No thanks. So many fake Indian Guru's have tired materialisation for centuries and are still doing it today, its a gimmick to fool devotes. Like saying me saying to you to keep an open mind that duality is the correct way and your experience of non-duality is false. At least its a good way of knowing a Guru is false..... -

In Hinduism there is a term called Dharma, there is a set of rules / a code in which ever part of life you are in, whether you are living in a cave, have a family or are the president of the country, and its your job to maintain those rules to live a 'spiritual life'. Basically do whats righteous. But what does that actually mean? Someone is going to have an opposing view to what is morally right or wrong, so essentially you cant win. Just do the best you can however it plays out is the way its going to be....
-
I agree with what you are saying. I'm talking about a completely different thing, maybe I should have made a new thread to get off the topic of leading Country. None the less there have been Rulers in the past who were enlightened, as a ruler someone will see an act that you have done to be wrong. But from the the Rulers viewpoint what they are doing is not wrong but has to be done. They have acted according to their Dharma, which for an enlightened person is Dirt Free.
-
Although it was in line with the topic of the conversation. I specifically replied only to that one line where you said you can find dirt on anyone. Nothing to do with politics. Did this as you believe people who are actually enlightened cannot live a pious life....
-
Nope. Ramana Maharshi is an example. i can give many more who lived a totally pious life,

Practically speaking, its impossible to study all the different aspects. I have seen some of your replies to others regarding philosophy on this forum with a harsh tone and going against what you said in the last line. I would say all enlightened people are equally enlightened. I find your never going to reach the goal without sticking to a certain POV that suits you. Seems like the goal is to do this while encompassing what you said in the last line. There is always a certain preference an enlightened person has in terms of philosophy. I think the key word here is Preference and it should be regarded as that and not absolute, although i can see the conundrum of being enlightened and having to agree with someone elses POV. An aside regarding my similarities research, have you reached the white/bright light "stage" in your 10+ 5-MeO-DMT trips? -

But what do all Enlightened people agree upon? (i say all but obviously cant study all of them, I have studied many from the Indian region and there are a few things which hold true for all of those enlightened people) This is what I have been looking into and I have found a few things that they all agree upon. -

The only one that is not in that state of mind is the one that is Enlightened. So yes I am staying within it, but im working my way through it. Have I dipped my toe through it? Maybe....
-
I didnt assume anything You clearly typed it out, in Caps lock...
-
You type as if you know this to be true as a fact. Truth is, you don't know what enlightenment is, neither do we. Actually the truth is we dont know if anyone is enlightened or has been or will be. This is your opinion so how can you speak like this? Its probably more dangerous to act like you know the answers....
-
Except there is no mind when Enlightened. A nice little quote below for you. Absorption is of two sorts; Submergence and destruction. Mind submerged rises again; Dead, it revives no more

Claiming Bentinho as 'genuinely enlightened' is incorrect in my opinion.... We simply have different definitions of enlightenment. You are never going to see my view point.

The book is immense. You are not really going to get a proper translation. With things like this I find it best to read as many translations i can get my hand on side by side. That way you get to read the passage several times also you tend to get a better understanding when comparing. -
I hear you loud and clear! Who said anything about Buddhist Dharma? The meaning of Dharma was well established before Buddhism. Regardless, we just have different opinions. You see me as if I'm chasing something that doesn't exist. While I see you as not having a clear definition of enlightenment. Surrender is another word for enlightenment. And you cant surrender to something that inst perfect and has shadow issues. Enlightenment is what it is. There is no room for anything that is not perfect hence I used the word automatic. None the less its all just opinions in the end since we are not enlightened. Lets just put the work in and see what happens, and if it turns out that I spent the rest of my life spinning my wheels chasing something that doesn't exist then so be it......

Probably not a good idea. Do some other spiritual practice. When you have calmed down maybe try it again. -
I believe you haven't understood Dharma and its meaning. You can be a king in the real world and be Enlightened and have no shadow issues. Enlightenment cant happen if there are shadow issues, thats the whole idea. Thats the only reason to pursue enlightenment in the first instance, to 100% eradicate all issues. If you believe that cant be done then we have different ideas of enlightenment. In regards to the Fantasy of Ramana Maharshi, yes its true. But its the only Fantasy that I want to have. That Faith is driving the practice and will eventually lead to Enlightenment.

Instead of intellectualizing spirituality, Shivabalayogi encouraged people to practice meditation. Instead of giving discourses, he gave actual experiences. However, he placed a great value on the Yoga Vasishta and over four decades, he often recommended the book to devotees. Swamiji said that everything that humanity needs to know and everything a person could possibly want to know is in the Yoga Vasistha. It contains everything from politics to gambling to knowing how to deceive. There is no need to read any other book. Swamiji advised that we should not try to read it all. Instead, we should focus on a subject area in which we are interested. Swamiji has read the entire book in both Sanskrit and Telugu three times and he said that he understands it all. http://www.shivabalayogi.org/Books/Yoga_Vasistha.htm Enjoy, uploaded a copy below https://uploadfiles.io/8bjbd -
Think your definition of enlightened is off. Enlightenment should be black or white, Thats why the people you have studied didn't perfect their Dharma. I would say Ramana Maharshi had no imperfections. As a Sadhu he followed his Dharma perfectly. So too many other people who are actually enlightened. The definition of enlightenment should include perfection. Hence why saying Bentinho is enlightened is incorrect, although he may be 'closer' to it than others. Someone who is Enlightened lives his life 'automatically' there is no choice, it is Perfect- no room for hidden shadow sides what so ever!

Lol I know exactly what you mean, the 'im going for a ride' is the best way to explain it. I believe its a good indicator of progression. You will 'feel' it more often. But I believe you should try to ignore it and carry on with your meditation technique. Whenever I entertained it I go off in a tangent. If I ignore it I go deeper and deeper within.
