  1. So I've been watching the show "locked up abroad" on Netflix. It's about people telling their stories about how they got arrested in other countries for doing illegal stuff. What I've always noticed about ALMOST every episode is how the people go through absolute hell, but in the end find their life purpose. For instance, one guy got arrested for stealing stereos in vehicles. He went through prison hell, but when he got out he soon figured out his life purpose was to sell security systems for vehicles. Another guy got caught up in selling drugs. Next thing you know, he's in jail in south america. He goes through hell, then escapes. In the end, he becomes a drug addiction therapist. It's amazing how this is almost always the case..
  2. Here are two VERY helpful things that people I've talked to about enlightenment have told me. 1. You will become enlightened when you stop asking and wondering when you will become enlightened. 2. Don't you think it's more scary being in the status quo?
  3. I forgot to meditate for a day, and every since, my ego has been steadily coming back... It's gotten so bad to the point to where I can't really go into deep meditation anymore. I just get really anxious for no apparent reason, and end up stopping. I personally think that it's just my ego. Any advice on how to deal with ego coming back very strong?
  4. Why? Because, I didn't meditate for an entire day! If you miss even one day of meditation, your ego will come back.... STRONG! I'm now going to have to meditate for a couple of hours straight to get this under control in the morning.
  5. @Tronds World I stared at my reflection through a window at a restaurant one time, and I noticed my face faded away, too. I turned purple, then just went away. Just an illusion by my brain, of course. Plus- it wasn't an actual mirror, and I wasn't meditating.
  6. Has anyone done the "no self" meditation while staring at themselves in the mirror? I think I'm going to try this out tomorrow. It would probably be more effective at obtaining enlightenment. Thanks!
  7. @brovakhiin Mindfulness is what I'd describe it as. I use Leo's guided meditation videos most of the time.
  8. I also feel depression, and loneliness after "no self" meditation. My sleeping schedule is also really crazy every since this enlightenment journey. I'm pretty sure those are normal, too. I'm currently working on getting rid of my ego, and so far, it's working. Onwards!@Christian
  9. Every time I meditate, and I'm about to have one of those "Enlightenment moments", I immediately get scared, and the experience goes away. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Thanks!
  10. I've experienced this, too. It's best to just let everything "be", and observe it all. That's what I do.
