Loreena replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Personally I feel the reason for shutting the website and the forum is entirely different than what is being implied. This is just speculation though, never know for sure. Just a hint. -

Oh God Snick, why did you do this. I actually believed all your lies. Pity. -

I get your point. Personally even I was fed up with the arguments, debates and garbage at one time. But don't you think shutting down is extreme and reflects negatively. Why not better moderation. A separate subforum as mentioned before. Why not alternatives Is this the solution that enlightened folks (Or at least assuming they are trying to get enlightened )come up with ? Even kindergarten kids will have better solutions. -

But do you really believe that a website needs to be shut down just for that ? Why not let things be. Those who wish to pursue their journey, they will do it anyway. But those who are curious, let them be. You can't force the directions of the mind. It doesn't work. It only builds resistance. The individual comes back to asking questions again. Holding back won't work. And If they don't let out here, where would they go ? At least here people care to understand and listen. Go to yahoo answers or something similar and post a question and nobody cares to answer. You would feel like a ghost there. There's really no better place. But Sadly..... everything good has to go for some odd reason. It's irony. Now let's begin to embrace the fact that shit happens. It's just a forum. Not a big deal. I would move to another place to find some open minded nice folks. -

I was just getting a bit emotional that's all. There's irony in everything. Seems like I lost my sense of humor this time. -

Maybe it's easy for you. Not that easy for me though. I was getting help here. I wasn't feeling comfortable elsewhere. It's easy to laugh. -

He is not morally bound. All I was saying is that he should consider us as well. Its harsh if he takes all decisions by himself. That's lot invested here. But again who am I ? Right ? Fine. -

Lets not forget that this website /forum is not running because of Leo alone. We as members are contributing as well. What will this forum be without a single member ? I know its a free service. But We're not getting paid either. There's a lot of useful information given here by many people that is available for free. Why should someone put extra effort in writing a long post trying to help out someone with useful tips. Get out in the outside world and check out the fees of psychotherapists. For every little information you're charged. Some of the advice here is of professional level and even better, not to mention the emotional support groups you form here for which you would have got charged elsewhere. And all that absolutely free. We are not slaves . Its not the question of entitlement. Some folks here have paid for products and they have the right to discuss as long as they obey rules. We all have contributed a lot to make this forum for what it is. So we're not to be easily dismissed. Even though this forum belongs to Leo, we are running it. And no.. not just for reputation points. The reason is because we care. Because we're one big family. The Actualized. Org forum family. And there can be fights within a family. We still stick together. And we are a free family. -

You are mixing some things. Aggressors and aggression are two different things. Maybe you can make another post on positive aggression so I'll understand it better. You have a different perspective but it's not relatable here. -

Hmm. Nah. I don't agree. Something seems to be missing in what you wrote. It's not complete. Sad, depressed people becoming violent is more correlated to manic depressive. I'm talking about aggressors, a distinct psychological pattern found in abusers and control freaks. Also those who start a fight first even without prior provocation. -
Loreena replied to Loreena's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I generally agree with you but not on this one. Many people have ego, almost everyone, but all are not aggressors. This is a limited characteristic and definitive problem. It's not found in everyone. I'm learning psychology and I am now learning to associate behavior with material I research about. I have distinctly diagnosed this behavior in a person close to me and In future I'll put down a full detailed structural layout of how this behavior manifests itself and the identifiers that help establish it. It would probably happen in my diary. I'll go in minute detail with the mo. -

Oh God no..... Shucks ! You're cruel. Do you not care about us ? We adored you. We followed you. We praised you. We loved you. Our lives were attached to this place. People get help here. We keep the forum going. How is this fair to us. There's so much valuable content on this forum. People have posted their experiences for months. All of that is valuable material. When someone has issues, they post it here and the feedback and suggestions are tremendously helpful. You didn't want to splinter the community. Yet now it's okay to just dissolve the community. Don't you love us the way we love you ? Just reflect for a moment. And think about us. Nobody can stop you from doing the inevitable. But It hurts to know that we are suddenly disposables ! -
Apologize for my idiosyncrasies. Sometimes I think evil is attractive. It's necessary in this world or else we won't be able to appreciate good. Can evil be used as an agent to do good things and protect the ones who are weak and innocent. Just a thought that ran through my mind. We try to destroy evil by punishing it. How fair is it for society to play God. Evil ones are generally strong, dominant and aggressive. By gradually weeding them out , are we creating a society of Cu*ks and puss**s(sorry for those words but couldn't find a better alternative ). I mean even a criminal could be very intelligent and smart. And his potential gets lost when he is put to death. Of course we end up saving many lives in exchange. But rehabilitation can be an alternative solution if found to be effective. We say bullies are bad. What if you're caught in a situation where you wanna fight against an unjust system but you feel too weak or passive to speak out. And that bully you hated so much comes around, has a change of heart and decides to fight for you and protects you. Your mind then begins to look at the whole thing in a different way. I know it sounds odd but why do we get stuck with the idea that an evil person never changes. They too have some potential that could be put to good use. There are certain qualities /traits that make such persons formidable. These traits are important in war, fights, combat and protection. We're complex creatures and we're a combination of both good and bad. I imagine the devil having a change of heart and going back and protecting the innocent instead of harming especially when the devil is shown some love. Maybe I'm fantasizing strange things. (aka Stockholm syndrome ) But Is it entirely impossible for evil to change. Is evil excessively used as a scapegoat by a society too hellbent on being righteous and sanctimonious. Is evil sensationalized and exaggerated to feed our morally superior egos. Or is our outrage for evil acts justified. Sometimes I even think that our strong vilification and resistance to evil actually causes people to find it even more appealing. It's like you resist fear and fear grows so maybe when we resist evil too much, we allow those forces to grow. Not sure. Maybe I'm being crazy here. But I felt like good and evil are two sides of the same coin and there could be a possibility that the outrage we experience is a result of deep social conditioning. And if we weren't conditioned that way, evil would have been diluted and never existed the way it does. Reformation would then be easier. But Who knows..... . Food for thought. Are we losing more through punishment. Is there a way to retain some of the good or transform evil into something protective, strong and formidable but not harmful.

Can this topic be moved to self actualization. -
Are you stuck thinking about it. Do you think it's necessary. Personally I never think about it.

Hmmm. Maybe sometimes. -
Yup Pisces are deeply spiritual. They're also mysterious and easily the most misunderstood out of the zodiac. But they are very compassionate generous people. Ok enough self promotion now. Time for me to shut up.
