everything breathes in and out, you only feel bad because you're not putting in the work that you were already putting it take a step back and realize the amazing fact that you did put the work in, that is undeniable proof of your change. it is normal to regress from time to time, you breath in all the new change, the new habits...then you breath out. but as you advance you get better at breathing and the times when you 'regress' are shorter and less chaotic. even now you are in this state but you are very conscious of it, is that not evolution even in a 'lower' state? this drive towards constant and perfect growth is a common symptom in society, in economy constant growing profit is an illusion, it's just not possible, but overall evolution is possible if we accept and understand that growth is done in waves that expand and contract rhythmically whereas the growth is not the absence of contraction but the intensifying of the expansion and the relaxing of the contraction. in my opinion

the more I go the more I seem advance towards a state of forgetting who I am. In order to connect with what I have forgotten about my real identity it seems I am now forgetting partly who I am now. I forget to keep track of people, of time. I forget what I did yesterday, I forget what I'm going to do tomorrow, I forget the bills, I forget social norms. I a sense I guess I'm forgetting the ego. Where I want to go with this is that meditation is a nice practice of forgetting, if we can keep our attention away from certain things eventually we let loose of them in the content of our consciousness. It's meditation has evolved to a point where it allows me to forget that which is unnecessary to know right now. I forget that I'm not where I want to be, I forget what I want but don't have.... I can only stress more the massive advantages of meditation! in whatever form it may be and for info I practice moving awareness meditation, I personally never sit still, but I try to have the least thoughts possible throughout the day, but this is my way, the best way is the one that feels right to each individual

only a meaningful moment or two from a few hours ago. I do 'forget' things in the content of my mind but I know where I am going, and I know what I did in a sense but I can't recall it. I know where I'm going but it's not a thought or a plan. I guess I needed to be more specific about this. It's more like getting in tune with the present moment, you seem to be aware of less things that are outside the present moment and yet there's more fluidity, more decisiveness, more direction. it's like forgetting things on a conscious scale but knowing them more on an unconscious scale. It's like being in the present moment your memory works in another way, instead of having the conscious memory and events in the content of your mind somehow your mind is empty and dedicated to the present moment and you know what you did and where you're going but not consciously,it's like memory is this huge dark wall, you know what's written on it but you can't read it, there's no light it's dark. yet you somehow know everything that written on it at once. but if you focus on a specific part you can't 'read' it. it's like the entirety of your memory is at your disposal but not in the way that you're used to, you can't interact with it directly and indulge into it, I know yet I don't know it, it's a way of using memory that let's you fully indulge and concentrate in the present moment and still fully enjoy the benefits of your memory of past events its pretty hard to explain -
completely agree with leo, this is a magnificent use of a psychedelic, with consciousness and readiness to face inner distortions

lots of us are familiar with the concept that there is no such thing as linear time, that time is an illusion. there are great benefits to framing our thoughts and thinking in that truth. what I do is that I when I think about something in the past or the future I treat it like its happening now. It makes you realize the power of what you're thinking and how you're shaping your emotional state right now, always in the present. If you were to ruminate for example about a mistake you'd maybe think in these lines : ''I did bad, that event sucked, that wasn't nice, I wasn't reliable'' Now if you change it to present thinking it would give : ''I'm doing bad, this sucks, this is isn't nice, I'm not reliable'' You quite immediately realize what you are doing to yourself. You can see how you are putting yourself down, how you are making yourself believe in a bad life. This is obvious when you put things into the present. And this is the truth, this is what happens when we ruminate, if can see beyond the illusion of ''past'' and ''future'' we can see what we are doing ourselves. The need to ruminate will quickly diminish if you think in present time. The same thing can be done about future events. If you're looking forward to something like a party or a meeting you may think : ''it's going to be great!'' change that to : ''this is great!'' and you will feel even better about yourself, you're applying the excitement of a future event to feel good about your life right now. same with projects : ''I will accomplish this, I'll realize my dream'' in the present it gives : ''I accomplish what I want, I realize my dreams''. This one is good, as it lets you be aware that all your power is in the present linear time is an illusion, to drop the illusion of time in your thoughts and perspective of life will certainly help anyone learn more about their own potential and have access to deeper knowledge and energies

heh you're aware of your issues, I'm sure you'll get to solve them! I know this stuff is challenging, at first is certainly is, there's a lot of momentum behind the way we use our minds, but it's definitely just momentum and we can make our minds go any way we want, for me it toke about a week to get used to thinking more into present terms. I assure you LRyan, this a switch of perspective into a very highly spiritual point of view, this exercise is bound to bring you amazing things. but as always the paths to enlightenment are infinite, the best way is your way -
you have many reincarnational lives, you can easily be judging someone for something you did yourself in the past or the future. (there's no linear timeline in the spirit world)

''you are already enlightened'' "there's nothing you have to do'' I understand more the nature of what it means to enlighten, of what it means to realize you're already enlightened. We are in psychic chains. And the only way to free ourselves from our chains is to stop believing in them. I used to have a hard time approaching this concept. How does believing that nothing is wrong help us solve our problems? It makes sense if your very beliefs and imaginations are the root of what forms reality, of what attracts circumstances and events in our life. We have to realize that we are psychic beings, that we have latent powers. We quite literally function magically. there's nothing to ''do'' but there's everything to ''be''. don't try to be free, be free I will share advice regarding psychic intent and powers. symbolic physical gestures is a a good concept to understand. if someone goes to a spiritual healer who uses crystals it is not the crystals that have the power to heal, nor the healer, the person heals itself. But the spiritual healer and the crystals serve as a symbolic physical gesture that allows the person more easily and deeply access the belief that they are healed. Only enlightened masters can access their beliefs deeply and shape reality without any symbolic gesture, quite literally with pure faith and intent. So to enlighten, you will have to keep ''doing'' things, but these things don't have any meaning inherently, they are a symbolic gesture. If one believes that meditating everyday will help him enlighten more, then so he shall enlighten more, but only because believes that meditation helps in that regard. If you believe interacting with an animal from time to time, helps you understand deeper things about life, so it will. You can intent what you desire into life with symbolic gestures. If one understands this you can start playing around and finding your own symbolic gestures, and you won't be as limited as you understand that there are infinite ways to enlighten. All you need is your intent and a symbolic gesture. You could for example start believing that a mere glass of water a day helps clear and purify your mind to great clarity. You can really play around with this and come up with whatever you want. The more you understand that what you do doesn't matter, but that you only do it so that you can believe more in your own powers the less bound you will be by physical circumstances and the more easily you will access your own powers.

get in the habit of asking yourself ''am I aware?'' and answer that for yourself then observe what happens, it is very interesting. you can be playful with it and ask it at random times then you can be -

there's nothing wrong with video games... the key is understanding why you are playing video games. most people play videogames to escape their real desires and purposes because they are afraid which is normal. The real truth is that some aren't even aware that their actual real purposeful desires are being unconsciously pushed under the rug because the person does not believe that their real desires can be achieved, to know their real desire would be torture to them,so their higher self protects them with ''blinds''. so it appears the only desire left is video games, but that's just the substitute. the key to figuring this loop-hole out is counting your passions and desires. if your only passion video games, then it's mostly a substitute for fear. if you have many passions, many ways that you're evolving and growing, and video games is one of then, then it's just a desire of yours. A healthy individual grows in many directions, like a sound wave, in all directions. fear causes one to run from certain things and to go in a specific controlled ''safe'' direction -

there is nothing wrong with power, power is good, it is a good feeling, its expansion. the ego is the one telling you that there's something wrong with having power. you are soul capable of creating reality, ascending dimensions, reincarnation, psychic abilities and much more... you deserve to feel powerful! because you are. but anyhow don't worry, the real powers do not come to those who don't have the wisdom to do good with it -
Arkandeus replied to How to be wise's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
did the core teachings of buddha also teach you that time is an illusion? Therefore if time is not real, then what will decide how fast you will get where you want to go? It is truly intent. < For that you have to be conscious of your power as a spiritual being and your responsibility. It means that you have to believe and intent for it to happen now. There's no ''objective'' measure, you are the creator of your reality, beliefs and intent are arts that need to be mastered in order to succeed at this. Now I know it won't happen right now, even if you tried, because you aren't proficient yet at intent. But in order to be good you have to start now, literally, believe and intent that everything can happen now, and slowly it will happen now. It will take you believing that things are happening right now that aren't actually happening right now. It is direct practice of seeing beyond physical reality....and seeing the real potential spiritual reality. you are the leader of the ship, if you want the ship to go the right, you have to believe and intent for it to go to the right, even if its going to the left at the moment. this practice obliterates the modern ego that only wants to look at objectivity and facts and steer from that data. -
keep changing, you'll grow spiritually and evolve to a point where you will radiate awareness, love, warmth, uniqueness, and much more... THEN people will be ready to listen to your spiritual advice. timing is very important, it is a matter of feeling, some people will be ready to discuss this with you, some not. But people are always watching, as you evolve they will start being curious, and when you thrive you will feel it, you will feel that they are ready to listen. so have the timing of a cat, the day will come when your family will want to hear what changed you so much, they are always listening subconsciously and consciously, do not worry ,just keep growing. also your stuffed animals are made of consciousness and atoms that posses a consciousness, your stuffed animal is pretty much alive and has its own form of consciousness. so do not feel alienated, when you share your stories with your stuffed animals, that is a beautiful act of love

principal of acceleration, a positive spiral, the more you advance, the better you get at advancing the beginning really is the hardest part of spirituality, once the ball gets rolling I assure you that change happens fast and constantly. the promise of spirituality is a life of constant joy and happiness and fulfilling, does anyone sometimes think about what it takes for them to be in a state of constant joy and happiness? it takes some serious changes in the degree, intensity and variety of your reality. spirituality WILL blow your mind, literally, you will experience things that will make your mouth drop. the beginning is slow, that is normal, you're slowly awakening to your identity as a soul if you really want to advance faster I suggest you read a book called ''seth: the eternal validity of the soul'' written directly by an highly awakened soul that lives in the ethereal world beyond physical life and time. it is literally a teacher from beyond our dimension

notice that you are in the zone regularly, notice those moments when you are already in the zone. do you have any fear of falling when you walk? do you have any fear of failing to walk? when we walk we are in the zone, and walking is no easy or ''simple'' feat. It is a complicated string of physical calculations and balance, but because it is the first thing we learned and mastered we sort of gloss over it and think its just a natural occurrence. Same with reading, most people are very confident in their reading abilities , they read in a ''flow' state yet reading is not something simple at all. You can find your own personal flow states in many of your daily activities where you act with full confidence and grace. To recognize that you already have flow states gives you the ability to investigate how to achieve a flow state. How did you achieve a flow state while walking? how did you achieve a flow state with reading? You'll see that before you could walk with full confidence, you were crawling, you tried hard for many months, you desired to walk, you fell many times yet you pushed through with amazing dedication. No baby goes after falling a dozen times : ''well that's it : I'm tired of trying to learn walk, I give up, it's too hard'' A baby doesn't doubt for a second its determination, yet it fails many times before it can finally walk properly into a flow state. this process is amazing, and there's a lot to learn from it. so for me to get into a flow state is to have the determination of a baby to set to do what you want to do, and no matter how many times you fail or ''fall'', get back up and keep striving to set out your desires, till you don't notice when you fall, till the idea of failing doesn't seem ridiculous, it never even enters your mind to begin with, and then before you notice it will the come state with zero doubt, the state where you act with your full intent and will power and confidence, because winning and setting out to do what you want is your only reality.
-
this is like learning to walk....you will fall from time to time. you are very conscious of what happened and your desire to change and become better is the sign that you will learn an enormous amount from this and overcome this sort of behavior eventually. you can't do more then that, don't feel too guilty, your ego is the one making this hurt, putting pressure on you that you should've ''known better''. this is a long road, as long as your intent is in the right place you will get there, don't panic when you have drawbacks, the car is turning around slowly but surely and the more you go the more you accelerate. how wonderful it is that you are so conscious and that you care so much about the way you affect the people around you. an error is just, an error...it never defines you, you can learn from it, if you feel you hurt someone you can talk to them and express your feelings. where will you prove the strength of your heart, the strength of your belief in yourself but in those moments of weakness? be grateful for it is a chance to enlighten yourself even more. Who are you in rapport to this event? What kind of reaction will you take, that most clearly reflects the type of person you are? Are you able to be forgiving towards yourself?to never stop believing in yourself? to forgive others? good luck

once you start chosing something to listen to you are doing something in my opinion. now if there is natural sounds in your environment that are not under your control then listening to these sounds is just a natural occurrence -

Try to be more of yourself. Feel less guilt. Feel less shame, feel less anxiety, feel less anger, in that process you have to help yourself overcome your negative feelings. Your ''inner demons'' so to speak. You have to realize that all demons are illusions, and illusions are real, but they're made real by you. Meaning that to overcome inner demons you don't fight them directly, for your focus is empowering, you have to pay less attention to them. What you look at directly, disappears. To look directly at something is to look at it with acceptance as though it is happening to you, but in front of you, you are merely a witness to it. It is possible to be calm in anger, it is possible to be calm in a state of anxiety, to be calm in sadness, to be calm in jealousy, to be calm in pain. The be calm and accepting is to ''understand'', one cannot accept what he does not understand, so to be calm in the face of your negative feelings, your inner demons so to speak is to understand them subconsciously. Also work on your positive feelings. Be more free, be more loving towards yourself, believe more in yourself

balance as always, love others but also love yourself. even just having the will of wanting to love another is a beautiful thing, even if you don't find the time to actually do it because you're too busy with your own problems. just that intent alone, is a gem that fires loves vibrations in all directions, you'd be surprised how your presence alone plays its role in many thing in this world, and for that I personally couldn't be more thankful for your habit.

amazing question. Sometimes your thoughts translate your heart, sometimes they don't have it right. feelings are always true, but we misunderstand our feelings very easily, with the ego in the way. our heart might be pointing towards one direction and the ego in the other which brings up mixed feelings, mixed thoughts, and confusion. I basically just repeated what you already said...it's something very personal I guess. If I were to give you advice is to first ask your higher self this : ''I want to be able to understand the feelings of my heart better'' Even if asked just once, the intention is set, and in the following days or weeks you will get better at it. A spiritual law I read about is what you ask, you get, but you have to ask. I guess for more deep advice when making a decision, pay careful attention. heart feelings tend to be quite grounded, the ego jumps all over the place, it's not certain. The heart follows excitement and joy, the ego runs away from fear and discomfort. How does it make you feel the idea of quitting school? does it excite you?do you think you'll be able to do something more interesting and authentic? The ego likes to do keep doing things that don't work, the ego would rather stay 'secure' in comfort then change what doesn't work. Is school working out for you? If you give something a decent try and it doesn't work out, then change and try something that might work. If you make a decision out of a place of fear it's most likely the ego. ''If don't go finish this school, I won't have a job,I'll end up on streets''..... that is the ego. I'll tell you this, you have a higher self that oversees millions of parallel realities, that sees into the future and the past, that attracts events and people in your life for your benefit and joy....all you need to do is trust your heart, you are amazingly powerful. Don't let fear guide your life. It's really a matter of trust, if you feel like you're ready to trust your higher self, that everything will work out if you quit school then do it, if you're not ready yet don't do it. till you feel that confidence. Once you start trusting, once you start living your life this way and you see results, you see that the universe has your back you will never to go back to not trusting again. It just feels so good to trust and just follow your excitement!

in my opinion if you're looking to understand a message from the higher self always look straight into your heart. what your heart tells you is your answer

I'm not gonna tell you you are wrong. If you feel ugly then that is your reality and experience and that has to be respected. But know that you could experience yourself in an entirely other way, I guarantee you, you could look at yourself in the mirror and be amazed. I didn't like my body and my face so much either before spirituality. Now I do. I didn't ''change'' who I was in that perception, I changed perception altogether. So in that old perception I'm still the loser, and I will always be, because that is the way that perception works. You have to realize it's just a perception. It's not the stone cold truth. I assure you that others see you in an entirely different way then you see yourself. If I would see you no doubt I would find you beautiful. Would that mean my perception is better or the truth? Not at all! I think the key here is understanding that no one is safe from looking ugly, there is for everyone a perception of themselves where they look ugly. which is why you can have models that think they look ugly, pop stars with insecurities, or just a regular guy or girl that thinks he/she is ugly... No one is safe from this shit. Because no one is objectively beautiful or ugly, it doesn't exist. It really is our perception that decides what is beautiful or not. Most of us are stuck in society's perception of ugly and beautiful, and yes in that one most of the people are not beautiful. Most of us are ugly. That's just the way it is. But what is society? it's division, it's war, it's violence, it's manipulation, competition...do you really want to base your perception of yourself on our society?Society is nuts, don't believe it. Any spiritual person you will encounter will see the true beauty of your body, and I'm not talking about ''pretend or inner beauty'' but the actual true beauty of your body and face. And I tell you that the body viewed from a more spiritual perception is a ten thousand times more beautiful then the superficial perception of society. When I walk around the streets it's like half the people I see are models. it's up to you if you chose to believe in society's perception or in the perception of the spiritual community. If you chose the latter you will be able to access an entirely different perception of your body

So I came across this in a book recently, apparently aside from touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing, we have sixth sense that is knowing. And suddenly I'm recalling past experiences and having new experiences related to that, it's starting to resonate with me and I'd like to investigate this further with you all. I've been stretching for about half a year now, I go to the gym sometimes and a I sometimes feel sore in a particular spot on my back and my regular stretches aren't always helping that spot. Then about a week ago I just had the sudden idea to try to stretch in a new way, I just did a set of movements and it helped. I was surprised because I never knew much about stretching and here I was doing my own personal stretch. Never would I have been able to come up with my own stretches, as I would be too fearful to stretch in a bad way and make damage to my body, yet I just knew how to move and that it would help that particular spot. The same thing happened not long ago. From a past injury on my left elbow I sometimes feel sore there if I exercise too much, I've been having this for about a year now. If I just let it be it passes after a day or so. Today I have that feeling again in my elbow and suddenly I have the idea to massage the tissue with my fingers in a special way, and the result it feels better. Now the idea that ''massaging my elbow could probably help the soreness'' isn't new, it's not a biological concept I'm unfamiliar with. But what happened is that suddenly I knew how to massage it and I knew it would help in that moment and that is not something I'm used to at all. I also have another example with a dog, where one day I was retrieving some cash at the bank and this guy came in with this huge dog. Now I love dogs but sometimes I'm slightly scared. I just suddenly felt like I knew I could pat him with absolute safety and I did and it went well. Immediately after I left the bank I wondered ''why did I feel so certain I could pat this particular dog? why don't I feel this way with all dogs?'' Im slowly starting to get what this sixth sense is about. I'm wondering if anyone on the forum has similar examples and situations to share?
