@Homer Go on a hike with some of them and find a good time to drop in some meaningful "deep" conversation topics that make them wonder.

@Shadowraix This is something that i'm curious about as well. I was contemplating about what a symbol was. On the second day, i had a breakthrough and grasped what it was, in actuality. But what's going on there? I'm not aware of the mechanism.

@Moment Getting back into it is more of a momentum thing. Once you have a streak, it's easier to keep it going. On the other hand, if you take a break from meditation from too long, resistance builds up and it's harder to do longer sits. -

@Moment Yep, sounds like some kundalini symptoms. Get back into your groove of your meditation practice ASAP, but perhaps switch your practices up a bit. It sounds like you are having some energetic openings happening, and you may start to have an over use issue, energetically (I was opening my 3rd eye too much and it started to interfere with other areas of my life.) Body jerks could be an attempt of the ego to regain control over your nervous system. If you continue to be aware throughout these trembles, a new nervous system will rewire itself, which it why you feel super calm afterwards/during a deep meditation session. Remain still, my friend. -
@UDT without theory, you wouldn't be here.

That's super low? Lol, i thought that 1g or less was "super low". Working with lower doses and getting comfortable with them is important for me, as well as making sure my breathing is on point as well as Kriya, and diet/exercise. Are you taking care of those areas? -
@Cocolove The psychology related to personal development and the type of psychology you would be doing at university are much different. Pretty much everyone in my Research Methods Psychology class were disconnected from Being, and this really turned me off from psychology (at least, in the traditional sense.) I would say take the LP course and figure out what specifically you could make a career around, and go for that. It would be wise to figure that out sooner, so there is no time spent jumping hoops in classes that aren't applicable to what you're passionate about.

Has anyone read any books pertaining to Tribalism and/or Cultural Anthropology?

@Mezanti I feel the burn
-
@Mezanti I struggled with this for quite some time, and still do a little bit. For me, finding positive emotions/values i can strive for in public we're key to overcoming this. Example, in the gym, i would strive to have an excellent workout, this motivation gave me fuel to push myself. Another example, when talking to people, i would remind myself of my highest values, and would find a way to bring that into the conversation, so that it provided value to the other person. This could be something like finding common ground in one of our values, or sharing a perspective on something. Being grounded in these really helped me become less in secure in public. This response wasn't as direct as i'm assuming you are looking for, but i hope it helps.

@Alexop "but being fat runs in my family..." False; no one runs in your family.

"Your task is to practice physical relaxation, allowing yourself to feel pleasure while breathing. This may bring up anxiety, “unacceptable” feelings or impulses. The key is to relax and inhale slowly and steadily, gently stretching the diaphragm and rib cage. Then let go as you exhale, without pushing or holding back. If you experience anxiety, try to spread the energy and sensation around the body. Or switch to slow breathing in the belly." -

@Average Investor i feel even more empowered when the weather is nasty and i'm the only one outside and people are looking at me in their toasty warm cars while i'm drenched at the stop light waiting for the light
-
@Shin Just a reminder, Tesla batteries are mined by exploiting the children of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
-
@Average Investor The weather is there for you to overcome! Some of my most memorable runs were in sub par weather.

@Belay kelemework I usually open up OneNote and take notes as he's talking. If you have a MacBook, there is this app called "Helium" that allows you to place the video on the same screen as your current tab, so i can watch AND take notes at the same time, without having to switch back and forth.
