redirect your focus on to something (or nothing), every time you slip off the goal. This can be used in every aspect of life, as zoey101 said: This is exactly what meditation can help with. And every time you slip off goal, you should gently redirect your attention back to waking up with the right attitude and keeping it throughout the day. Although i personally set my intention for the next day before I go to sleep, and demand a nice, restorative sleep as well. Also, judging (hopefully not incorrectly) by your previous posts lately, I sense a chemical imbalance that is preventing you from feeling joy and happiness. Meditation and the method I mentioned above will help to correct that imbalance, but sometimes we do need an extra push. If you aren't interested in anti depressants, you should look into harmalas alkaloids. Google "caapi only brew for depression." this is a tea that is made from caapi, which is the non-dmt component of ayahuasca. It is a maoi, which of course is a type of antidepressant, but it's a natural, reversible maoi which is much much safer than the synthesized stuff that doctors give you. The goal is to either microdose it throughout the week, or one large dose on the weekends. Large doses have been reported to be psychoactive, but that really isn't the goal. You can also use syrian rue, but the ratios of harmalas in caapi is supposedly better to treat depression. If anyone wants tips on brewing the caapi only tea, let me know. There's alot of conflicting recipes online but I have been working with it for a few weeks now. *please note you CANNOT take this if you are already on antidepressants or Adderall because it can lead to serotonin syndrome. Otherwise the typical diet that is required by synthetic maois is not as strict since this is a reversible maoi.
  18. That's awesome... I love your screen name btw! ?
  19. @Pernani I would think the simplest way to meditate on something is to use it as a mantra, and then any incoming insights, whether during your meditation, during your day, or that night's dreams would reflect the subject of your meditation.
  20. @NoSelfSelf yeah come to think of it, I think it was actually about how to astral project, not awaken, my bad. Annoying how memory gets jumbled like that. @Quanty that's interesting, I'll look more into it. I have spent time focusing on the various energy points, even my legs and hands. I have such ADD though, I usually bounce around and don't focus on one for long enough I'm sure.
  21. @Quanty I had gotten an insight a couple years ago from what I can only describe as my inner guru, that in order to awaken I need to be able to feel my entire body at one time. Is this similar to what you are saying? Since then I have worked on feeling and activating different areas of my body /energy centers. I have a hard time really feeling them though, without Marijuana. Then of course I started a vicious cycle of thinking I need Marijuana to do the work. Any suggestions? I've even tried herbs that restore energy and qi, but still can only very very faintly feel awareness in my body while sober. Can you explain corpus callosum?
  22. I will admit it didn't start until I took lsa (related to lsd). That was 2 years ago. But I don't think it's necessary, it just opened a door so to speak, but the door was already there. Smoke a little bit and then lay down and let your mind run wild. Eventually you might get to a state of not controlling what you're saying, but not stopping what you are saying(talking about mind chatter) At this point you might slip into a stream of consciousness that is like a dream, but no visuals. There might be a story line playing out in your head, that if you snap out of it, you'd be like "Ok what the hell was that?" at some point if you learn to lean into that other stream of consciousness without snapping out of it, you might get sudden pings of images that sort of jump into your view (eyes closed of course).
