For fast races (800m, 1600m) I like to feel pretty empty in my stomach. This has helped me prevent any types of cramps or indigestion from food. If i were to eat, i would eat extremely light, 1/2 a tangerine would do. But for longer races, i would most likely have a larger meal the night prior, and a light breakfast the day of the race. Whats important is to find what works for YOU. I've gone through my trial and error phase with food before running, so i've been on the tail end of it as well.

Running and self actualization go hand in hand

@OctagonOctopus I love this approach! I'm going to try this next time.

@mandyjw this is good news!! I've been moving a lot towards minimalism as well -- digital minimalism is just as important. Declutter your phone, minimize your inbox, deep clean your car, your closet, your garage, your drawers, and underneath your bed as well!

Have you seen Leo's video on Lifestyle Minimalism??

@kieranperez I have a physical note book near my bed where i can get up and write if need be. If it's really important, i'll get up and jot the dream (lets say it's 2:58 am) in detail and then write a possible action step that i can do tomorrow. Often times, it's about a family member who needs my assistance or strength in a certain domain.

@Matt23 What has your experience been like in the past with this kind of life style ? -
@LoveandPurpose Life is too short to.... spend it worrying about the future or dwelling on the past!

@sausagehead its very easy to fall into a narrow minded way of thinking. Which is why it's important to balance the "seriousness" of life with play, and things that lighten us up. As someone who tends to take things very seriously, i can tell ya first hand that it can make you very rigid, especially in terms of emotions and how you treat people. -

Sounds to me like you're raising your vibration -- this can cause sensitivity to energy/vibrations as well as the pulsating effect you describe. -
@kieranperez Deep breathing and cold showers... at the same time.

We take SO much for granted every single day, so why not compile a list of things that we are grateful for so that we can become mindful of them more often? I'll go first! I'm grateful for having food in the fridge I'm grateful for having a clean body I'm grateful for getting restful sleep I'm grateful to be here, experiencing this moment! I'm grateful for this forum, and all of its wisdom. I'm grateful to have meditation in my life I'm grateful for having amazing people around me I'm grateful that for all the opportunities that come my way I'm grateful for the weather I'm grateful for the breeze, the birds cherping, and the happy animals that accompany us I'm grateful for the ability to voice how i feel I'm grateful for a healthy body I'm grateful for a roof over my head and clean water to drink

@studentofthegame Well anxiety in my experience is located partially in the mind and partially in the body, so both of these need to be worked on and purified. Have you checked out the Kriya Yoga Mega Thread? That's a great place to start, and it will help a ton with your anxiety.
-
@studentofthegame can you impliment some "do nothing" meditation in your routine or some mindfulness practice? Slowing down your life may help as well... You're perfectly fine just where you are at, if you can see it!

@mathieu Raising awareness = turning darkness into light. ^ this puts the ego on edge.
-
@Andreas Interesting take... So that must mean you're a vegetarian
-
@Andreas You could have been born as one of those "arrogant" people you are talking about. Do you realize that?

@KenDo what if you are gonna be ok regardless of what happens? -
@LoveandPurpose are you running away from letting go? are you running away from feeling something very deeply? These are the two questions i would like you to question, and see if there are any clues within them...
