  1. @Harikrishnan I heard the surface book is a great combo with the Adobe suites
  2. @Harikrishnan Are you looking to create content on there or just video edit? @dude might know more
  3. @thehero For intuitive types, this can happen by automatically absorbing someone's emotions or mental garbage. There has been examples of someone eating at a restaurant, and then they feel grumpy all of a sudden. What actually caused their grumpiness was that a person in a bad mood happened to walk in and the intuitive person picked up on that.
  4. @Talinn That game really something else. When i played that game, i was fully immersed in the adventure that Jak was undergoing. I would go over to my friends house and play it. He was 6 and i was 7 years old at the time. I can't even put into words how deeply i was connected to that game. I remember feeling deep waves of nostalgia as i grew into my teens. I would occasionally just sit and play through certain experiences in my head. AHHH! Dark Jak is a great reference to the Shadow, and Light Jak is also a good indicator as to who we could become. Wish they would make a Jak 4, those Naughty Dogs...
  5. @Talinn It's the perfect "Hero's Journey" story
  6. @Genghis Khan Glimpsing the Ox is radically life changing, isn't it? I had the same experience almost 4 years ago. It's the perfect re-contextualization. ... and that Ox wasn't wasn't what you imagined it to be was it?!
  7. @Talinn Jak & Daxter
  8. @Gligorije "Do you really want to know or are you just asking?"
  9. @Seiden You're onto something my friend. Good luck, and keep going
  10. @Nadosa When you're in that state of not knowing where you are at, become mindful of the sensations around you and notice the emotions that arise within you. Is your body tense? Is there fear? Can you locate it? Or is your mind playing a trick on you to recoil back into identification with the mind?
  11. @zambize Solid post man. I like your blockbuster example. This era we are entering is going to allow creative entrepreneurs to thrive, utilizing the power of technology and online businesses. Although the success rate will be far and few between, it'll open up new avenues that will (hopefully) shift the status quo. However, to play devil's advocate, AI will keep expanding its levels of sophistication and competence to the point where we aren't sure what agenda it's going to set out for itself, let alone humanity at large. This will be after AI can perform expert level surgeries, automate the most advanced human skills, etc. (sorry my ideas aren't linear in this post)
  12. @tashawoodfall Most definitely, a lot is going to unfold. We've barely started, actually. By the time the general population reacts, it's already too late. I am interested in witnessing what the counter culture is going to be as AI becomes more sophisticated.
  13. @tashawoodfall He's an incredible systems thinker
  14. @zambize I am not an expert in AI nor do i understand how it's going to impact business, government, etc. So all i can talk about is my observations.. It's going to start simple. Right now, we are in the beginning stages. Robots have a level of sophistication that is not too impressive, but still productive. For example, in stores that require you to unpack boxes from a conveyer belt, it was people's jobs to stand there and pick up boxes that needed to be moved to another area. This no longer is the case, because now there are robots that can pick up the boxes and remove it using recognition software. Think about it: The most simple jobs would be occupied by the most people, because as you grow in competence/skill your job would be harder to replace, right ? Well by this logic, this means that once AI can automate minimum wage jobs, there is a going to be huge unemployment levels because that's where most of the people who are employed work at.
  15. @tashawoodfall To use the analogy Musk used in the Joe Rogan Podcast, it goes pretty much like this: Right now, human beings have most of the intelligence. We get to make the choices and we rely on our brains to provide us the answers. But, as time goes on, we will rely more on artificial intelligence to give us what we are looking for, whether that be comfort, entertainment, knowledge, etc. The pendulum is shifting from man to computers.. and this is more obvious when you see how many people are adopting high levels of technologies, whether it be a new iPhone or using a Macbook. (Also the younger generations using iPads and losing touch with physical reality) Anyone using these items is contributing to the creation of self learning AI, which is why Musk is taking a fatalistic POV at this stage. We won't be able to control it because regulation committees will not have the option to take years to react to what AI does. That time frame is irrelevant to AI.
  16. @SageModeAustin Contemplation is such a gem. It intimately connects you with parts of reality that simply over looked. There's a certain mystical feeling that comes along with contemplation. When you spend a sufficient amount of time on a question like "What is society?" or "What is Language?" a wave of awe can crash over you, especially when you reflect and realize that you didn't actually know the answer before contemplating! This place of not knowing is where understanding can be developed and authentically explored.
  17. @Nathan99 The guru is inside, not outside. Which is why a lot of yogi's and mystics don't construct altars nor do they worship shrines.
  18. @Vitamine Water I'm at starbucks and this meme made me LMAO
  19. @Sukhpaal Connecting with your heart chakra and throat chakra would be a good move
  20. @Vitamine Water Have you noticed that you can't escape/suppress your emotions anymore? The highs feel more "wholesome" and the lows feel like they bring a clearer mind once they subside?
  21. @Aquarius Excellent and well put answer.
