  1. @DMM710 1g is a good amount to start. Make tea, don’t eat them. I’d write “Let go, surrender” on a piece of paper and have it around. You’re not going to feel any “stabbing in the neck” stuff. You might have an intense confusion feeling, and the piece of paper will remind you to breath, relax, and let go. Just sit back and let the medicine show you some truth. ❤️
  2. Meditation, yoga, breath work, psych’s, etc.
  3. @Widdle Puppy The world is suffering, some are in pain. Pain is accidentally getting your balls stuck in your zipper. Suffering is worry you’ll do it again, worrying others might do the same, reading books about this happening in history, starting a website so you can attract other people who worry about this too, eventually painting this color on your whole reality and worrying the rest of your life away. You just gotta grit your teeth unzip that shit, and move on.
  4. @Slade There is a forum member who is just a bit ahead of you on that pursuit that would probably be a big help. I can’t remember his name. If you do some searches of words like comedy, stanp up, etc., you might find something he wrote on a post.
  5. @Nathan Now you just have to realize you’re the actor. And have fun.
  6. https://www.actualized.org/forum/topic/17747-nonduality-meditations/#comment-181291 Breathe Awareness Meditation Stress is an extremely unhealthy condition. It causes the body to release the chemical cortisol, which has been shown to reduce brain and organ function, among many other dangerous effects. Modern society inadvertently encourages a state of almost continuous stress in people. This is a meditation that encourages physical and mental relaxation, which can greatly reduce the effects of stress on the body and mind. Sit still and pay close attention to your breathing process. Take a reposed, seated posture. Your back should be straight and your body as relaxed as possible. Close your eyes, and bring your attention to your breathing process. Simply notice you are breathing. Do not attempt to change your breath in any way. Breath simply and normally. Try to notice both the in breath and the out breath; the inhale and the exhale. "Notice" means to actually feel the breathing in your body with your body. It is not necessary to visualize your breathing or to think about it in any way except to notice it with your somatic awareness. Each time your attention wanders from the act of breathing, return it to noticing the breath. Do this gently and without judgment. Remember to really feel into the act of breathing. If you want to go more deeply into this, concentrate on each area of breathing in turn. Here is an example sequence: 1. Notice how the air feels moving through your nostrils on both the in breath and the out breath. 2. Notice how the air feels moving through your mouth and throat. You may feel a sort of slightly raspy or ragged feeling as the air moves through your throat. This is normal and also something to feel into. 3. Notice how the air feels as it fills and empties your chest cavity. Feel how your rib cage rises slowly with each in breath, and gently deflates with each out breath. 4. Notice how your back expands and contracts with each breath. Actually feel it shifting and changing as you breath. 5. Notice how the belly expands outward with each in breath and pulls inward with each in breath. Allow your attention to fully enter the body sensation of the belly moving with each breath. 6. Now allow your attention to cover your entire body at once as you breath in and out. Closely notice all the sensations of the body as it breathes. Repeat this sequence over and over, giving each step your full attention as you do it. Suggested time is at least 10 minutes. Thirty minutes is better, if you are capable of it. If you find yourself distracted by a lot of mental chatter, you can use verbal labeling as an aid to concentration. For example, on the in breath, mentally say to yourself, "Breathing in." On the out breath, say, "Breathing out." Another possibility is to mentally count each breath That’s good for relaxation and letting go. Learning to let go of the concerns we carry reveals to us we added them. Practicing mindfulness is practicing not adding them again. Anxiety is a false understanding and view of one’s self. It is chronic “serious person & serious reality ness”. That would take more intense practices.
  7. @Nathan It only makes sense if everything actually is ok. If an actor from a scary movie suddenly yelled to you from inside the tv “Yo Nathan! Why are you watching a scary movie!!??” What would you tell him?
  8. Of course it’s ok. You’re already on the path. What you‘re creating is the foundation of self actualization.
  9. @egoless Yeah, and maybe as a reference point, I’m 43, I started working full time when I was 13.
  10. Another thought on that, it really all relates to consciousness work. I find most people are pre-conditioned out of the whole idea of passive incomes, they don’t even entertain it, or learn, or ask. Being ‘spiritually free’, if you will, is a real game changer. No more fears and worries to try the new. Money imo, even in the biggest picture, is just a game of relativity. The illusion itself in that way. It’s like that street game of 3 cups and a peanut, and someone is either trying to win on their peanut bet, or realizing there is no peanut, and moving some cups.
  11. @egoless Read, meditate, read, meditate...it’ll come to you. I think most if not all your personal obstacles have been worked on, and are now behind you. So in a way, you’re 99% there imo. Exercise and meditate every morning, high energy and a calm mind are a solid combo. I know you want specifics, but it’s too relative. Keeping your LP in mind, a YouTube channel is probably a great start. Maybe be a silent partner for something simple like a Subway- go cover 50% of the start up with someone who wants to quit their job and work there for a while and has the other 50%. Rental houses are great, but not sure what you mean by a small amount of money. Rental houses range from as low as 20K (down payment & closing costs 4K) upwards into hundreds of thousands. Not sure if you saw this on another thread, but just an idea on a 5 year plan to have around 100k passive income for life.... If you net 50k from a job, and live on 25k, you can buy 2 rental houses for around 60k each year. If the rent from each house is 1000 a month, and you put all of the net after taxes & insurance towards a 30 year mortgage, it’d take about 5 years to pay each house off. It’s similar to laddering cd’s or fixed annuities. You’d be ‘done’ with the process in 5 years, and income would go up as mortgages are paid off, incrementally, years 6-10. I have a realtor who goes and looks at the houses, gets the inspection done, and emails me the contracts to esign. So technically, my time invested is going to the closing, which is about 30 minutes. Took a little while to develop that relationship with him, but I bet if you called 5 realtors, 5 would say hell yes I’ll do that for you. Maybe once every two years something needs to be repaired, and I text the appropriate repair person. There are also online home auctions. People routinely get houses valued at 100-200k for 40k. It’s crazy. I’ve looked at that but haven’t tried it. That’’s just some info on one avenue. Some people can write a book in a week, and make residual commission from ebooks. Etc edit: Time invested, the closing, and also posting on free rental listing sites, and showing the house for a couple hours to pick a renter and sign a lease. I use Zillow.com. It has free listings, it automatically posts the listings to other sister sites, a simple rental application for tenants, and even a simple property manager page to keep track of things visually.
  12. This probably sounds like nonduality snobbery, but my life doesn’t have a purpose. It is the purpose.
  13. @egoless Ya. Some are on auto, some are under way, some I’m just starting the learning.
  14. @lightfruit Get down to nothing with honesty and inquiry. A single belief will be a barrier.
  15. Residual passive income sources; Insurance sales, rental houses, song writing, book publishing, any turn key franchise (if you’re good with people & accountability), invent & patent, make an app, invest in someone’s start up, crowd funding real estate, REIT’s,affiliate marketing, drop shipping, YouTube channel & ads, air bnb’s, be a referralist, etc. Start where you can and parley it into the next larger income generating one. Delegation & outsourcing are key.
  16. @MarkusSweden Not positive; genuine, honest, open minded & curious ........>>>>> Truth.
  17. @Solace Me reading this thread.....What the actual Fuck?!?!........................oh ok, good. I am very happy for you. I’m also curious, was the 2 hour head stand done to make the looping easier? ?
  18. @Nadosa Nothing is wrong with you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. This is the rubber band being pulled back, stick around, when this thing turns around (and it will), you’re going to experience a life better than anything you can presently imagine. You just don’t realize you are choosing how you look at things. Specifically, you’re unaware of how you think of your self. Your level of being “right” and your stubbornness is at Jedi Master. Master how you chose to look at things instead. I was in the same exact place when I was 19. I lost my mind. Literally could not remember my first name. You will be all the better for having experienced these depths. You’ll be in a world where everyone is afraid. But you won’t be, because you made it through this. This, will make you who you are. You will be fearless. You’ll laugh at fear while people around you are crying like babies and shitting their pants. In the limitless, there are no answers, because there are no questions. In the finite, we create the questions without realizing it, and therefore seek answers that we never needed an answer to, to begin with. Everyone does this - they state that which their question arises from, and they say “I know it’s not this, so don’t ask about it”, revealing they are already aware of the answer, but struggling to realize it, to face it. “Dont question why there are these patterns, I dont know” - You reveal that you do know, and that you are choosing these patterns. Can you give some background info to help us help you... What were the last few books you read, to reshape your views? What does your daily meditation look like? What does your diet look like? What does your daily exercise look like? What is relevant from your past? .... Moved a lot, trauma, reoccurring traumas, financial insecurity / suffering, etc?
  19. @Charlotte First you perceive being cut off. Then you interpret it. Then you sense the trigger, or are triggered. Then you are aware of the triggering, and react, or don’t react. I’m saying the interpretation was false and the rest need not take place. What is referred to as homeostasis here reveals a present perception which is being tainted by a misunderstanding of something that was experienced / observed in the past. Until that misinterpretation of the past event receives the light of awareness, it perpetually adds falsity to present perceptions which seem unrelated. The Truth shall set you free. @AlexB (I hope you don’t mind me using your post in this way to explain this) It is impossible to lose self development. Because you did some self development, you now know better - as in, you know more so what you want and what you don’t want. If you don’t align and make choices from what you now know - “It sucks really bad”. You know what you need to stop doing, and you know what you need to keep doing, and you know what you need to start doing. You can. You totally can. Identify what you need to do, and WRITE IT DOWN. A thought in your head has got nothin on something physical your eyes can see. It’s a total game changer. Not to mention, it gets it ‘out of your head’. Keep it in front of you. Hang it on the wall. If you need to stop doing a habit, meditate for 10 minutes, 10 times a day to slow yourself down and make more conscious choices. If you need to forgive someone, sit quietly alone, and do it. The forgiveness is for you, not them.
  20. @Charlotte Yeah. An example might be, I am aware I get frustrated when someone cuts me off in traffic (keepin it simple here). The falsity is that someone cut you off. They cut some nameless, faceless person in some car off, because they suffer from overinflated self importance. They believe they’re more important than the person they cut off. So, they’re in a hurry, cause their ‘shit to get done’ is more important than others. They’re in a hurry because they have not learned to be present in the now. They have not learned this because their ego is running rampant. They are afraid to self inquire through the false perspective of reality and of self they adopted when something happened in their past. The truth is, no one cut me off. That was just some guy who is looking for love. He believes being important and hurrying will make him feel better. Bliss is inside him, and he doesn’t have a clue. Now, how will you feel the next time this event takes place?
  21. @zoey101 Have you done this yet? @who chit Excellent post.
  22. @AlexB There are things to let go of, and false understandings to be truly understood. Do you have awareness of what frustrates you, what you experience which causes you to think lowly of yourself?
