Yes. Even ‘dead’ people. Yes. Affect is a very open word. There is no assertion. This is an experience you could say which happens in communion. Does this experience have some kind of affect, yes, it’s life changing. There aren’t any, but in a way it’s limited to the meditative mind, but only due to the thought activity which clouds the communion / communication. Because you’re sofa king awesome, obviously. -

@PepperBlossoms Liberation is free of believing thought categorically, not any one particular thought. Cessation is a literal absence of thought activity. Enlightenment is there never were these ‘things’ referred to as ‘thoughts’ in the first place. Thought isn’t a doing action, and thus one cannot be better or worse at it. That there is one which could, is only thought activity. Try now and see in direct experience. There is nothing which could ever be done which could lead to calmness, as peace is the true nature and is ever present & infinite, just like the sky (is the ‘sky’.) It’s like having a war to get to peace missing there was peace already before the action of war. War is literally made of peace, the appearance of. What we do with that peace, in which it is experienced as war, circles right back to - thought attachment. There is no suggestion here of tackling or harnessing thoughts, nor of an our thoughts, as these are all, thoughts, which highlights thought attachment and meditation. We, one, can not separate from thought, because it’s only a thought believed that one is a separate thing or entity which could be, separate from, anything at all. Thought is very sneaky. And yet sneaky is another thought. There is definitely, with daily meditation, the experience of spaciousness ‘around’ the thoughts, yes. Most worthwhile, and yet mundane, ordinary, truly & simply reality as it is. What empties is conditioning. Maybe think of it like going back to kindergarten, vs doing, or accomplishing, or even working on something. Terms like ‘meditative mind’ or ‘beginner’s mind’ can be very elusive or inadvertently misleading. There seems to be a collective assumption that such a meditative mind is boring, but nothing could be further from the truth. This ‘kindergarten’ is the ‘place’ of experiencing previously unimaginable things, which are not thoughts, ideas, perspectives, etc, etc, but infinite mind, siddi’s, clairvoyance, etc, etc. -

Absolutely true. There is nothing special about meditation. Other than cessation, self realization and the end of suffering. The four noble truths & eightfold path, paired with meditation, bring an end to suffering. Ignorance & cynicism are thought activity which settles & quiets in and technically as the meditative mind. In hindsight those are seen as the suffering. Which one of us defines that ‘supposed to’? See the issue there? Thoughts won’t do. Amen to that. Not to imply in any way that anyone shouldn’t utilize those resources… but you’re highlighting meditation there. There’s just one apparent thought at a time. That’s it. Really open-mindedly lend that some consideration. Connect the dots here to conditioning… the settling of thought activity via meditation… and this unconditional thingy everyone’s talking about. Sometimes we get a lot of momentum going in the direction of suffering from believing thoughts, but there is nonetheless, for you me and everyone else, one apparent thought at a time. It is easy. Finite minds are not only not complicated, they are only an appearance. The reach for solutions is the aversion of feeling… while the best case scenario, is expression, as the releasing of the conditioning. What remains is unconditional, and there truly are no words which can communicate just how worthwhile the endeavor of meditation and expression is. It’s not a matter of luck, randomness, coincidence… …dna, extraterrestrials, or monkeys… and it is most definitely not related in any way to one’s intelligence. That’s a thought, like evolution, or past. -
You’re feeling the wolf you’re feeding. You’re feeling the thoughts & perspectives you’re focused upon. If emotion arises to be released / expressed, definitely allow it to. It’s easy to disregard a statement like this, believing one already knows & understands…. ‘Not belonging to a group’ isn’t an emotion. Use the emotional scale to understand what you’re experiencing. Try to refrain from making it about / believing that it is about you. The way you’re feeling is about the way you’re thinking, and not about you. Express each emotion up the scale. This takes maybe 15 minutes the first time. Feel the relief in not only raising your vibration, but in the shift of ‘this is about me’, to ‘this is about the emotion I’m experiencing, which tells me about the thoughts I’m focusing on’. Know what you do want, and focus accordingly… instead of doubting the universe. Experience that reaction, but relax and feel breathing from the stomach, instead of reacting in terms of behaviors, words, actions. This is how you change the reaction to a conscious response. It takes time. Google ‘how to address issues with intimacy’ and research / learn about this. Again, if emotion arises allow & express it. Like my son did, you are thinking something is wrong and looking for a solution. Nothing is wrong, it’s a matter of letting go of a belief or two, and the habit of focusing on thoughts which don’t feel good to you. You’re free to respond however you like. If your comfort and happiness are contingent upon what other think of you, simply notice you have never actually experienced that anyone is even thinking, let alone what they are thinking about you. You experience what comes out of their mouths, just like the rest of us, and that is no more than their opinion, just like the rest of us. Take rightful ownership of that image. If you’re directly experiencing it, and you are, it’s your image to see through & let go. I could definitely be wrong, and I apologize if that is the case, but I don’t think you’re being bullied, I think you’re projecting that onto someone who is joking around and doesn’t take themself seriously like you do. Bullying is not friendly, joking around is friendly, or neutral. Thus any limits imposed are being imposed by you. The easy solution here is to make a joke about yourself, or a non offensive joke right back to them. I very much believe you’ll find in either case it’ll break the tension you’re experiencing. You could also take a few minutes to feel, to direct attention inwardly to the sensation itself, and see if any thoughts arise as to how, where, when and from who this conditioning was learned. As hypothetical possibilities to get that ball rolling and maybe help something to ‘click’ and thus release… maybe a parent was overly protective, yet very loving, and you’re feeling uncomfortable with new people because they don’t treat you the same, and seeking their approval and validation. Maybe a parent was overly critical, leaving you with an impression you’re not good enough as you are. Maybe one parent adopted an aggressor role, and the other a victim role, and you learned some coping mechanisms. Again, I don’t know, these are hypothetical examples. In any and all cases every one of us are free to focus on a better feeling thought. The simple admittance & acknowledgement of this universal truth is very relieving. Give this two minute clip a watch. It’s a great example of how humor defuses, specifically in relation to a certain well known brand of ‘guy humor’. If you haven’t been around guys much, this might be new to you, but it’s like a known common thing that we all rip on eachother. Some more than others, but the point is those making the jokes very likely do not mean anything so personal and serious as you are interpreting. They might just be having regular old guy fun. Idk. Notice… it is funny. You yourself will laugh at some of the jokes. Notice neither of them are trying to actually hurt eachother. If & when we are fighting, it is only every really with ourself. This may be wildly counterintuitive to you idk, but the instant you stop taking yourself so seriously and focusing on lack (don’t have friendships etc), it is revealed to you that you were holding yourself back… with your interpretations etc.

Sounds like nothing’s clickin perfectly. New video today.

Wanting arises. Can’t do it if ya tried. Expecting is a pinch different and brings duality or thought into the mix. In the surrender sense, whatever source has cooked up is better than anything you could ever conceive and thus expect to happen. But don’t expect that either lol. Yep. Well it’s only a matter of time before you do. Right. Can only seem so via thought attachment. Look for subtleties. Happened implies a past, which implies a separate self in linear time. (Someone to experience an it). Because it is actual wether anyone believes it, get’s it or gives it any attention at all. Probably. Idk.

This sounds like no self realization (psychological / cognitive, yet actual realization) vs Self realization (ineffable). Some thought activity / paradigms are finicky, like possession of / experience of states of consciousness, God realization, etc. With no self, there remains still consciousness. With self realization there isn’t / wasn’t consciousness, God, states, etc. ‘It’s’ realized to be communicative as words or pointings but not actual, and similarly, happiness. In the sense no self realization is the collapse of the “I” and of the repetition of distinctions previously innocently misconceived (duality, subject object thoughts, self referential thoughts, etc) , self realization is the apocalypse of reality. (Not meant poetically or as an embellishment). -

As far as ego self / true self, what’s in accordance / what isn’t, knowing / not knowing, right direction / wrong direction, belief / direct experience, true or false…… the middle way… meditation. -
Nahm replied to PepperBlossoms's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@PepperBlossoms Thanks. Yes & no… that liberation from believing thoughts could be sought is a thought about, which leads to the thought this is a doing, which one is doing and could be better at, and then there would be more equanimity. -
What if you didn’t expect anything? It might sounds nuts but what if the ideal experience is actually not having passed, receiving a gift, getting smacked, and getting a raise? A way to word it, what if what you really want is unfolding… but you’re thinking ‘this ain’t it’? If ‘this’ is it, what’s learned? Something else to consider… is this what happened, or is this what happened to me? It’s not that the mechanics are mysterious, it’s that there aren’t any mechanics. Which seems mysterious but isn’t, and seems sofa king awesome because it is. Likewise, there seems to be paradox but isn’t actually. The world led by doership is basically saying I’m going to seem crazy and unintelligible, but this is only because I am crazy & unintelligible, and careful with expecting anything else.

Essentially, this web page is what I mean, or is an attempt to communicate or point, and it is organized in a top to bottom fashion. Short of reading all that, the highlight of what I mean by no more rollercoaster experience is the section called ‘mental & emotional equanimity’. One way to say it is enlightenment is what I am. Therefore, when thoughts arise about enlightenment, and or what I am, in any definitive manor… the believing of such thoughts is the opposite of equanimity. Being me / one, I don’t have to see someone living their life to see in the words that they are experiencing emotional fluctuations that they prefer not to be experiencing, and to know what it is they therefore desire (equanimity). In the same way there is no actual experience of a me searching for a knowledge in the first place. If that thought arose, and I believed that thought, experience has been shaped such that I am a separate thing, and knowledge is a separate thing. That is confusing because there is no actual direct experience which matches such a thought. Liberation would therefore be the stark opposite of the experience which ensues, from believing that or those thoughts. Going a bit further… in the believing of those or similar thoughts in regard to knowledge… from believing said thoughts, it would then seem that there’s ‘something I need to know, learn or remember’, in terms of spirituality, awakening, enlightenment, etc, while the actuality is there never was, never is, and never will be something necessary to know, learn or understand… and feeling tells me so, if you will. Always was, is right now, and always will be the case. Then it is seen that spirituality is an abstraction, a cover up, which started with, aversion. Only then, could “I have awakened or awakenings or be enlightened”. To arrive at such a conclusion would actually be indicative of ‘being asleep’ in, reaction. Or, to have adapted to the thought attachment ‘right under my own nose’. Or above it, really. Apparently. -
There isn’t anything wrong with you, there is the belief that there is, and that is what doesn’t feel good / resonate, simply because it isn’t true. Likewise, lack is the discordant belief. Lack doesn’t exist, you’re just believing it does and then missing the thought feels very off. You believe that. What’s felt is the discord of that belief. Instead of projecting the belief, reach for a bit better feeling thought. Choose perspectives that resonate. Get humble. You don’t know that, or really anything discordant at all. That’s why some thoughts feel so terrible. You’re assuming people know stuff. I’m over twice your age and I’m hear to tell ya, no one knows anything at all. This is a situation of absolute anarchy we’re all in. That assumption of what someone wants or knows can meet the actuality of sharing & expression (instead of continuing to assume). Likewise, fear is an emotion you are experiencing, and not the other way around. No one can get themself to try, because one is already oneself. The actuality of the situation is the believing of the thoughts, and not any kind of actual lack, shortage or limitation upon you. You’re trying to ‘bend the spoon’, which is impossible. Be the change you wish to experience - and you do. Ashamed and embarrassed are not emotions, they’re conceptual justifications. In feeling & understanding emotions, the justifications no longer arise. Well, you aren’t, and that’s why the belief feels off. What you’re feeling there is a never ending new opportunity to choose alignment / well being (which is highly attractive btw). ‘Years & years’ is only a thought about ‘years and years’, and is not actually years and years at all. Self-doubt, shame and defeated are concepts not emotions. Thinking in double negatives is two too many. The happiness of adding a her is wonderful but surface level and typically short lived. The happiness uncovered from the subtraction of beliefs is eternal. You can have your pie and eat it too. Open up to this possibility. Understand the emotions you’re experiencing. Go see what an experience actually is… it’s not your assumption, beliefs and justifications. It’s an experience. The belief is ‘I don’t have any beliefs in this domain’, while the actuality is you’re holding a bunch of beliefs and it’d feel great to inspect and see through them. Expression is the way.

@OBEler Again, speculation on words / text here idk but … ‘mental illness’, ‘a this could heal her’, ‘met and became the Gods’… it’s the thought activity which perpetuates the identifying as, from, by the experience. Psyche’s can be wonderful breaks, but the simple tools that stick or release identity deeply and for the long haul like the emotional scale might be missed. Certainly not meant in any belittling or minimizing way, but the key is the experience isn’t happening now, the thoughts and discord are.

Nahm replied to PepperBlossoms's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@PepperBlossoms We can’t, but you can, everything isn’t conjecture, nothing is already known, and liberation is the stark opposite of varying degrees in the sense that’s a thought, like everything. The only point in mentioning is the end of the undesirable rollercoaster. -

@WokeBloke What’s one of your favorite things to drink? And eat? What’s your favorite place to go? Notice a reaction arising to answer but don’t. Relax, and respond instead with something completely unrelated. You can do that. Nothing else can do that. -
@Lyubov Absolutely. ?

Nahm replied to PepperBlossoms's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@AlphaAbundance It’s entirely conjecture and thus inherently misleading. It’s basically playing enlightened, not based in direct experience. Also entirely innocent. This is actually the good news. Connect dots brother. Much love. -
Nahm replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
In the ‘when you see it’ sense yes. Listening is one thought. That’s it. -
Nahm replied to PepperBlossoms's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Start with what is “everything”. -
What is meant by things? The experience of an expectation, and how it compares to actuality or in the loa what manifests. But, I always suggest in all circumstances, meditation, psychedelics, life purpose, career, relationships, family, etc - let go of expectations. Also, I like being part of the forum, and I love the community. It’s a weird paradox perhaps, in a world lead by doership, things like let your expectations go is colored as the push back, or one pushing back. It’s funny if you get what I’m sayin here. (For sake of clarity, the situation or predicament could be seen as funny, I am not at all saying the suffering this creates is funny.)

@OBEler What do you mean by it’s going down? In case I don’t hear back from ya on this one… panic attacks should be listened to, not fought against. It’s a lot like quicksand. Panic attack is a message in regard to resistance. To frame it up as something to fight against is to add more resistance, just like adding more quicksand is not gonna help someone in quicksand. You could up the dose, use stronger substances, etc, and indeed there will be momentary relief, but not lasting, and unfortunately this can backfire in a way too. Psychedelics can be both relieving, and one ton of quicksand, both as in the same trip… in the sense that in the relief, the thought activity hasn’t subsided, but feeling has been amped up, and then the thought activity resumes, while the sensitivity is heightened, and yada yada, hamster wheel I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. This is one of the main reasons I don’t recommend psychedelics (and neither do I suggest one shouldn’t take / use them either). Idk, but it’s quite possible this is what she’s experiencing with the teacher. What’s identified might be feeling resolved while it’s simultaneously projected under the radar onto the teacher. (Idk) Then what might be happening is enablement, or, you joining her in the believing of the thoughts, that he is a bully, and that’s how it ‘went down’. Again, IDK. You could be assisting is her not feeling sadness, which is the same as helping her to not feel & know her source. This is basically speculation from a few words you know what I mean? I don’t mean anything personally. Hope it doesn’t sound that way. I can easily sense how big your heart is, and this is pretty sensitive stuff.

Nahm replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yep. And I’d add it’s more noticing there isn’t doing, then stopping doing. It’s not a test of what is actual. It puts what is being believed to be actual to the test, and reveals what is not actual. -
Nahm replied to PepperBlossoms's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Reality is indeed real. If you or someone you know are believing they are imagining reality this is not an existential or enlightenment matter, this is a mental health issue and the sooner they get help the less risk of more suffering and of potentially harming.
