  1. You should think about the impact you want to have with your work, if you haven’t already, and design the question around that.
  2. Fruit isn’t in season year round so even if the soil was fine it still wouldn’t be a natural diet. I didn’t read that whole article but it seemed to be pretty biased from what I did read. Here’s some quotes from it that I think are debatable. “Fruit is the easiest food to digest, which should right there, tip us off that we are biologically designed to eat it.” - An Apple digests in about 40 minutes and raw egg in about 20 minutes. I’m not sure what they mean by the easiest food to digest. “We don’t have claws or hoofs like carnivores and herbivores. We aren’t equipped with sharp teeth and abrasive tongues for ripping apart flesh. In order for meat to taste good we have to cook it. What other species on Earth cooks their food?” - we also have opposable thumb’s and are capable of making tools to cut our meat so I don’t think this is a very good argument. Haha I disagree with having to cook meat for it to taste good. Sushi Is delicious. I do think it’s unnatural to cook food so they got that part right at least. Have you tried a raw meat and raw dairy diet before? Everyone I’ve heard that’s tried raw beef, raw eggs, and raw milk has had extreme health benefits.

  4. @pluto from what I’ve learned lately it seems that fruit is more for cleansing and detoxifying the body than it is for building and growing. It has its place in a diet but shouldn’t be what a whole diet is based on. The only reason people survive on fruit now is because we get shipments from all over the world. Unless you live in the tropics, you wouldn’t be able to sustain yourself on fruit alone without the help of our government. With that said it’s not a very natural diet. I would think from an evolutionary standpoint that our bodies would want to make our health dependent upon something that we have easy access to, like meat.

  7. I think if a child was hungry and you put meat in front of it, it would eat it. The only reason I don’t run after a pig and kill it for food is because I’m not starving. I can go to the supermarket and feed myself. If I was about to die from starvation and I saw a pig, ya damn right I would run after it. Yes raw meat looks appealing especially sushi. I love raw tuna and fish eggs. Idk who would eat insects when they can have steak. I didn’t say anything about better tasting foods meaning they’re healthier. However, the first thing babies want when they come into this world is milk. Not veggies, not fruit, good ol natural milk. Do you think the medical industry really wants you to be healthy? You’re worth a lot more money to them if you’re sick. So it makes sense that any scientific studies funded by such corporations would be biased to show the health benefits of toxic foods and the negative effects of real healthy foods. If they can brainwash you into thinking you’re vegan diet is “healthy”, then you’ll never question it because all of your peers are doing the same. And as your body slowly begins to become malnourished and your brain shuts down, your medical bills will begin to add up.

  10. Plants feeling pain is a weak argument against veganism but I like to play devils advocate. Haha
  11. A Venus fly trap can feel fly so what makes you think plants can’t feel more than that.
  12. That’s interesting I wonder if that’s why people who eat too much fruit start to get rotten teeth. I’m not 100% sure of this but I heard that when we eat acidic foods like fruit, to convert them into alkaline, we have to pull a lot of minerals from our bones to do so.
  13. Plants do have a nervous system and they can communicate with each other. There’s a ted talk on this. Plants have defense mechanisms just like all other life. They don’t want to be eaten any more than a cow does.
  14. @Huginn I feel the same way about steamed broccoli it’s pretty yummy. And it’s an interesting point you bring up about us being frugivores. It seems like we have the teeth of a frugivore but we have a digestive tract similar to dogs which are carnivores.
  15. Why is it that when you put plain broccoli in front of a child they don’t want to eat it? Yet they love milk. Our instinct to avoid vegetables is apparent from a very young age. But we’ve been brainwashed by “science” to think that eating it is healthy for us. I think we should trust our bodies natural instincts more. I mean we’ve only been on this planet for a few million years. ?
  16. @kieranperez I would start with the little things. Get a job. Make your bed in the mornings if you don’t already. Start to pay for your own food, gas, insurance, bills, etc... You need to take extreme ownership of your life. It’s your life and nobody else’s. Once you realize that it will help you because you’ll see that you are where you are at in your life because you let yourself be there. Listen to the Jocko Willinck podcast. He’s a retired navy seal and his brute perspective can be really helpful for getting unstuck.
  17. @Michael569 You think? Why is it that tribes like the Maasai in Kenya can live as the strongest tribe today with their diet composing of raw meat, raw milk, and raw blood? You’d think they’d be sick and extinct by now and yet it’s normal for their people to live over 100 years old. But vegans have to takes shots from big pharma to get their b12. We’ve been brainwashed with vegan propaganda and there’s something we can learn from these tribes about true healthy living.
  18. @littleBIG genius. The Ollie is like the foundation for any trick in skating. You’ve got it. So spend 80% of your time skating practicing that and the other 20% and you’ll be really efficient with your practice.
  19. Simple answer is no. Haha again idk what the 20% is for skating but for real estate sales it stays the same. The 20% is the basics. The fundamentals to success in whatever field you’re in. I do motocross as well and the basics to that are body positioning and being smooth. That’s the 20% that if I focus on and get right it will give me a large 80% of the results. Once you have the 20% mastered then you can pay more detailed attention to the 80% to polish up your skills.
  20. @littleBIG mastery is a hugely important concept for getting good at anything and I highly recommend you read Mastery by George Leonard. As well as, look into what deliberate practice is. I know there’s a ted talk on YouTube explaining the importance of deliberate practice. Another thing, there’s an 80/20 rule when it comes to everything in life. 20 percent of the activities you do lead to 80 percent of your results and vis versa. For example with skating, your 20% might be to practice form and balance or something along the lines of that and the 80% is wearing the right shoes, having good bearings and wheels etc.. I’ve never skated so I don’t know what the 80/20 is for skating but the point is, there’s a small number of specific things you can do when you practice skating that will lead to the majority of your results. That’s the 20%. And that’s where you should focus 80% of your time. And vis versa you should only focus 20% of your time on the 80% that doesn’t lead to the majority of your results. I’ll give you another example, I used to do real estate sales and for me, my 20% was making cold calls, going on appointments, and signing listings agreements. Those things are what lead to give me 80% of my results. By focusing the majority of my time on those activities I was able to progress a lot faster. Read Mastery by George Leonard and apply the 80/20 principal to your skating. I can honestly say that I believe you can make it as a pro skater and I hope that you don’t ever let a limiting belief hold you back.
  21. I’ve heard people say the same about veganism. What’s actually the truth? I think that’s something each of us has to experiment with and find out for ourself.
