@mohdanas How have you been using patience? When do you see it best used? How would you recommend someone go about using it practically? How do you define it? Answer all of these questions and that should help you place it on your list as well as begin to practice is (hopefully daily!!)

@Shakazulu No coincidences around here buddy -
@ctzonka Hey, thanks for posting about this. I have struggled with this in the past as well. It's a tough one to overcome, since residual patterns tend to stick around long after you've overcome those insecurities. Anyways, there is nothing wrong with you. Trust the process that is unfolding in front of you and take the leap to discover yourself. Don't expect to "get it" right away. The nature of who you are wont come to you by forcing it. Start to authentically enjoying being by yourself, intimately by yourself, and slowly but surely take small risks with other people to show your personality without being too critical of yourself give yourself 3 months to start, which is plenty of time to move toward being. All the best!

@Shakazulu 100 years is plenty of time. Seneca writes: "It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested. But when it is wasted in heedless luxury and spent on no good activity, we are forced at last by death’s final constraint to realize that it has passed away before we knew it was passing. So it is: we are not given a short life but we make it short, and we are not ill-supplied but wasteful of it… Life is long if you know how to use it." -
What has been your experience with deepening your insights? (Besides contemplation of course.)

I remember being 14, and having daily inspiration toward the magical aspects of the world. That excitement pushed me out of bed in the morning, and i couldn't wait to see what was in store for the day. Now, everything feels very systematized and routine. Did i mature through this value? Or should i strive to get it back? (I'm 20 now, but that value was the strongest one i have ever had) That inspiration boosted my vitality and enthusiasm as well. I wonder if i could find a more "mature" version of this, but that inspiration was so strong and ungrounded, it felt Divine at times.

@Solace What are some examples you have via direct experience? -
For those who are pretty serious about learning about Islam, without much dogma, please check out Hamza Yusef. If you are in California, he has his own accredited university in Northern California near the Bay Area.

@SuchIsLife That is a good place to start, see where that takes you.

@SuchIsLife Delay gratification (use willpower) to the point where your mind doesn't care whether you do or you don't buy that chocolate bar or the coffee. Be careful, and be honest with yourself when you make the decision that you really could go without it. When you can walk buy the coffee shop without any emotional pull and you have a steady mind either way, grab a coffee and enjoy it

"If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is a part of yourself" - Hermann Hesse Would anyone like to share an experience they have had with this?

@aurum Thank you for this.

@littleBIG Fall off, get back on. Fall off, get back on. Fall off, get back on. Eventually it will stick if you keep track a log of your meditation sessions. Plus, after a 30 day streak the way you feel will keep it a priority. It IS a priority of yours, right? -

@John Lula It's like hating a mental image of a person when in actuality the person is completely dynamic. -

@Faceless Fear of what? @Ether wym @Quanty Masks, like the different roles we play? Perhaps its a lack of understanding of why it (Hate) exists. @moon777light I think we must question why the thing (we hate) exists and come to terms with the reality of it. -
@Shakazulu You have to integrate the shadow into your psyche. Its always a possibility that a physical altercation could occur. Are you prepared for something like that? Like @tsuki said, if you don't address your weaknesses and your insecurities/"Dark Side", it will start to manifest in front of you in often subtle ways and you will stuff it under the rug. For example, someone is telling you about their accomplishments and instead of thinking in a win-win type of scenario and being happy for that person, you are secretly seething inside with jealousy and trying to suppress it instead of being open with yourself and the other.

@ZZZZ Usually, the thought passes rather quickly if you just observe it and don't react to it. Of course it is a bummer when you notice those micro judgements in your awareness, but what i found is that i have more "control" when i see them happen and watch them pass. I used to "try to stop" my thoughts from doing that, but that just made my monkey mind even more elusive. -
Just spoke with him last night, He's plugging DMT with his astral buddies.

@Peter Zemskov Peter, It sounds like they are projecting their insecurities onto you. That aside, what values/strengths could you focus on instead of being envious? Like @ajasatya said, you could try to have compassion for them, but from the sounds of things, they have made you pretty neurotic about it. I would recommend some sitting (however long it needs to be) and accepting that they are who they are, then finding out the best version of yourself you could be instead of the envious Peter.

@zoey101 Chiropractor is a short term fix. Meds are a short term fix. How healthy is your spine in general? You're going to feel sore, then it'll go away, BUT u want to make sure that in 6 months from now you do not get reoccurring pain. Stretching and body awareness is crucial. Make sure you do the cobra yoga pose, loosen your hips, as well as make sure you maintain a healthy spine/neck throughout the day. (Not a professional, but I have been rear ended by someone going 60mph so i get ya.) Let me know if you need any help.

@jivvie Are you networking/ reaching out to professionals in specific specialities like Java? You could find experts in those specific categories you mentioned via LinkedIn, and develop long term relationships that benefit your LP. You have the vision, but you only have two hands. Know what i mean? Everyone has their strengths.

@Gecko If you're just starting out, use theta waves and take a power nap afterwards and see how you feel.
