  1. This one has meant a lot to me since I was around 13. It was probably my very first mind opener. If you are looking to offer the idea of PD to a teenager in agnst, this might be the bridge. Almost every day I see the same face On broken picture tube It fits the attitude If you could see yourself You put you on a shelf Your verbal masturbate Promise to nauseate Today I'll play the part of non-parent Not make a hundred rules For you to know about yoursef Not lie and make you believe What's evil is making love and making friends and meeting God you're own way The right way To see To bleed Cannot be taught In turn You're making us Fucking hostile We stand alone The truth in right and wrong The boundaries of the law You seem to miss the point Arresting for a joint? (SCROLL UP) You seem to wonder why Hundreds of people die You're writing tickets man My mom got jumped -- they ran! Now I'll play a public servant To serve and protect By the law and the state I'd bust the punks That rape steal and murder And leave you be If you crossed me I'd shake your hand like a man Not a god To see To bleed Cannot be taught In turn You're making us Fucking hostile Come meet your maker, boy Some things you can't enjoy Because of heaven/hell A fucking wives' tale They put it in your head Then put you in your bed He's watching say your prayers Cause God is everywhere Now I'll play a man learning priesthood Who's about to take the ultimate test in life I'd question things because I am human And call NO ONE my father who's no closer that a stranger I won't listen To see To bleed Cannot be taught In turn You're making us Fucking hostile Written by Darrell Lance Abbott, Philip Anselmo, Philip Hansen Anselmo, Rex Brown, Rex Robert Brown, Vincent Paul Abbott • Copyright © Warner/Chappell Music, Inc
  2. You are skipping over a false pretense that someone else can make you feel a certain way. IMO, that is where your epiphany is waiting. It's the thoughts you're choosing that are bringing your emotion about it. You are giving them your power, they aren't taking it. Experience reality from the inside out.
  3. Have you tried bridging it? Like if they love playing guitar, or reading, or whatever, talk about how meditation and PD will allow them to get so much more out of what they love. Couple that with giving a few examples of masters of that thing (guitar or whatever) who do practices. Even Howard Stern does TM on the daily.
  4. Have you tried listening to upbeat music for a few minutes first? That's what I do. Also, buy a pair of jeans that are the size you will be. Hang em on the wall.
  5. Icke is a trip! Love that guy. At best, he's right, at worst, he expands the hell out of the buffet!
  6. Interesting post. I find that people won't believe what they are told, vs blindly believe what they are told.
  7. @BeginnerActualizer Sounds like you have tried getting your happiness from experiences to no avail. I suggest you pick up a hobby that you enjoy, that you can do alone, and that develops your focus. For me this is playing guitar and singing. The knowing that you don't need to go places or have any circumstances to bring happiness makes going places and circumstances much more enjoyable. Also, look for the beauty in the little things.
  8. The most powerful thing we can do is keep to our thoughts of PD and well being and accept another as they are. My wife smoked cigarettes for years while I tried to get her to quit. One day I wished up and just hugged her and said I love you as you are. I told her it was me all along and that I was at a place where I was fine with it and that I wouldn't be nagging her anymore. 2 days later shit quit for good.
  9. There is no assertion.
  10. What you're talking about are expressions of love, imo. I think a 'role' in the trending context is of the confining kind. The kind you don't even know are there, in the shadows. When you identify one of these roles, and realize you're operating from within this role, you free yourself. So you might focus intensely on what triggers your fear, manifest an alter ego of sorts, and even dress the part.
  11. I've found this one has a 3% success rate. Good, considering. It 'meets em where they're at'.
  12. How's this going? It sounds like you want to be a therapist.
  13. Why the cliff hanger bruh? What's your brilliant idea??
  14. I've done over a decade of each; big corporations, lots of traveling, etc, and owning a business. What do you like, generally speaking, (not work specific)? What do you want?
  15. What do you like doing, in general, like in your life - not in your "work life"?
  16. My vision board is my closet. I cover all the walls with everything I want to experience, be or have. One of my favorite things is taking something down, because it manifested and putting something else up.
  17. Change your perspective and your family will change. Or, skip em all together. Experience the latter for a while and you just might do the former in the process.
  18. I'm willing to help you with no strings attached. I am not in affilient marketing, I had to google it. I just mean there are people who want to help you with no strings.
  19. Have you tried a sad light? I experienced exactly what your're describing, but not at all since I started using the light years ago.
  20. Mastering anything couples well with deeper meditation as both become "flow" or what athletes call 'in the zone'. I suggest learning guitar or piano and singing. When you play and sing, you flow. You experience doing it without 'doing' anything.
  21. Just a suggestion from what I like, but try this for a while and see if it serves to increase the mindfulness of your breathe during meditation- http://m.wikihow.com/Sing-Using-Your-Diaphragm My meditations are served by this practice as it increased the acuity of my awareness of my breathing.
  22. When you feel the 'loneliness' think about how you are taking the path less travelled. You're on an adventure. You're going to find what others will never know. You're liberating yourself. If you're so inclined, you can use these things you will obtain in your adventure to help others. You're living!
