  1. After a bit of research I've realized that there is a strong relationship between highly sensitive people 'HSPs' and spirituality/enlightenment (or maybe self-actualization in general). So just wondering how many of you people are highly sensitive? I would definitely say I am and its made me more spiritually minded.
  2. Breathing in that good ass prana baby
  3. Enlightenment is not a experience, its just another way of perceiving the world. So if all your looking for so extreme experience I'd say go smoke some meth.
  4. If you want to put a end to suffering, yes
  5. I don't think there's anything wrong with porn, if you do then your just clinging to some idea in your head. If you watch it with complete detachment you will be totally ok with it.
  6. @Martin123 Yeah it would be for a lot of people (as it was for me), but I don't think thats a bad thing. I was one of the people who had a very screwed up ego due to upbringing, not being able to relate to people and addiction. Continuously doing all the self-inquiry type practices caused some intense moments of anxiety and I felt like a was going insane like you mention. However I just endured it all because I was fed up with my ego pushing me around all the time. After my ego finally giving up and a series of awakenings, I have no regrets of taking that sort of direct route.
  7. Truth is enlightenment is really simple and nothing extraordinary about it, most people on this forum don't even want it because they love taking there ego seriously. Thats why its so hard for most egos to accept it, because 'you' really don't get anything from it. It's just the realization that you are awareness (which you have always been) and that you don't have any control of the content that arises in your mind. Therefore your ego and thoughts don't even really change after enlightenment realization sorry to say, however there won't be any need to take any of it seriously.
  8. @Martin123 Are you enlightened? If your not, then why do you think your ideas about it are right? What if there's no correct way of becoming enlightened? What if this whole thread is just another way to mentally masturbate and serves no purpose what so ever?
  9. Aware, maybe if you want people to listen to your ideas at least try to write like your not some historic Buddha risen from the dead. It screams spiritual ego because there's no need to write like that, we don't live in the time of Jesus. Just trying to help
  10. It takes time to retrain your brain. Remember that before you got into personal development you have probably had bad habits for most of your life. You can't just undo all of that just like that, you need to keep at it until your brain gets the message. Falling off track in the beginning is unavoidable.
  11. Motus is a great example of how spirituality can seriously delude you.. Spiritual ego on the loose
  12. 99% of people enlightened... as if there's a sure way to determine if someone is enlightened in the first place.
  13. A massive blissful experience (I did have a quite few) after weeks of feeling like I was going insane. Went from chronic aniexty to incredibly relaxed with a heightened sense of awareness. It sure feels good to feel sane for once, it amazes me how lost I was before.
  14. Was just thinking that the concept of enlightenment would be so obvious and natural if we were one of the first humans ever created, before any language was created. What would fill our mines if we never learnt language? Would we think at all? I'm guessing we would just recall sounds we hear and then play them over in our heads haha. Its interesting to think about where language came from in the first place..
  15. You don't need to "seek" to be a sage. What Leo is saying is to be generally curious about the realms of consciousnesses and what there is to discover in life. If your still thinking in terms of what you can attain then that just shows where you are at in your development. After realization all that drops away, however you can still become generally interested in discovering many other things in life which becomes very fulfilling. Life is interesting why wouldn't you want to raise your awareness levels?
  16. I think what his saying is thoughts and mental images are real as they happen in your direct experience..
  17. Sounds to me like he may be Autistic and bit OCD to me. Maybe you should into that.
  18. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world.
  19. You guys will find that it will be impossible to do meditation in the way you think is correct. For example saying that you should do it without a purpose is just making the purpose to have no purpose. There's nothing wrong with this though, it's how it's meant to be. Hopefully sooner or later you will become some so exhausted of your own bullshit that you will see a glimpse of the truth. You can't make this happen, it happens by it self.
  20. I would say its more about being aware as you can't try and accept. Acceptance happens naturally after applying enough awareness to your thoughts and seeing them for what they are.
  21. If you look more into Nihilism I think it's believing that life is meaningless in a negative sense, which will make you suffer.
