A million years ago, my very first job when I was 15 was at a McDonalds. The nice thing about it is they are very good with training ppl and as long as you pay attention and follow the rules you will be just fine. One person got fired when I was there but he got caught giving away free food to his friends, so don't do that! Good luck!

The beauty of meet-up groups is that many ppl will talk to you and try to get to know you, even if just a bit, because you are doing the meet-up also. Especially with the smaller scale activities like the one I did. Think there were approx.12 women that went on that day. What ethnicity are you? If you want to say? Anyways, white ppl are no better, or worse really, then anyone else. I wouldn't worry about the whole white/not-white thing.

Cool beans! I tried one once last year, it was a meet-up for women to meet friends or just meet-up with other women to do a fun/interesting activity. It was fun. Anyways, my sister did a few of the singles meet-ups before and liked it. There's everything from doing a bar "crawl" with others, to hiking, painting, outdoor activities of all kinds, etc, etc depending on your area and what groups are established.

There's nothing wrong with meditation, so long as you don't expect it to do something it can not do. If you like it and want to keep up the practice, then either split the time or do one practice one day and the next day the other. Im not a meditator, in a decade I've probably meditated 10 times, maybe.

Because I refuse to conform to your forum's usage of the word "love" means nothing. Is it a requirement to post on here? To conform to your teachings and wordage, or your deemed "not awake" and have an attitude? Perhaps, if you want to prove your point, you list what spiritual teachers use the word "love" to mean your true nature, on a regular basis. I'd like to look it up.

Well, I think I have clearly stated (as well as Mikael) I use the words awareness/consciousness, which is/was pretty mainstream in spirituality (I was on another forum for 8 years) or ancient texts at least and therefore are just saying we don't use the word "love" when there are already words such as awareness/consciousness that have been used over and over. So, why throw in a word such as love that holds sooooooooo many attributes, to something that's attributeless!

@Aakash hehe, I flat out don't agree. Maybe I hate my parents? Then in your example consciousness is pointing to hate, not love. Btw, consciousness is not pointing. I "AM" consciousness/awareness. All things including love ... arise, are within....me.

Ack! I don't use the word love either. Awareness/consciousness is just fine by me too. Why confuse the situation by using love or God. Not my thing I guess.

Few months ago I spent about 7 hours in an ER. Had CT scan, a few tubes in a few holes and an IV. Granted, I was a sick cookie, but still I walked out of there without needing to be admitted to the hospital and the bill... $9,000! My share was $1,000 and that was with relatively good insurance.
