  1. Congrats, you weathered the storm! AL-LAD is extremely confusing at high doses, much moreso than LSD. I'm glad your friend was sensible enough to stay chill on the phone with you and not panic and try to get you to the hospital or something. When you end up in a "psychedelic overdose", it's important to remember that you'll always come down, you're not permanently mad or anything like that. It can be hard to remember that when your in the depths of psychedelia, but I think after this experience you'll have that knowledge embedded deep in your psychonautical core. 450ug of AL-LAD is a pretty huge dose, I'd probably stick to a bit lower than that. It all depends on your sensitivity, so some people need that much, but sounds like that's overdose for you, and it would be for me as well. I've noticed that people seem to report varying potency with the AL-LAD tabs, and suspicions that the blotters weren't evenly laid, depending on the batch, so watch out for that too. AL-LAD and ETH-LAD seem to have a narrower effective range than their parent molecule LSD (aka LAD aka METH-LAD). With LSD many people can feel the effects at 5ug, and then still be able to handle up to 1000ug and beyond. AL-LAD and ETH-LAD seem to be noticeable at near the same bottom end, but become overwhelming way before LSD would.
  2. @Winter The chlorine in water won't degrade 4-AcO-DMT (not significantly anyways), you don't have to worry about that. You *do* have to worry about that with lysergamides (LSD etc) however. If you don't want to buy some gel caps you can get a tiny piece of tissue or a rolling paper and twist the drugs up in there into a little parachute and swallow that. Or just put it in water like you said and swill it down. I seem to remember 4-AcO-DMT tasting pretty bad too, but it's over quick.
  3. @Girzo I do the same thing, except with pieces of aluminum foil and the weight written on them in sharpie. It's a great way to make sure your scale is consistent, nice tip. It never varies by more than 1mg if at all, except one time my batteries ran low and I caught it because the foil pieces measured way off.
  4. No worries @Yonkon, I'm just trying to keep this "High Consciousness Resources" board laser focused so it's maximally useful to everyone. While it's true that scribd (or any other media outlet) is a great resource, it goes a bit without saying, and there's also a ton of un-useful junk that you have to wade through to find the gold. What we're interested in is the gold, so please share the outstanding material that you've found to be very useful, or effective, or insightful and so on. Do you see what I mean?
  5. I know you're heart's in the right place, but this isn't quite the kind of thing we're looking for here. I mean wikipedia, google, audible, youtube and the internet in general are also great resources A little more specific please !
  6. @Mel B that should be fine, but which scale did you get? Did you calibrate the spoon scoops against the scale, ie did you check to see how much a scoop of DPT actually weighs on your scale? If you try the nasal route, let us know how it goes. I find it's not super pleasant but not too bad either. DPT seems gentler on the nasal passages than 5-MeO-DMT is to me. I re-read your posts in here because I realized I hadn't followed the story that well. I think you should also give a good break between the last time you dosed DPT in case tolerance is an issue here. And if you re-dose during the same session, I'd recommend doing it fairly quickly. If tolerance is an issue with DPT, which I believe if very well could be, you'd need to re-dose as soon as possible after your initial dose. If you wait half an hour, tolerance might already be kicking in. I'd recommend just committing to an initial dose, and riding it out rather than starting small and adding on to it. If it doesn't work at the small dose you committed to, try again like a week later at a higher dose. I didn't notice you respond to Girzo's question about if you are on any meds? (or maybe I missed it) Some meds will interfere with psychedelic effects. Alcohol will also severely dull the effects as well, so make sure you aren't drinking beforehand at all.
  7. Partners in Health is really good too. I've seen them in action and they are effective and proactive in empowering and building local health infrastructure, rather than helicoptering in to deliver modern medicine, and then leaving a vacuum once they exit.
  8. Meditation, mindfulness meditation, zen meditation, vipassana etc. Any of the breeds of meditation that focus and slow your mind will allow background karma, neuroses, blocks, trauma to burn off, melt away, resolve. It's a slow but definite process.
  9. 50mg is probably a pretty high dose to start snorting at. For me 60mg was an out of this world, time+reality dissolving dose. I'd start with 20mg snorting, 40mg max. But Girzo asked you how you measured your doses, which reminded me that we do need to look at that. It's possible that if you're using scoops or something that your "70mg" isn't actually 70mg at all.
  10. @Mel B Wow even 20mg for me is a pretty serious dose with DPT, but I insufflate it (sniff). Maybe that ROA is more effective with DPT? Have you tried sniffing? If you do make sure not to sniff too hard, you just want it in your nasal passages and not the back of your throat, so just a light little sniff with the straw up into the back of your nose.
  11. @khalifa The walk is good, but I think you should try doing more exercise. It helps your mind and burns of excess energy too. As a species we are built to do a lot of exercise, we depend on it for our mental and physical health, and most people don't get anywhere close to enough because modern comforts etc. Can you try to do some longer cardio activity like running, cycling or swimming on most days? For me and many other people on this forum, running is extremely therapeutic and helping us to live our best.
  12. @khalifa if you can't sleep, try not to worry about it, and let your body rest. Even your brain and mind can rest when you just lie there, it's important to get some down time. I know it's easier said than done when you're in the middle of it. I've struggled with insomnia my whole life to some extent, and the thing I've learned over the years is just to not even give a shit if I'm not sleeping. If I really can't sleep I just get up and do something productive until I'm tired. It's never that bad the next day, if I really need to sleep, I will naturally anyways. If I'm not naturally sleeping, it just means I don't need to sleep. We tend to make it worse by fretting about it, and having the assumption that we need to be sleeping. I'd add to stay away from screens if you're having troubles sleeping. Screens make our minds wired and less able to sleep. You can look at it as a blessing, you have extra energy and time in your life. You can read some books. Are you getting exercise?
  13. Yeah that was a gooder! It's ironic how Hollywood told this tale through the eyes of the winner. People are so obsessed with getting rich that even when everyone went bust, the story is about the guys who got rich. I'd like to watch the Khan academy ones there, thanks.
  14. For sure marijuana has some benefits for some people some of the time, but I don't think we can even come anywhere close to saying it's of net benefit to consume chronically on a population scale - there just isn't any evidence to support that, whereas with caffeine there is. The little research that exists shows that cannabis is far less harmful than alcohol, but has health risks of it's own, mostly along the mental axis.
  15. This is awesome @Mani ! Good job thats really cool you built that! I bet you learned all kinds of things about programming arduinos and getting motors to work. Keep building stuff, this is a great start.
  16. The dosage advice people are giving you is accurate; if you've taken a lot of psychedelics 25ug is almost a full fledged trip, but if you've new to it it will be extremely mild and possibly unnoticeable. That doesn't mean it'a a bad idea for you to start out at 25ug tho, there's nothing wrong with that at all. Just be prepared to be possibly underwhelmed. If you're feeling tentative, it's a great dose to start at and work up from. 100ug is the kind of standard intro dose, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with starting smaller and working your way up; I encourage it. Can LSD cause psychosis? That's hard to give a simple answer to, but it can happen to make a long story short. Some people who are a bit unstable and take way too much acid, and/or are in a non-ideal (mind)set and setting can go into a temporary psychotic/panic state. It's more of a risk with younger people. Are you concerned with this? How old are you? Personally, I've taken LSD probably 50-100 times in my life and never had anything like a psychosis. I've been around hundreds, thousands of other trippers and have seen it first hand a few times, and heard a few more anecdotes of people going into psychosis. On the whole it's uncommon, and is avoidable by taking the following precautions: don't take it when you're too young have a very good set and setting don't combine it with other drugs - no booze, no alcohol know your source, know your dose, know yourself On average, LSD leads to higher degrees of mental health, but there are exceptions.
  17. Thanks for your update @khalifa it's good to hear that things are improving for you. I assure you that they will continue to do so, you just need to keep giving it time, rest, and take care of yourself. Your body and mind will naturally come back to a healthy balance, you just have to take care and allow it to do so. You're right that everything will be gone one day. Most people don't like to acknowledge that because it's an uncomfortable truth at first. But once you do embrace it, it means you have to snap out of living life like a zombie, because every moment is a precious gift. You're fortunate to have this insight. Some people don't get it until much later in life, or perhaps never.
  18. Running makes me feel good and makes my body strong and healthy. I like to get exercise and I like how it makes me really fit and full of energy. I like running, it's nice to go outside and go for a run, move around. It's really cool to be able to cover long distances with nothing but a pair of shoes.
  19. Caffeine is weird because unlike any other addictive drug that I know of, it actually appears to have a net benefit to health. Some of the benefits include (off the top of my head): increased longevity lower rates of suicide and depression lower rates of many cancers lower rates of cardiovascular disease I don't feel like digging up references right now, so if you want to investigate these claims, don't take my word for it and jump on google! These benefits are based on population scale studies, so there's no guarantee that caffeine is right for *you*, it just means that on average, most people are healthier when they drink caffeine.
  20. Adam Curtis' documentaries tell a very interesting perspective on political power, society, psychology and history. For anyone who's familiar with his work: What would be a good entry point to recommend people to check out here on actualized.org? Perhaps the 3 part Pandora's Box series, or The Century of the Self? Or maybe it would be better to start with his newer ones and work backwards? He has produced a great many documentaries, and they are all interrelated and tell part of his story. Great soundtracks too!
  21. Checked this out. It's eye opening. It's a story I think everyone has heard at least in bits and pieces through media sound bites, but this documentary dives in deep, and it's not pretty at all. Highly recommended, this documentary is vital. It's a problem that we're going to have to continually face, grapple, and address as a society. We need to shine lights on the monsters lurking in the shadows. Something to be highly conscious of as the USA (and other nations) enters it's election.
  22. Breaking news - Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam to withdraw extradition bill: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-49575381 Will this satisfy the protestors? The extradition bill was the straw that broke the camels back in a steady erosion of liberties for HKers. We'll see if they back down now, and if the erosion will continue or not. In any case this is a remarkable turn of events, it is kind of amazing to see Chinese authority buckle under this pressure. It's possible that the protestors will "pay for their sins" under the Chinese surveillance state and credit system via facial recognition technology. Interesting and spooky times.
  23. Wow, what an interesting perspective his would be. I'd like to read some of his books. Here's his bibliography on goodreads Particuarly interesting to me look: Concept and Reality of Existence Sufism and Taoism: A Comparative Study of Key Philosophical Concepts Language and Magic: Studies in the Magical Function of Speech His books seem difficult to find!
  24. @Harikrishnan If you haven't listened to it in full, you shouldn't post it in High Consciousness Resources. It is a place for highly vetted content/resources of the highest quality, therefore moving this to MCES sub-forum.
