  1. @Javfly33 Thanks for your insight. Much appreciated!
  2. @Nahm How is that different from suppressing/ignoring your emotions?
  3. I find it hard to chose between two things does anyone have any tips that can help make it easier to make a decision? Maybe I am overthinking it.
  4. I believe it's just the way it was before we were born. Pure nothingness. Why should it be otherwise? Edit: With the exception if this is the case: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bounce But in the end, can anyone really know for sure what's after death?
  5. I don’t care about enlightenment. I have a perfectly happy life without it but I would like to know why you should care. What are the benefits from it?
  6. @mountain876 yeah i know you already mentioned it.
  7. Maybe it’s the guilt that comes from doing something you know is bad for you but do it anyways which then makes you lose motivation. I don’t feel any guilt from doing it myself so I don’t lose motivation.
  8. Why not just do it as late as possible? Then it won't affect the daily task. I don't see what's bad about masturbation except if you overdo it.
  9. @Elham Yeah good point.
  10. @Elham It doesn't drain too much energy from me to be honest but it definitely makes it harder for me to decide.
  11. @Elham Well like going to the chess club on monday or stay at home. I could have a good time in the chess club with some people but at home, I can entertain my self with whatever I want. I really value the time I have to be productive also but that make it hard to chose something that makes's me not productive
  12. @ajai Can you post a link to buy the book?
  13. How can experience be the absolute truth if life is just a dream?
  14. The idea of taking 100% responsibility. Some time ago my anxiety was so bad I could barely look people face to face but because of this concept it helped me take responsibility and face my anxiety and after a while my anxiety isn’t that serious anymore.
  15. I guess it’s better. I don’t see what the benefit would be to wait just for the sake of waiting. When you finish a book just start the next one as soon as possible that can help to make reading a daily habit and being as consistent as possible.
  16. @Rasheed Lol even 3 is better. I would be happy to read a book a week.
  17. I barely read a book a month at the moment. I don't think you have to worry about not reading enough. One book a week is plenty anyway. But what you can accomplish in short term isn't as important as being consistent. If you can read a book a week for the rest of your life that would be a lot of books more than just reading just once in a while,
  18. k I didn't know she already knew how you felt.. I just think If you are honest to her about where you want your relationship to go with her it might help making progress in the right direction.
  19. Have you expressed how you feel towards her to her? I missed a girl for years and I told her about it recently now I don't think much about it anymore because I know she knows how I feel.
  20. Hmm maybe just try to judge less and lower your expectations.
  21. Hey i was wondering if anyone know about any good exercises that helps improve your energy. My current morning exercise is to do 1 minuet jumping jack. 1 minuet running in place. 5 push ups. My goal isn’t to train my self but just to feeling energized but I am not sure if what I am doing is to little or not effective enough.
  22. I am working on this too. It's something that requires daily practice. what helped me so far is to try to be aware of these times when I am trying to please others for the sake of others and then step in and instead of choosing something that would please others think about what would "please" myself so what I come up with is more authentic and not forced to make other people happy. Something else that might help is to realize that in the end, we have no control over what people think so what we can't control we might as well let go.
  23. Creativity comes from practicing outside your comfort zone. The key is to do something called deliberate practice. Work on weakness, Get frequent feedback, Study deeply the best in your field, Break things into smaller components, Intens distraction-free focus, Work towards a specific goal, Use direct practice. A teacher that can guide you can be helpful. Be patient. Getting really good at something sometimes takes a whole life-time dedicated to it to achieve greatness. Consistency over a really long period of time is probably better than hard work in a short period of time because eventual being consistent over a long time means you have added more concentrated hours in the long run instead of burning out from long hours in a short period.
