  1. @Ampresus He has some amazing lectures on various Imams of Islam. I like his teaching style, perhaps you would enjoy it too. Since you said you're coming out of blue, i recommend studying various traditions of the world. Spend a day researching Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Sikhism. Not only study the culture, but ask, what are the commonalities in them? Even studying Islamic culture from different perspectives could be of great benefit to you Hope this helps
  2. @Ampresus Are you familiar with the work of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf?

  6. @Zakee hinnant Animals usually only defend themselves if they are threatened. A yogi poses no threat to a snake.
  7. @aurum This was my favorite episode of yours
  8. @Cocolove i think they are similar, but ego backlash would be more of a clinging to old beliefs, thus creating massive resistance type of force.. While spiritual purging is more like your subconscious mind bubbling up to the surface and bringing up all kinds of random experiences from your past in an attempt to give you a new homeostasis.

  10. @Viking Go ahead and do it and let us know how it goes
  11. @NoSelfSelf Start by improving something in your direct experience or your surroundings.
  12. @Cocolove Yeah it's safe. What else would you expect?
  13. @Dan Arnautu Good point. Initially, i was conflating his steps 1 and 4.
  14. @Ampresus If you're 14 then i bet you have some juicy distractions and habits that suck up your time. Keep up your good habits, but allow some room for some "Do Nothing" and perhaps start a contemplation routine. It could be as simple as sitting for 15 minutes and questioning about your life.
  15. @Eric Tarpall Interesting insight. I can relate to this... That boredom is emotionally difficult to over come, so we like to distract ourselves with little hits of stimulation, whether it be checking our phone or getting up to do something else for a while. I'm working on correcting this by making myself sit and work for 20 or 25 minutes intensely at time, then taking a short break.
  16. @Dan Arnautu Staying present and holding your ground, with an undertone of being willing to fight/have an altercation usually works for me. Even just a piercing stare through someone's BS while staying present is enough to be assertive in a lot of cases.
  17. @bejapuskas The answer in my experience is increasing your capacity to experience emotions. Whether it be good or bad. You need to accept responsibility, rise up the challenge, and be the bigger person. This doesn't have to happen over night, but slowly but surely work on your assertiveness and capacity to stay present during times of disagreements.
  18. @Serotoninluv "Spiritual" as in, being a seeker of some sort of esoteric knowledge.
  19. If a stage green man rejects the identity of being "spritiual", what stage quality is that?
  20. @bejapuskas It sounds to me like a clash of values, which often times drives people apart. The key is not to get bitter or resentful about it, but to understand the group dynamic that is taking place. It sounds to me that your parents are stage blue in the spiral, which my parents are too. You can't really expect them to truly understand what you're going through and why you feel the way you do. Realize that this journey can get lonely at times, so you need to console yourself and give yourself self love. Why? So that you can interact when needed in these relationships accordingly and without underlying feelings that sour the relationships. You're not going insane, you just aren't willing to conform to someone else's value system.

  22. How does one study and understand Space in Actuality? Have you researched topics like Space, Astrology, Cosmology? I find this topic very important to study, as it helps us develop a Big Picture understanding. (Side Note: Has anyone just LOOKED at the moon for an extended period of time? It's baffling!) We often forget that it's there!
  23. What are some ways you will apply Spiral Dynamics to your Career/Life Purpose moving forward? Are you on the right track? Or do you need to aim higher up the spiral?
  24. @Ali123 Do no fap, cold shower, yoga, hit the gym, wake up early, deep breathing and THEN see if you experience benefits or not
  25. @waking_dreams Man, i resonate with your green question. I need to contemplate this and get back to you!
