  1. @WokeBloke You got it! Bravo ? One awareness experiencing through multiple beings!
  2. @Preety_India Sorry you are in this situation. For us women our legs are more powerful then our arms. Look up defense moves, especially those you can do with your legs to keep her away from you. You can even kick women in the groin. I'm sure it'll hurt pretty bad! You can kick forward, sideways and backwards, then run!
  3. Yeah, I don't know everything either. I actually have a husband that is extremely against the vaccine, but I'm fully vaxxed with booster, lol. It's funny because I never talk about it at home. Yet, he talks about it (Covid, vaccines, etc) every chance he gets and I'm the nurse. ?
  4. Typically, "comfort care" is a term used when the patient and family want only to control symptoms and pain at the end of life, such as when someone signs up for hospice care
  5. ...and I live in...drum roll please......OHIO! I forgot to add that our other major hospital system has the national guard there d/t staff shortages!! ?
  6. @Bernardo Carleial Yes, many folks aren't interested in the brutal truths about Covid and the fact that many ppl are dying from it. Many ppl are being really stubborn about getting the vaccine. One of our largest local hospital systems have put 750 employees on unpaid leave for refusing to get vaccinated under Bidens Medicare/Medicaid mandate. So, they have some doctors and nurses from the Air Force working there now to help out. Pretty crazy. Btw, might want to fix your title to say, "ICU, not UCI".
  7. Wow, it's not like ppl here are paying a membership fee and being promised weekly/monthly videos. No one here has the right to say Leo should be doing anything...even communicating with you about if there will or won't be a video. You have a forum to post on and tons if videos to watch at your leisure. Enjoy it and stop complaining!
  8. If you live in the U.S. you can now sign up for free home delivered covid 19 tests. As of today every household can order 4 free test at website- Covidtests.gov They will be shipped in 7-12 days. I ordered mine and it was very simple. They are also setting up a hotline for those without internet. In addition, all private insurances will now reimburse covid home tests. Save your receipts. Insurers will pay up to $12 per individual test, or $24 for a package that contains two tests, and provide coverage for up to eight tests per person per month.
  9. All the vegetarians will be thrilled ?
  10. Awe, that's really sweet of you to say...right back at ya! Now, to your question, this is from the CDC regarding Covid, but the same advice would apply for the influenza virus. "People with COVID-19 who have symptoms should wait to be vaccinated until they have recovered from their illness and have met the criteria for discontinuing isolation". So, basically, if you are no longer sick and are carrying on as usual, then it's safe to get the vaccine. My advice is to get the vaccine on a day when you have the next day off in case you have side effects. Also, starting Tylenol as soon as you get vaccinated and alternating with Ibuprofen every 4 hours for 24 hours will decrease the odds of serious side effects.
  11. @Space Lizard I currently have a friend in ICU on a vent with Covid/pneumonia. So, believe what you want and spread Covid to your friends/family when your positive, and unaware that your positive.? This thread is about educating others in U.S. that there are now free test kits!
  12. It's like we are avatars in a video game. We seem to have some choices, but not every choice. Choices are already laid out for us within the game by the programmer. The results of those choices are already planned out to, but to know the result, you have to play the game.
  13. @Blackhawk If you do it (I dont think you should). You should post here afterward, so everyone can see if their advice was good or harmful.
  14. There are other ways to help yourself. You just refuse to do any of them, so I won't go into it here. If you want to risk taking LSD then go ahead, but asking ppl on the forum if it's a good idea is not too smart. You already know you are at greater risk then others to have a bad trip and to continue having issues. It's already happen WITH OUT LSD.
  15. Use the mind for Self inquiry, "not this-not that", until you are left only with the ever present witness, consciousness/awareness... The no-mind state. But, that's not a permanent state, it's meant for Self-realization.
  16. No way this is going away soon, imo. This was just published for my state: "In the last 24 hours, 41,455 COVID cases, 472 hospitalizations, 36 intensive care unit admissions and 487 deaths were reported to the state health department. " ...and that's the positive cases they can confirm. Tons of ppl are testing at home with home test kits and quarentining without notifying anyone. From the CDC: "Influenza (flu) and COVID-19 are both contagious respiratory illnesses, but they are caused by different viruses. COVID-19 is caused by infection with a coronavirus first identified in 2019, and flu is caused by infection with influenza viruses."
  17. @ZenSwift Hello, essentially anything that is impermanent and changes, comes and goes, is only "apparently" real (aka illusion) It seems to be real to the person that is also a changing, experiencing entity....but who is the permanent, changeless knower of all of the changing objects, both subtle (thoughts, feeling, etc) and gross (material)? That is your true Self.
  18. This is a zero sum reality. You win some, you lose some and just when you think you're up, then you're back down and vice versa.
  19. ...a person not resisting their addictive vasanas and/or they have shitty karma that needs played out. You suffer if you identify with it.
  20. Well, there was Jesus? ?‍♀️ Most are just too damn fixated on their own selfish wants and needs, not the needs of others, usually.
  21. @SQAAD Soooo, the great cosmic joke has been revealed! ? A Jnani is only free for this current life. Meaning, the cycle of birth and death doesn't really end, because it's awareness (with attributes/God) that keeps pumping out jivas and so long as that continues there will be "identification" with the mind/ego that is slated for the next body as it grows and develops after birth. It all does seem alittle pointless (Moksha), freedom from experience, if that knowledge is just for this lifetime. Then again, all we are dealing with right now is this lifetime...
  22. In Vedanta the Self is attributeless and Isvara (God) is the Self with attributes. So, above I was saying the attributeless Self (awareness) has no perspective per se. When the Self comes under the power of Maya (ignorance), such as when identified as being a human, then it most definitely has a perspective, lol. As it plays hide and seek with itself.
  23. Ahhh, you got me! ? From the perspective of the jiva(person/ego), moksha applies only to the present incarnation. From the perspective of the self (though actually the self has no perspective due to its impersonality), moksha is its nature and, thus the whole issue is a moot point. The reason Vedanta says that self-knowledge ends the cycle of birth and death is because through self-inquiry, the truth of one’s eternal nature is revealed. And the virtue of gaining such knowledge is that it ends the jiva’s suffering within the context of the present incarnation. Cheers
