  1. Hi! I am an 18-years old who's just graduated. And I have 4 free months till the start of university . I was wondering what could I do during that time. It has just started and I am getting bored. Yes, there are many things I want to do - read books, meditate, travel, but all of these activities just take a minimum part of my time. I am open to any suggestions which will help me spend my time in a productive and pleasant way.
  2. How to see people as individuals rather than objectifying them (taking them for granted)? What's the opposite of taking someone for granted?
  3. Paleo diet mostly contains food, which is likely to cause high cholesterol (meat, diary) and that can be the main cause behind heart disease. Paleo diet mostly contains meat, which is bad for you because it contains lots of hormones. Besides it has a bad effect on the environment, because : 1) For meat production are needed too much water and an area in the size of Africa. 2)Many rainforests are being cut off for meat production. 3) Methan, which is produced by animals, contributes to ozone weakening.
  4. @Leo Gura Thank you for the answer. I realize that it could be time-consuming, but I do not really see an alternative. I want to learn more about the mind, body, psychology, neurology and to be exact- how different things (lifestyle, meditation, eating habits and etc.) effect them and to be honest I can't find something better than medicine that approaches all of this. The only thing I am sure I want to do is helping people.
  5. Hello! I have a serious decision forthcoming. It's my last year in high school, which means that I have to choose a career path. Finally I've chosen one of my many interests - medicine, but only to learn that most doctors work for enormous hours. If there are physicians in this forum, my question is for them - how many hours a week does a physician work and do they have time for something else except work? And will my inner balance suffer if I take this path?
  6. I deeply believe that love is something to work on and something that needs practice. Some ways that I found to practice love are being mindful with my partner and trying to understand. Do you have other ideas? How can I improve in practice of love?
