  1. Maybe it's just feeling like shit from eating late.
  2. There is no evil. Just an illusion of absence of God. It doesn't help one to conceptually limit God.
  3. Awesome. Best of luck to you. The education system in the US is such, so that you have opportunity for purpose.
  4. People sensing that you had the thought that could help them, but didn't mention anything, is the most powerful way to help, and it accumulates over time, eventually they ask and then look into this stuff.
  5. @Cudin Trying to show others their bias is a repackaging of yourself compliments of your ego. It is you who must learn not to react. Be the change you wish to see in the world - comes to mind. It is the only thing that 'works'. Let go of it. focus on your development. No more reactions. Meditate. When you stop reacting eventually they will notice. They will wonder how you're not mad etc. They will ask. Then they might be ready, might not. Let it go.
  6. @gleb so funny man. Your other one about the victim mentality etc was pretty good also.
  7. It's a lot easier to keep focus physically out in the 'world' than in your head. Print pics or draw or write out what it is you want to stay focused on and tape it to the walls, etc. Also write why you want to focus on it. Get some emotion going behind it. It sounds too easy to work, but try it. Prime yourself by youtubing Tony Robbins, or "motivation". Amazing how 10 minutes of listening to something like that can change our state of mind.
  8. 'Correctly' - do you mean productively? If so, what do you want to produce? I suggest learning an instrument that you can, in the future if you don't already, sing to. Guitar, piano, etc. Do you already meditate & exercise? Those things open door to a lot more things. If you're bored. Google or YouTube Elkhart tolle on boredom.
  9. Does it help at all to account for those beliefs? As in to retrace who told you and how it got reinforced. Or the thinking that if you were born in different parts of the world, you would have been indoctrinated with that regional religion? Also, you could study at least 3 religions, and then start to get a perspective on how they are mostly the same. YouTube Richard Dawkins? He might help.
  10. How long have you been doing all of those habits? Do you do all everyday?
  11. ' The paradigm of the best combination of paradigms, paradigm.
  12. There are billions of definitions for enlightenment. Billions of paradigms. Be sure to consider the motives of others.
  13. Describe each of your parents on paper. Then notice how you created beliefs growing up to make sense of the world. Then notice how your motives derive from the beliefs you creates. My example: Dan was always angry about work, my belief was I can have peace of mind all the time and not have to work. This was a good belief, but still I uncovered my belief. Also, just notice when you feel less than wonderful. Ask yourself, what belief do I hold that is keeping me from seeing this more accurately.
  14. Ditto. lol You rock Slickhawk. Love your way, by the way.
  15. It's cool to experience that fantasy though, no? I mean, I dig it. Anyone one of us could move into a cave if we wanted to. Lots of people do. We have the options.
  16. @Arnie you are without a paradigm that surely you encounter heavy in your days. You probaby deal with the character summations that stem from the coupling of ignorance and ego protection m0re than you limit yourself by it. I admire your vulnerability and honesty. If only people would be Buddhist for a few years before making claims about Buddhism.
  17. @username do both. Do more of what helps / benefits you.
  18. I agree with that, except for the limits you impose. Disclaimer- "That's why I said we relate I said we relate It's so fun to relate" Words of a lazy eye
  19. @jse I'm falling in love.
  20. I don't think everything can be 'cured' from science, nor everything has an answer. Science has cured what hundreds of millions of poeple have died from, or would otherwise die from. It is good to learn and then discuss though. It expands our views. It's one of the best tools to open the mind. It is beneficial. We wouldn't be communicating, at all, with out it. Mostly because we wouldn't have any of the technology we are using right now, and also because most of us would not be alive without it. Using technology and getting immunization shots, then ripping on science, is like living in a peaceful neighborhood and ripping on our veterans.
